I noticed that many Event MVPs are Ghost property (at least those with yummy experience), thus rendering Creators and Champions not very useful. These Event MVPs also have a tendency to have high VIT, DEF and MDEF.

The situation calls for a class which can produce consistant high damage in a very short period of time (It's free-for-all, and you will be fighting with/against many other players). It doesn't matter if you die (most Events are held on maps with no penalty upon death, but dying too often will severely reduce your chance of getting a share of the experience or the MVP Bonus if available.

Example: Doppelganger

Additional info:
No Thanatos cards available on server.
Ice Picks and slotted Ice Picks are available.

Sarin

Sniper, immaterial arrows with full DS spam build can produce incredible DPS. Also, Bragi'd SD sin with immaterial sword can get dps aroud 15-20k on ghost mobs. Wizards are in this case good for mob controlling.

Poki

Snipers would be my choice for Event MVPs since they have a wide variety of arrows that'll help.
High Wizard comes next, then Creators, then Champions, then Paladins, then Assassin Cross.

The Event MVP Doppelganger above have 99 Hard DEF. Should that be of any concern?

I made a rough calculation based on Horong (a Fire monster with 99 Hard DEF). A lvl 99/70 Sniper (165DEX) with +10 Comp Bow [Quad Elemental] and Crystal Arrows (200%); will only do an average damage of 144 using Double Strafe lvl10. An Event MVP like Doppelganger which has 12m HP, will take more than 80,000 Double Strafe to kill. (It's just a very rough estimate; the Extra damage from Immaterial Arrows against Ghost is only 150%, a +10 Comp Bow [Quad AK] will boost damage; but nonetheless, it will still take alot alot of immaterial arrows - which are either expensive/a hassle to make/find)

Luckily not every Event MVP have 99DEF. Most averages about 60 Hard DEF.

Sarin

well, 99 def is more like disadvantage. Bragi'd SinX with Immaterial sword+icepick would rape it so fast.

fluidin

Agreed. BTW, the above rapes Beelzebub fast too.

XileRo is the only HR I know that has a reasonable PvP system. I did watch the RWC like you said, all I see is people spamming the room like every other gang fight there is in RO.

Depends on the situation of how the event MVP comes out too. Breaker is great to mvp with but need quite a ready party support with a decent plan at least on who's tanking/distracting the mvp while your clown/yourself are attacking it. Sniper is more generic that should it be just randomly suddenly appear in a town, you only have to rely on yourself to get the job done. The long range helps as well too. Better the dude in front of you die instead of you.

Not to mention, it's just easier with elemental arrows to not handle just the gravity event mvps, but to handle custom mvps too. Sniper's just in general a powerful PvM class with flexibility and not as costly to make to be efficient as well.

Surprised nobody has listed off a WS yet. o.o

ps : That is one easy event mob.  No skills whatsoever?  Just SW a WS until he downs it.  Easier than Beelz. :P

I think TS meant MVPs like that, in general, but not just limited to that Doppel.

Doppel was just an example. Not what s/he is going after. If you look above the screenshot you'd see "Example".

Besides Snipers, Star Gladiators and Soul Linkers are viable as well thanks to Mild Wind. Though on the listed example it'll be tricky due to the retarded amount of Def/MDef. SGs could use Union, but SLs would need a Vesper card...

By the way, Spiral Pierce with an endowed weapon works wonders on the exampled monster.
