Title: Stun
Post by: Luxajin on Jun 02, 2009, 10:14 AM
My question is
with 70vit and 2x Stalatic Golem Card(20% resistant to stun) will that make me immune to stun?

You will still stun, the chance is drastically lowered though and the duration is minimal.

The reason is because vit lowers the chance of the status being inflicted and golem uses the script bonus2 bResEff,Eff_Stun,

they're two different things.

even with 99 vit and 90% bResEff,Eff_Stun, in theory, you can still be stunned.

No-  but the chance of being stunned is LOW
I think it's seperate chance, Like 99% stun resist from vit + 80% stun resist from cards will not =100%.

And 2 stala's seems like a waste of a card slot if you ask me :/ I'd recomend a nightmare - Silence resist will be more helpful(1 stala and 70 vit will be enough to not have to worry about stun IMO, BUt I'd recomend more vit anyway)

The statement above is incorrect. On eAthena (default formulae), all you need is 97VIT to achieve 100% stun immunity.

sd = BL_CAST(BL_PC,bl);
  status = status_get_status_data(bl);
  switch (type)
  {
  case SC_STUN:
  case SC_POISON:
  case SC_DPOISON:
  case SC_SILENCE:
  case SC_BLEEDING:
     sc_def = 3 +status->vit;
     break;

**even with 96 vit and 90% bResEff,Eff_Stun, in theory, you can still be stunned.

Oh. I Forgot to ask will x2 stalatic golem stack?

I think so. Theoretically, 5x stalactic golem would give you stun imunity.

It will.

Just look at VA + Stac + Flame Skull, or more recently popular, the Dark Bash + Stac + VA combo.

Also, I heard that while 97 VIT isn't exactly stun immunity on officials, it generally is damn close to it, so much so that it's neglible?

97 to 100 is quite a difference, going to go ask on eathena if noone here knows.

eA does this random changes for random/no reasons,

@-Thor- Possibly, TC's playing a LR, if he was playing a HR then he would just get 255 VIT

with 80-90 vit, 2 stalatic golem cards and a VA. how much resist would that grant me?

Very close to immunity. You can still be stunned though, if I'm not wrong.

You need either 100% resist from equips or 100 VIT (97 for eA) to be granted full stun immunity from what I understand.

90% of the remaining 10-20% would be reduced. Stun resistance from gear however does not affect the duration for which you'll be stunned, which is something to keep in mind.
