Grimtooth Assassin

I was thinking about making a Grimtooth assassin for Juperos or Rachel in order to make some money and see if it was more efficient than my knight. I did some researching and this is what I came up with:

Pecopeco Hairband
Pecopeco Ears
Assassin Mask (just for the looks)
Thief Clothes/Naga Scale Armor
Wool Scarf (Raydric or Whisper)
Tidal Boots (Sohee, Matyr, Verit)
Thief Ring
Cold Heart
Infiltrator for Rachel; no idea for Juperos
Curse arrows

I'm guessing this build would have high DEX (Grimtooth dmg) and AGI (Flee, ASPD for after-cast delay), some STR (weight limit) or INT (more SP).

Any ideas, comments, suggestions on how to improve this half assed build?

So, from the start...Dex, hm, 50 is enough for 100% hit on all but one kind of venatus. All are formless/medium, so best weapon is +10 Jur with 2x peco egg and one skel worker card. You want high STR actually as GT is dependant on it, so 100+ (assuming it is 99/70). INT and VIT are next to useless, GT doesn't take much SP, and no amount of vit can save you if you do something wrong and get attacked by your whole mob of two dozen or more monsters.

Looking at equip, it's okay, I'd actually prefer Aliot card in garment, or at least Whisper-while mobbing, you usually just have to dodge 1-2 mobs until you do something wrong, and then only quick flywing will save you. Also, best combination is Pantie+Undershirt+Black Leather Boots (preferably all slotted, BLBs +9).

I thought Grimtooth would be dependent on DEX since at higher levels it's considered ranged, according to irowiki (http://irowiki.org/wiki/Grimtooth). The server is 99/70. +9 BLBs are not an option. I can barely make my equipment +7 and it is quite time consuming.

You've got a little mess in fact how do ATK works.

It is not about the skill. The weapon you have equipped determines what stat will be your main +ATK stat. No matter if the skill is ranged or melee, it will simple take the ATK you have in your stat window and use that as base (for example, maxed GT is skill wih 200% ATK so it is twice as powerful as your normal melee).

And the only weapons that use DEX as main ATK stat are bows and whips/instruments.

For me all i do is fix my stats, i dont worry about the equipment really. Unless you want to be a PvP Sonic Blow / Grimtoother

+9 antique firelock sandals or shoes should be quite easily obtainable even for a 99/70 LR...

imho GT sins only need high STR and med-high DEX (depending on what you want to farm) and agi for spammage (helped with Aspd pots)...

so yeah an aliot garment would be wonderful. Most of what sarin said holds true, if you wanna GT fast it's good to mob and bring sp pots and/or a bit of food for those little lags/mishaps... don't forget fly wings for stun-lock sticky situations...

just maximise STR/ATK so if you can't get +9 antique firelock sandals/shoes, the shackle-BSB combo does wonders or if it gets you to the /10 STR multipliers any +x firelock footgear helps...

porcellio armor is also good and really vit and def shouldn't be so important if you're a GT sin...

and it really depends on whether you're just grinding for lvls or hunting for items, but if you want exp then exp footgear cards are good...

PS: getting 70-85 dex wouldn't hurt and it would help you hunt gold acidus even when you're only an 8x sin
