Violation of Copyright

Hello I am the admin of Wolfro.This server has been open since September last year.
Just a few days ago someone copied the name. I would like you maybe to delete there
server from the listing or something like that.I have asked nicely for them to change name.

There server my be better then ours but they have no right to steal our name and grabbing our members.

Do you really copyrighted your name?  If so you might want to take legal action against them.  That's not something I can help with.

There are thousands of server out there, I don't want to sound mean but it's okay in my eyes that two or more servers run into the same name.  It's not up to me to do anything about servers having the same names.  Why can't they have the same name as any server.  <insert word here>RO is just a word followed by RO in most cases, nothing special from my point of view.

Just like, human, the Captain of Titanic is named Edward John Smith, what a common name.  I am sure there are other John Smith, Edward Smith, or Edward John Smith that's not him.  It's nothing wrong to have the same name.

Unless you went through court proceedings or whatever, It's only copyright infrigment if you actually copyrighted it ._.

Meaning, it's only copyrighted if you've payed money to your city to copyright it.

Although nothing can be done, i know how it feels to have someone else copy the name of your server. Why do we want to have our own names? it because all the hard work we put into it, is branded under the server name. the Server name is like a brand, a vault in which all the effort we put in are stored. Imagine someone coming up with a company name like Apple or Microsoft, do you think it's fair? Copy right infringement is one thing, but the main focus is whether copying/having-the-same name of another server is actually justifiable.

Just to settle this, Jenny did get a reply, she was flat out rejected. She never purchased a copyright, the original WolfRO owner Kevin(Not the same Kevin from Jenny's Server) had a Copyright I believe, but he could care less, as his server shut down. Three members of the original "WolfRO" which Jenny tried to pose as, through listing her "GM Team" as the same one from the official WolfRO play the WolfRO whom shes trying to slander. There is absolutely no basis to her claims, especially after she tried to "compromise" with WolfRO.org by combining player DBs and joining WolfRO.org's team. Her offer was rejected, and going by the date of her post, she posted this right after she was rejected.

Jenny, grow up, your making your self look bad. WolfRO.org hasn't done anything to Wolfro.tk, the name is fair game, more so since Tyrien, Middy, and myself are at WolfRO.org.

In fact, if you would like to get really technical, I can provide WolfRO.org with an exact copy from the original Wolf, then it wouldn't be a copy, it would be the real thing. Although they already have everything setup in a near exact replica. Your really wasting your time.
