PandabRO Chaos Server Review

Hello everyone, I'm a new member of the forum, though I have always been lurking around for awhile already. I've played quite a number of RO servers already, but nothing has caught my eye or interest for that matter. I play for around a week or so and just leave since I'm just a solo player and I don't really interact with people that much. And much more, usually #main chat is full of drama so meh. As I was playing this server, I saw the GM teams active and dedicated enthusiasm to create a successful server. Whenever you have questions or concerns they actively respond to them either in the forums or in-game if they happen to be online. This is the reason why I am making this review for the server as thanks and gratitude to their hard work. Anyways I will now start my review.

PandabRO Summary Rating - 8.5/10
- The server offers great Classic feel to the game, there were numerous bugs and errors here and there however the development team or GM team was able to deal with it quickly. In most cases, bugs would normally start popping out in any server that opens but in PandabRO they were able to handle the bugs well, fix them in a timely manner and would compensate the players if they have extended their maintenance. Although population is still growing, this server has a good chance of being a more successful server.


Classic Feel: 7/10

Well it is Classic, however there are some pre-renewal or renewal headgears (costume) out already, but the quantity is not overwhelming nor all players are wearing them, only a few players are able to get a hold of these items. I asked around and they say they got it from completing a quest, some got it from events held by the GMs and some had luck in killing MVPs and they got it from these "Mystery Travel Packs" that the MVPs would drop if you are lucky enough. Most of their costumes consist of classic headgears too, so that is another plus for me, I just don't like the idea of having mounts enabled in a Classic Server.


Community: 8 / 10

The community in PandabRO are comprised mostly of Brazilian players, but do not mistake me for it, they are good people. The community is great and they love interacting with everyone around. There are some players from the US as well and they can communicate with the community quite well, I am one of those who do not understand Portuguese but I am feeling comfortable with the server right now. I only rated it 8 because of some language barrier in between, but despite that, players are able to communicate with each other. Lastly, the forums is very active as well! GMs are constantly updating them, heck, even posts that are in Portuguese gets a response from one of the admins that do not talk or understand Portuguese especially if it is in the support or bug report section.


Server Stability: 10/10

This might be strange, but the server has never experienced any downtime yet! The time I played in the server, the server never went down, there was occasional lag, but it's not that bad. The only time they would be down is because the GMs are having a maintenance and has to take the server down for a few minutes. They don't even last more than an hour doing maintenance. With that said, I gave this rating a 10 because the server is very stable at the moment.


Events: 5/10

They have automated events here and there like Disguise and Poring Race, however they do not have that much Events. GMs seldomly do Events in-game, as far as I have counted, they did 3 events since the server opened (while I was online of course). I have no idea how many in total did the GMs conduct an event, but it was not that many. In a way, this is good because server economy and stability is ensured, because economy tends to belly up if GMs keep giving away prizes and the likes to all the players or to some players. And it is a classic mid-rate server, so people tend to farm more than to keep an eye out for events (except for Costume rewards).


Economy: 7/10

Not much trade happening yet, but everyone is farming for their own items. So far there are merchants vending in Prontera and they are selling some items here and there. Some even sell the stuff the Tool Dealer sells just for profit I guess. Essentially, you don't have to actually buy the stuff, you can just hunt them yourself and it doesn't really take that long to drop the item you need.


Balance: 10/10

They've actually done it! They have balanced out the useless Assassin class and the Blacksmith class. They are now viable killers and support in terms of PvP and WoE! I am playing an Assassin class and I am very happy with its performance. Someone I know in-game was playing a blacksmith and he said the improvements made to the class make it very dangerous in PVP. The GMs have posted about it in their forums and the community were also happy with the buff of the classes. I am still looking forward to more class balances from the GMs from now on.


Administration: 10/10

Now this is rare, mostly players would rate Administration low or somewhat lacking. However I will rate them 10 just because of their dedication in fixing errors, fixing bugs and supporting players as much as they can. As far as I can see, if you post any bugs or errors in their forums, it will likely get fixed in the next maintenance which only last for about 5~20 minutes. GMs are also very entertaining in-game, in a sense that when you have questions about some stuff, they actively respond to you if they are available, though sometimes they would AFK in town, but that is understandable. The admin team is a duo of Panda and Ryakudan, and both have good communication skills, they can speak English in an understandable manner and can support their community to the fullest. For this, I give them my support and wish the server continues to grow and I am expecting more from them as well. Great job guys.


PVP / WOE / BG: 0 / 10

Because they haven't opened WoE or BG yet. And no PVP is happening since everyone is busy gearing up. I am expecting a very intense fighting when the server open its WoE and BG features which will probably happen in a week or so if lucky enough to get the proper amount of players.

Well that's it for me. I wish this has been an informative and non-offending review to the server or to anyone in the forum. Please do join us, they have posted their information at the server advertisement forum and I would love to see the server grow more and more.
