ok first off let me tell you the funny part about me. first off ive been playing RO for like what i think 5 years and i have like every character and know a lot about RO but the only character i have never made is a soul linker its pretty weird. so any ways my question is whats the best build for a lvl999 job lvl 150 server? and this might help idk 200agi gets you maxed aspd and 300dex gets you instant cast. please reply back.

Soul Linkers CANNOT PvP. That's the first thing you need to know. If you try to use a skill on a player, it fails and you get stunned.
You can only do reasonable PvM with one.
Stack Int and Dex. Soul Linkers have a fast-cast skill with changable element that makes Bolt skills look weak. Abuse it like Hell and grind monsters to zero in a flash. Have fun.
Sadly, there are plenty of servers that alter the game's mechanics to allow them to PVP. =P They're godly in PVP if they're allowed to use their skills without any hindrances, and it's honestly moronic to set it up like that, unless you hack of a hell of a lot of the power they have in PVP.

Err, Soul Linkers are actually better than most classes in PvP cause of the ka buffs. Get a house auger, 180 ASPD and good cast time then you can easily have a PvPer and PvMer with good mobility and range of attacks (elemental house auger is deadly).

The Ka-Buffs only give a lot of survivability. But they simply don't last even with a... what's a House Auger? The database doesn't know it. Do you mean a Dagger of Counter or an Ice Pick? I know that they can pull off decent damage with those, but just not sufficient compared to other classes.
Kill them, incapicitate (Stun/Freeze/Petrify) them, then quickly finish them before re-cast.
I've played Soul Linkers often, they're one of my favorites and I do bring them to PvP and WoE, but with status cards to help Guild Members rather than kill simply because I can't do damage that cannot be outhealed with items. No damage boosting skills, let alone offensive skills. Just a very high durability unless you face someone with more than a handfull of braincells.
Just think about it. An Assasin with an Ice Pick and a Mes gets 3 +% damage cards, Double Attack and EDP. That's way more than you, and they can buy Converters these days.
A Lord Knight has several hard-hitting skills OR can go for max ASPD with 1 Agi and have ridiculous HP and not feel the disadvantage of maxed Vit unless faced with AD (though he'll likely survive the initial hit).
Whitesmiths get Adrenaline Rush, Max Overtrust and Meltdown to tear HP and armor alike, or crack your skull with CT. With a Link they too can use Ice Picks and still use Rush...
A Soul Linker is nothing in PvP. Just an annoying thing that won't die as easy as other things.
House Augur = Ice Pick.
SL do immense damage to players with Esma, hence why it's dumb to let them have it in PvP
