Sniper= Kill him before he attacks you
Stalker=Strip
Champ=Agi Down
SinX=Hit and run

Oh, and Stalker,Sniper and AssasinX have alot of flee for avoiding CT

The main weakness of a WS is their lack of ranged attacks. They have to get close to you to hit you, meaning if you can keep them away from you you'll win eventually.

Sniper works nicely for this, you have high ASPD so you can flinchlock them and use charge arrow to push them away if they get too close to you. When you see them getting closer charge arrow them and move around a bit, keep your distance.

Another class which could help you is Scholar. Fiber lock nails them to the spot making it impossible for them to move, during this time you have a chance to hammer them down with spells. Volcano+2x Imp clips+Fiber lock+Fire bolt, deals a good amount of damage. Once again keep your distance, use your webs to your advantage to nail the WS on the spot during which you have time to retreat, heal yourself (heal clip) set up defenses (SW, Fog, etc) or hammer down spells. If he does get close try to SW yourself as soon as possible to avoid damage, then web them and cast few safety walls behind you so you can retreat.

To counter stun your best option would probabaly be to pump VIT for stun resistance, staatic golem card grants some extra resistance as well as Valk armor for certain jobs.

But the main thing you have to remember while dueling a WS is to keep your distance. They have no access to effective ranged attacks so they're forced to get close to you to kill you. Move around, pushback skills, status effects, anything to slow them down will help you as long as you have some effective ranged attacks.

Lack of ranged attacks? Tomahawk Throwing at high AGI can answer that (If they have a tomahawk of course, but you should try Aozora's strat about flinchlock, and IIRC gemini card also gave some stun resist, and the dark basilium?

I'm pretty sure there was similar topic around.

But anyway, there are ways. Range works best. In case of WoE when there are heavily potting WS around, good Gypsy is the way to go. Slow Grace makes them sloooow, and Tarot gives finger to all those potters by Coma.
In non potting PvP: Knights got Spear Boomerang. Pallies depending on build have Pressure to burn his sp, Shield Chain to beat him at range or reflect and heal. Wizards have quagmire and should spam lvl1 SG on him. Champs can snap and TSS him. SinX got Grimtooth. Creo-you got your bombs, right? I think that covers all trans classes. WS vs. WS is kinda...weird, unless one got tomahawk and the other does not.

Sniper = Range, knockback, Ankle Snare.  If you get hit with CT you are pretty much dead though so try and get some stun resist. I.E:  Gemini Card and other such items that add stun resistance.  Orc Hero card would be great.  Another thing to try is Thanatos Maero Card.

Champion: Snap+TSS+Agi Down, repeat ad nausuem.  If they get Ranged Resistance, risk getting up close to asura or even might wanna try Occult but it's pretty risky considering CT and stun percentage and how low Champs vit usually is if he is CT or asura build.

Stalker: Strip. If they FCP, hide and copy throw zeny if you can.  Run around and spam it when you have the chance, you might wear him out eventually.  Double strafe is cheaper but doesn't have the misc damage.  Might wanna try copying soul burn. I know that when I have no SP on my Ws that I'm essentially useless aside from Meltdown breaking if the buff is still in place after all my sp is gone.

Sinx: Hit and run tactics. EDP+Link+SB kills anything one hit anyway if they aren't packing major resistances to the element you decide to use or are using massive hp gears.

Well, for sniper stun resist is useless, as with his hitpoints he's dead within second even without stun. He gets to melee=you're dead. Shockvawe traps are good to burn his SP.

Having played a WS in my last server, I can say hands down that the most annoying skill for a WS to be hit with is Dispel.  Smiths rely on all of their buffs to do decent damage, along with cart boost to actually cast CT, so a simple dispel will force them to stop for a few seconds to rebuff themselves.  Plus you'd have fiber lock, stone curse, safety wall aswell to help you win.  So if you truly wanted to beat that WS hard, I'd consider making a prof.

Otherwise with your current classes, as said already in the above posts;

Sniper - Kite them, use ankle snare to lock the WS in place.  If they get in your face, charge/repel arrow them.  If you let them get too close to you though, it's pretty much game over. (unless you have high vit/orc hero)  If you want to be really annoying, use shockwave traps.

Stalker - If you're a bow stalker, you could copy arrow repel, and use the above strategy whilst throwing in the occasional DS.  Otherwise, you're gonna have to get in their face to strip them, which means you'll need high vit/orc hero to prevent yourself dying to stun.  Once they're stripped, you've pretty much won the fight.

Champ - Agi down.  Aside dispel, agi down is one of the most irritating spells to be hit with as a WS, since CT requires decent aspd to spam/kill fast with it.  After you agi down them, simply kite the smith using snap & TSS.  You could possibly pull off an asura too if you have high dex. (don't bother if your dex isn't high, they'll stun you before you finish casting)

SinX - Cloak, EDP, SB.  If you fail to 1 hit KO them, you may end up being stunned before you're able to pull off another SB, unless of course you have high vit.  As someone said already, getting a link will help you a lot here.

Good luck.

Effective ranged attacks, tomahawk is a wind property two handed axe. Which is not the best choice around. Wind armor/dokebi coupled with dustiness takes the damage down considerably, while the WS will be lacking a thara which means more damage to him. Yes they gain a ranged attack, but this ranged atatck can easily be reduced and in turn the WS becomes more vulnerable.

horo

As mentioned, it depends entirely on the WS not reaching you. If they have great damage output, they'll also likely have mediocre vit/use 2h axes like Hurricane's Fury, so for Bow Stalker/Sniper/Sinx, equip Curse Arrow and snipe/grimtooth them to slow them down. Any decent WS fighting a Sinx will def up spamming MB/waiting for you to SB them as that's the staple strategy of Sinx noobs everywhere, and then easily CT you down during SB delay unless you've great vit/equip~ should they seriously start using Tomahawk, you deserve to go down if you can't outdamage that :<

For any ranged class, WS is probably the easiest matchup in the game.

Luxajin

Nice tips! thanks alot.

New Update seems that one of the WS in my server got damn lucky and now has a sinx card. not only that he also has a maya p. so how can i defend against a WS i cant see but can see me.

PS: This WS i think uses speed hack

horo

If he suddenly got 2 of the best and rarest cards in the game on a midrate server, I'd question other things than how to beat him... anyway that effectively turns him into a Sinx. Your best bet is to get Box of Sunlight with Li me mang ryang card and use that to detect him effectively and kill him from a range. Maybe he uses Box of Thunder to speed up.

SinX Card is rare as heck, but still possible to get, and Maya Purple is nothing rare on mid-rates (Card drop are easy as heck in midrates)

Lots of midrates lower drop rates for miniboss/MvP cards. This might be the case.
