Rebirth RO: Were you trying to be obvious or desperate?

So I haven't been on RMS lately, and I go on the website blah blah blah. I then notice right at the bottom right corner on the main website the "Latest Reviews" section. And then I notice that Rebirth RO has 4/5 review spots occupied. That alone is pretty fishy to me, so I decide to investigate a bit further. And look what I find:





A lot of reviews dated for the 27th or today (if you are on the west coast). However it does not END there, it goes on for three pages! Yes a whopping 21 reviews in one day, and that's not counting the 8 on top done in the past 48 hours. I know this server "clearly has 1000+ online", but lets be real here no server will get that many reviews in a day or even days. This probably was the work of staff or players to achieve (Attention?  A bad reputation? A duck?) some sort of potential to increase the player base that failed horribly. So just thought I'd point out the obvious, however it doesn't end there. Me being the curious boiiii I am decide to search their forums as well and then I by accident came across this:



Now there isn't a problem with this, not really at all. Except I had this weird feeling, like I've seen this before. But where? OH RIGHT it kinda looks like this:



Sigh, really if you are going to USE something as a reference at least change it up a bit more so than inserting text relevant to your server and so on into interchangeable blanks... Pretty pathetic when the administration of a server needs to copy other "smaller" server's posts and are too incompetent to be able to do it themselves. But meh who really cares waste of my time doing this.

21 reviews in a day could be normally legit with that many players, but who knows in this case. Quite sad that the post was copied in it's entirely though. I just don't see how they could of possibly been that lazy to make their own...

Though if yes it's a pinoy populated server, I'm pretty sure there's actually a big chance they're actually going to give items for people who write review. The last sentence might be lying. Because we all know pinoys actually won't bother coming here unless they got paid somehow.

First, if your server actually got 1K players active, I don't think you need to be this desperate because for a private server, you're successful enough. You don't have to be this desperate because I'm pretty sure a server with 1K active players will be placed on top 10 server list

Second, the review all came on the same date. It's a short burst of review, which looks like it's hurried rather than letting people review whenever they feel like writing. Do you think it's normal? Like, oh today is Server Appreciation Day so we will thank the server by writing a review on RMS, ONLY TODAY (pfft I kid).

I think that I don't need to say that I play at one of RebirthRO's server since some people already said this here, at RMS forum, but anyway, here it's it again.

Most of the ro players know how Syphon is or have heard about him. He is not the best admin[and you can search here for some topics related to that or judge yourself by the first post of this topic] but playing fair on that side[the giving items for reviews] is one thing that he actually does.

The only time that I've seen free items from reviews was never, not even exp boosts or events related to that. There is the usual "Please help us grow, review us at RMS" in game and in forum but that's all.

And yes, Kensei, there are a ton of Filipinos playing there but nowadays is hard to find any international server without them.

I think it's exactly as yC said. They copied the post not because they are too lazy but rather because yC said a post like this is fine and they didn't want to risk getting delisted.

Any games will always have them around. Problem is when they became the majority, you know it's not going to be good.

To be honest, It's getting ridiculous how one big server had to copy and paste someone's post which I'm sure he knows that I'm still active. (Yes, I'm the poster of the original text.) I mean come on. Can't they sit there for 5 minutes and make a better one? I'm sure if they do, it will be a better "Hey, review for us please!" thread.
I just hope that whoever that poster is from RebirthRO remove the post or edit it out with their own words. (Unless they ask me if they can use it, but of course that would be a problem since they never ask me Lol)

Of course it's not wrong to encourage players to write reviews, the only reason Daletos found out is probably because those fishy reviews. (34 reviews within 24 hours since they posted it? I find it rather hard to get 20 players reviewing the server)

So its alright for them to copy and paste someone's work because their post is "fine" or rather is not violating the ToS? How can you not be LAZY if you copied someone's post? Can't tell if you are trolling or retarded. I mean I get it its not a topic crying about corruption as all of you seem to prefer, but that does not justify it as a pointless drama. What they did was wrong and pathetic. Regardless if you copied a post or a server's files, the principles are the same. Pretty disappointed with how many of you are defending them and not taking appropriate action. How long have we all been here? 21 reviews in a day? Please you all have common sense, just make sure to use it sometimes. If something isn't done about this, then really RMS has a hit an all time new low (its hard to believe that's possible since its just a forum for e-drama and entertainment now).
