Aragorn watch it, i've already had you on mod and mute many times, yc's even warned you a few times i think

besides what he said fits perfectly in this topic, ppl like diff things, he likes low rates just as some others like high rates

Darken

Mainly because they want to be a cool looking trans character instead of a second class grinding. I know many high rate players who, when I ask them to come to a low rate, they'll just reply "but it's tooo haarddddd". These are the kind of people who dislike challenge, even if you make it so that it takes awhile to get to max lvl, being able to kill some high lvl monster in less then a milo second, is just lazy.

There's a reason why you get a pretty glow effect at 99, and it's not so that everyone can have it in less than a few seconds. Low rates are simply better, because it consists of more patient people willing to socialize and team up.

aim_o4

Its because most players are to lazy leveling slow and like some cool items with some different effects which some random server(s) have them. xD

^ Yeah and its more fun to build it and dressing it. And I really like PvP'ing at High Rates. :/

Well...some people, like me are sometimes busy. We don't usually have time to play and would rather socialize with friends while playing RO. So high-rate is the priority of most busy players who would love to WoE but doesn't want to grind much. In turn, we end up liking high-rates. Maybe some are willing to play low-rate again once they're not busy. There's also the lazy people.

tl;dr version: High-Rate consists of lazy and busy people.

That's right, no idiot would have twenty four hours free time but we're not idiots, are we now? If you don't have any work, chores, school, study then I would say, 24 hour free time.

aragorn LAST warning, and i don't care if you were serious or not

~~T~~

I used to play High Rates because it was more relaxing than LR, there I could actually have fun. Seeing as it takes a lot of time to "archieve" Lv 99 or Overequips, and most servers will just die/corrupt/get old as you play, you lose everything you've done. Sure, there is a phrase that says "What you built in years can be destroying in one second, but do not stop building", but I'm already tired of seeing not only my patience but my free time that I wasted resulting on finding myself frustated infront of my computer reading "Server dead" or something like that.

Poki

I use to have 24 hours of free time... As a baby.

Anyways, high rates are fun to test my builds with.

Every saturday, I can play 24 hours If I want. <_< Thats not being idiotic, right? >_<

Anyway, I agree with ~~T~~. Spending too much time leveling, earning zenies and collecting items on a low rate server causes too much head ache and eye bags. lol So having a high rate server let you enjoy having some easy leveling and collecting some items and zenies. Most specially when a server has a Gold Room but not all servers, right? xD

Wait what strategy? Tbh strategy is non-existent in high rate servers. Thats my view, its just a total DPS race. Out-DPS someone, ygg, then look for your next target and attempt to DPS it down...

Though personally I played on a private server, liked it for a bit, then again I like it when every class is as important as the other. Something where taking a castle relies on teamwork and fairly long battles instead of a crazily buffed up SinX sneaking all the way up to the emp at the last minute and destroying it in a matter of seconds. Know what I mean?

Well, back on point, virtually no grinding unless you count grinding for certain items or quest items, WoE is sometime quite exhilarating and fast paced, damage flying outta someones donkey, gee not sure what else.
