There is a new HR server called heRO (http://www.ratemyserver.net/forum/high-rate/hero-hyper-extreme-ragnarok-online/0/)
I just want to say that this site is in no way, shape or form associated to my low rate heRO (http://www.ratemyserver.net/forum/low-rates/hero-553/0/)
It's just a server that took the same name we were already using. Pity they didn't check first if someone was already using that name.
Their site is not very welcoming :(
"Guests are prohibited from viewing this page. Please, authorize yourself."
Their website just gives me a "about:%" then the tab closes o_O
Anyway, theres a lot of servers with the same name, as long as you distinguish yourself from the others it shouldn't become a problem.
Yeah I don't anticipate much problem, but just in case anyone was confused XD
i think they are actually [H]yper [E]xtreme RO or something like that.
I know there's no relation and there's equal chance that both is going to be successful. Don't worry about it.
Yeah, they're Hyper Extreme Ragnarok Online. =x
xD i figured this might happen when i saw their advertisement post =o
a lot of servers seem to end up sharing names for some reason...
As long as the gms from your server DO NOT go around breaking rules by giving the other server bad ratings and reviews you should be fine.
When my server was originally GothicRO the female gm from the ~GothicRO~ server gave my server a bad rating. Then i posted in this forum here when the female gm from ~GothicRO~ gave my server a bad rating.
I really thought there wasnt a gothicro server when i built mine because i google searched the name and didnt find any server details for it.
So i renamed my server to RuthlessRO shortly after. But that didnt change what ~GothicRO~ did. Shame Shame
Back in Early october when we started setting up for Eden, we did google searches, RMS searches, AND went to the topsites, settled on the name Eden when no other servers seemed to be using it. I know there's one other now(Mid/high rate) that popped up while we were building up the server... which obviously had less thought/effort really put into it... but sometimes nothing you can do about that kinda thing. Got too much invested in the name that's inside the server, artwork, etc to change it easy. It's just a name in the longrun. Yours has the better logo, anyways, Pandora, plus it's been around much longer, and will most likely be around even when this new one is gone.
Well, having a shared name might also boost the hits they get from a misclick or failed search.
