I enjoy seeing it because you'd know that there are people playing/farming at the server.

It a feature that not everyone really want.  /ok
From my experience playing mid rates and low rates, if a rare item drops and it is useful in competitive scenarios, they won't announce it. If its whatever, there will always be a message of thankfulness over main.

I treat that as one of the feature that keep fairness in check in the early days.  So everybody have a way to know what were dropped ... what existed but never got a drop announcement could raise questions.

I think you could have it show up in one of the chat tab if having a world wide announcement becomes annoying and have the player name partially censored for privacy.

Quote from: Playtester on Yesterday at 11:41 AMCould probably code it so that each player can decide themselves if they want it announced or not. Though it might just end up with everyone disabling it.

Then again, a feature nobody wants isn't really a feature.

Hey Justin, I've pretty much kept in touch with you via social media and surprisingly on how long ago these servers of yours were made, I miss all of them. My most favorite is CasualRO. It was my grounds for renewal learning and the main cause why I loved renewal servers more than pre-re.

Your servers were my utmost favorite, can't find one that I can call home like how I stayed at your servers. I started at your servers when I was very young, 13? And now I'm now nearly on my 30s!

I made a lot of friends on your servers from 10++ years ago and yet we had kept in touch.

I love seeing your posts about your music journey! You're an amazing person.

PS: my early game IGNs are Domokun, SnowFlakes, Kitsune

General Discussion / Rare Drop Announcement

Hello RMS Community,

Some of the servers out there have or enable rare drop announcements that actually have pros and cons.

The good thing is that the server is not quite like a ghost server. Nobody knows if the player is there or not.
The bad thing is that there is no privacy for the player, who doesn't want anybody to know what he or she got and what they did.

How about you? Did you think this was good to enable or supposedly disable?

Played quite a bit on both SeRO and Elysium in my younger days. Your servers remain the best I've ever played on when it comes to RO, this post brings on so much nostalgia. Hope you and everyone else I played with during that time are doing well!

Wanted to add this: https://776.netgamers.jp/ro/data/job/Skillpatch05021501.html

This has all the old skill changes documented. Might be useful when wanting to set up a classic server.

Muhro is basically like Nova, just without MH.
