Things I don't like:
MvP Arena.
Player Megaphone/Announcer NPC.
Hired Assassin Ninjas NPC.
All quest headgear available through shops.
Drop rates of 100% for everything.
Experience rates at 99k/99k+
Money charging healers, anything besides one click healers.
Money charging warp NPC's or warp commands.
Rank announcements.
Custom overpowered jobs.
4 slotted equipment, and 2 slot shields on everything.
Malls that have all cards available.
One NPC used for everything.
100% Refiner.

Hanyuu

Can I say that I don't like the people there? As well as everything Zairik listed....

I hate any main town besides pront.
I hate too big pvp rooms for such a small ammount of players.
I hate mvp card drop rates at anything higher than 1% no matter what the drop rates are.
I hate having all castles opened when there's only one or two guilds.
I hate random announcements.
I hate stupid GMs.
I hate Super Players.
I hate not being able to zoom in thor or abbey.
I hate nerfs of any kind in a 99/70 server with reasonable rates.
I hate lag.
I hate bots too.
I cannot quench your thirst
Because even if you yearn for the truth, you refuse to believe in it.

I cannot quench your thirst
Because no such truth exists that you are in anticipation for.

But I still want to quench your thirst.
Because I am the one the that put you into the desert.

Omi

Low rates with a max level of 99/70 and max 99 stats.  I don't really care much for the job level cap, but it's boring just going to 99 over and over and over and over.  I've only seen 3 low rates with a cap of over 100 :/

Pandora

In terms of features

Imbalanced donations
Platinum NPC
Servers that don't offer same sex wedding
PK (absolutely hate it)

Well, I would never join a server that doesn't at least have a real domain name. It kinda shows that the server isn't really that professional and will probably not live very long.

whats wrong with free sites, and free file sharing? (o_O)

*gulp* Mine uses it because it helps keep the affordability.

And it has been open for over a year. I don't plan on shutting it down.

Just to continue customing.

And i don't like servers that have unbalanced items... but i do like ones that give level 500s (or people of max level) a challenge.
Come and play RuthlessRO! Its my new server! And i am trying to make it fun! To find my server just click the link under the image below!

People.
Plain and simple.
Intolerable people = Intolerable server
Really, in my opinion, servers are similar enough to be able to hop from one place to another and still have approximately the same gaming experience.
But the people are usually the one thing that drives me away.

The server ho-bag.
The server corrupt moderator.
The server sexist moderator.
The server sadistic nut.
The server sadist.
The server "Huggle me Elmo"

When a server has all of that, it's time for me to move on.
... Even when it doesn't have all of that, that usually means that it's empty.
And playing by (with) myself isn't as enjoyable as it used to be.

Thorfinn

Any feature that isn't on the official servers.

ChemicalW

Obnoxiously large wings that take up a lot of space. I hate those.

Well, free file hosting isn't that bad, but I personally just have more faith in a server that have a normal domain name. Too often RO servers are opened by some script kiddie on some freewebs host, and too often they close within a month (or two). Having a domain name shows to me that the server owner at least spends time (and a little money) in making a decent website and forum (instead of a freewebs website and invisionfree forum that takes 10 minutes to set up) and gives me more insurance that it will actually last longer.
Again, I bet there are exceptions to this, but I personally just have less faith in such servers.

Pandora

Agreed, a domain name looks much more professional.

Ayuneko

first of all the server must be finished (working npcs etc) before opening, which means no <I'll do it later / someday / never?>

I hate wings at all, same with most of the custom items.

lvl cap 99/50 and 99/70 is a must
no stupid commands like @storage or @go

server free from donation rewards would be perfect but if they really have to exist - acceptable for me are only statless hats, nothing else ::)

DJ Kat

Oh damn, where to start? I hate high rates, and am pretty iffy on low rates... so that said:

Custom items
-Unbalanced, most look completely stupid, and just plain suck. I'm all for getting other times and headgears through long, extensive, hard, or cumbersome quest, but just handing them out... hell no. Make that **** difficult to get!

Censorship
-In any form, I just hate it. I mean, the damned game is rated Teen for a reason. Do bouncing breast and bare-donkey wemon mean anything as opposed to a few "offensive" words? Pfft, moralist...

Unreasonable unallowed modifications
-Someone mentioned the extended zoom earlier... I just find that ridiculous..

-No @disguise, no @searchshop

Some sense of balance
-I HATE people who go out of their way to try and make the game balanced in leu of Gravity. It's just foolish. Now, when we talk about things like AFK training coupled with @autoloot, mobbing entire maps, or multi-clienting I'm iffy. I hate it, yet at the same time, and kinda dependant  on it... well .. for multi-clienting. I imagine that a server would be pretty balanced without a slave around.. still there are other ways around it....

...Just not being up-to-date ...

But most of all, if it HAS to live on donations, the mods don't know anything about scripting and can't devote their time to the sever, and have a staff with the same issue.

..I couldn't think of everything.. it's just a rushed list, but whatever..

- Wings
There's a few wings that look alright, but the majority of them look ridiculous.  Also fairly often, a server with wings often comes with unbalanced donation items. (see below)

- Max level beyond 99/70
The game is currently designed for a max level of 99/70. (aside the new kRO updates)  It just doesn't feel right when it's beyond that limit.  Having said that though, I would still consider playing a server with a max level above 99 if the rest of the features were extremely good.

- Unbalanced donations
Pretty self-explanatory, any server that's ruled by donors isn't fun.

- MvP Arena
This makes it too easy to obtain powerful MvP cards.

- Buffer NPC
Being a fan of the Priest class, I kinda feel like this NPC makes our role slightly less useful.  Sure, it prevents random people begging for buffs in towns (which is good to some), but some of us enjoy buffing random people! D:

- High Rates
I may consider logging onto one if I'm seriously dying of boredom, but otherwise I stay far away from these.

- Acid & Fire Bottle/EDP Vendors
Any server with an NPC like this is guaranteed to be dominated by SinX's/Creators.

- No Paid Host (both website + server)
A dedicated host for the server, and a paid domain for the website show that the Admin team have put in quite a bit of effort into creating the server, meaning they aren't likely to close it down a month or two later.  It also just looks more professional & gives the server a higher potential to grow.  A server without either of these is most likely not going to last long, nor will it attract as many players.

- Immature GMs
I don't mind GMs who wish to have fun now & again.  However, GMs broadcasting stories about baphomet having sex with a poring is where I draw the line. (yes, this actually happened in a server I played once)  Also on the subject of GMs, I feel uncomfortable on any server where the GMs play legit characters & take part in WoE/PvP.

the only one I don't like:

unbalanced donation XD

I can understand if server needs donations to keep them online, but what's the purpose of giving the donators items that will make server unbalance? isn't that just mean donations is other name from selling item? @_@

agreed i hate overpowered donates they make the server a lot less fun =/
