Suggestion on the Item Database

I don't know if it's possible to do so, but it would be nice if you could sort the items in the database on the time that they were added. Or perhaps select which episode they belong to.

Like when I want to see what new headgears there are in episode 12.1, it's kind of hard to do so now. But if I could select headgears and then set it to sort on the date that they were added or select Episode 12.1, it would help a lot.

to tell u the process, u know items can have stat/effect change .. so when i update i just drop the whole database and add in everything new .. there's no date or episode reference i can refer to, everything follows eAthena's format.

Kind of a late reply but would it be possible to sort on the Item ID then? I mean...the newest items seem to have the highest ID's right? If you can sort on that, you can let the newest items show on top.

I think the newer items are still mixed in with the older items
most of the time ID's don't happen from lowest to higest

That's right. They have for example, all the 4000 series are cards. i.e. 4001 is poring card. and then guards are in the 2000 series. Something like that.

maybe .. i mean maybe ... if i remember it the next update ... i could have the old item db table put aside for comparison with the new table ... that could give the new item ... but i am not sure if i want to do that.

Maybe you can start "dividing" the next updates from the current rather than looking up the past episode divisions.

That way, Satan Morocc's content would be seperate, and every new item will be included as *New* , and is good because most p.servers would make it as a reference to seperate the current database from the new one.

i dont update by episode unfortunately. i just update when i feel i have the time and the stuff is getting old.
