oh i if u mean the weapon/armor upgrade, yes it does depend on luck, by chances etc but some ppl have *skill* playing with their luck
that s not me im sure (need to make +10sloted shield :x :x )
Last I checked your chances of making +10 armor were about 1/3000 ;)

You need "luck" not luk (unless applied like he said).
the default rates for armour upgrades are: (taken from the previous upgrade)
+5 - 60%
+6 - 40%
+7 - 20%
+8 - 20%
+9 - 10%
+10 - 10%
so to work out % u just times them together ie +4 to +6 is 0.6x0.4=0.24=24%
