Looks like the community and the team has moved on.
It is a pretty good ending for a server.
Wow never heard of this server. Is the population high?
I remember Peter, RF used to run on Aegis and was one of the bigger server at some point in time.
Okay, I hope he does well in the next stage of his life.
Now it'll become even more impossible to get any old Aegis files.
Really sad that such a legendary server closes, even though I never played on it myself.

It was an island of (relative) stability back when RO emulators were still buggy pieces of garbage and iRO still cost money. It peaked at over 600 players during WoE in the '00s.

I never realized that Frontier-RO uses Aegis emulator (WOW) server. I tried that server 1 time that was 2006 (meWmeW) and i quit. and Moving to High-Rate server /omg
Whoever is that person you should take care of that emulator it's f*cking legendary (Aegis).

Congrats on the teams that kept it running this long in the first place.
I only briefly played around with Aegis files a long long time ago and it was quite the challenge. Kudos to them.
At least the players have some time to say goodbyes, exchange info to keep in touch and such. Some servers just close with no notice.
