Server Seeking / Re: LF Mid/High server
Last post by Mammouth - Today at 01:54 AMHello, what do you mean by old-school? No warper/no job changer? You'll have a hard time finding a Mid/low without all these features, but it must surely exist given the number of servers out there. If your goal is to quickly get a dose of RO without having to grind like crazy, I invite you to come and test Dayone. It's currently in development (so you'll find few players), but the rates are currently high (75/75/25) (minimum drop rate 2.5% for cards/equipment).
If you feel like giving your opinion/feedback on a project in progress, you're welcome to do so
. (There are no significant skill modifications, 95% is vanilla.) However, Dayone offers the option to be accompanied by a robot (AI) of your choice to escort you on your adventure (optional). Concrete example: you main Support, but you want to kill MVPs, you can play Priest and heal your Knight robot who will go bowling bash the MVP.

Last post by Esperite - Yesterday at 04:43 PMI recently got an ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024) with Intel Core Ultra 9, 3x screen resolution. Without this tool, RO is extremely laggy for some reason, so it's nice this file makes it playable. However, it seems the client crashes every time when attempting to change maps (tested on 2 existing servers). It also sometimes crashes when trying to load a map after selecting a character in the char select screen. It doesn't crash on a certain test server I've set up in the past though, so it might have something to do with the specific client version.
One thing I noticed with the test server (working) client is every time I click, there's a slight lag. In all 3 clients (working and non-working), whenever I change map, @refresh or use a fly wing/teleport, the fade out is much faster than usual. Not sure if that relates to the crash.

Last post by jacobo_bobo - May 08, 2024, 09:59 PMIf you are still looking for a 3rd job renewal server, I'd highly recommend BraveRO. It has very well balanced 3rd jobs, no plans of adding 4th jobs. The battlegrounds has trans only days and 3rd job only days, and battleground runs every day with teams of 15vs15 up to 30vs30 during peak hours.. War of emperium has solid competition as well..
Honestly, I don't think any other server (private or official) comes close when it comes to PvP activity.. just take a quick look at the bottom of the site, you will see the PvP ranking for the last 30 days.. and everyone there has thousands of kills.. it's really great.
They have a full starter equipment/weapon that lasts for 30 days and it's as good as the end-game equips.. so you can get started and go straight to Battlegrounds without having to farm anything.
Other than PvP/BG/WOE, the server has great features such as their Hero Quest which is a great expansive character based quest with level-able weapons/equipment/skills.. It has instances, team based events, and other features like fishing/forging/mining, a solid market where every item is being sold.. etc etc
It's really really good, the only bad thing is that it has so much content that you can feel lost at first.. luckily their wiki and discord are very active with friendly and helpful people.
Check it out, you won't regret the decision.

I am one of the founders of the server. I don't do development work, but I actively contribute to the server's design. I play a lot on the server to get a player's perspective (one of the few ways I can contribute, and here is my feedback

- A competent GM without a doubt. Every bug report or quality-of-life improvement is fixed/made within 24 hours.
- A unique system with robots to assist you in your leveling or party creation phase (no more 'Seek last: dancer or prof / bard / Priest for go thor / abbey 3 etc..').
- A clever mix between low rate and mid rate (avoids mindless grinding - drop in stacks/steal in stacks), no deslot, robots help you to drop items (no autoloot), free reset stats/skills, and so many other features
- Server with whitelist access and mono-account (numerous NPCs to simulate dual accounting + robots).
- No Gepard protection, which in my opinion is useless, except for installing a Trojan on players' PCs and slowing down game loading (my mouse software has never been detected by Gepard, lul).
- Unique events: no more 'search the poring', 'find the mushroom', or other events we've known for over 10 years now.
- No cash shop/VIP and no stupid items like Token of Silfried, Kafra card, enriched ori/elu, bubble, book xp, etc...
- A donation system (no advantages, not even a jellopy) to finance new features for the server (e.g., client modifications, purchasing an RCX (equivalent to @lgp), purchasing a costume pack from a spirit creator, etc...).
- 2000+ costumes obtainable with zeny from an NPC.
- GMs who know the endgame of RO in every detail, they're not clueless when we talk about intricate things/mechanisms often poorly understood by players.
- No skill modifications, vanilla gameplay, except for quality of life improvements (for example: Preserve from Stalker isn't disabled after logout).
- Elo-based ranking system for 1v1 champion matches (130 dex only acc) or 1v1 matches with robots.
- ranking, instance speedruns (an example: start Abyss Lake 1 and run to kill Detale as fast as possible, with maximum party limitations / no flywing, no speed potion)."
- More than 300 Discord accounts following, even though the server is still in alpha
- I'll stop here because there's so much to say, considering it's only in alpha. I strongly invite you to download it and see the potential for yourself.

Party EXP bonus bugged since beta and releases still broken giving an obscene amount more exp than expected.
They advertise 5x quest exp but quests are providing 50x (Lost child providing 4.5mil instead of 450k)
I'm excited to see what other server-settings people find out were setup wrong as the server's life continues.

Last post by ForgotMyOldAccount - May 06, 2024, 07:53 AMIt's completely unfounded and pure slander that this server has some kind of backdoor RMTing GMs. You post no proof of your claims and just continue to slander without proving anything. The GMs just banned a whole guild for RMT last week.

@Yc I encourage you to stop allowing such slander on your website. People who make claims of GM corruption should be required to post proof or else you're just allowing these people to bully server owners.
