I should also throw in this little piece of knowledge: If you go to private servers, you support the theft of copyrighted intellectual property

The basis of private servers is founded on the theft of other's work, so why not rip off website layouts from Italian blogs like http://www.artedelweb.it/ and claim them as your own.

Uh, there's a difference between "stealing"(Which is more like "using stolen goods" anyway) eAthena which is a huge project pretty much impossible to do alone and stealing a site which could be made in 30 minutes in any site making software by drag&dropping pictures with no skill required whatseover.

Can you actually find the website layout from http://www.artedelweb.it/ ? because I  cannot.  If it's a public layout then it would solve a lot of problem. 

As far as FeelRO told me, the layout is made by them.  On the other hand, Lucy RO said their layout is made by the admin of http://www.artedelweb.it/ to them for free.

It seems http://www.gothicro.ea.sereon.net/ changed or they are just moving hosts?

ok it could be but if that admin was so good to make such a lovely site why every page was a plain blank page with simple words in times new roman on it? sounds fishy to me, plus having seen their previous website it makes me laugh a little.. (don t come with "they could have used it as a provvisory one", you prepare yourself for good before opening a server, if you don t then you just don t know how to do your "work")

While feelro started from way before that date.. it DOES sound strange to me.. i mean if you take ispiration from someone's work at least give him credit for it..

pps: knowing the coadmin i personally don t believe it's they're own work but again it's just an opinion

hmmm, i dont really understand about this theft 'thinggy' but, as far as i know this private servers offer another chance for 'poorer' people who cant afford to pay time slots to play the original servers...so, although most people do don't support this servers but i intend to support them all the way, as they make my life happier.. ..(sorry if i got the message wrong or anything, i dont realy understand what im talking about..hehe)

all the stuff on many game servers can be gotten on aegis board and eathena. but gothicro also has their players and gms go to other servers and give them bad ratings for their own benefit.  me myself i modified my server with stuff thats given for free. that was already in grf form. although it may not be a usual way but it is faster to go to other servers and get the stuff you want to put on your server thats already given out by eathena and aegis. oh and there are even more sites that give out ro sprites too. i just cant remember them all. lol ok gamerzplanet gives out ro sprites as well. i will update this as i find them.
