how can i get to the ice dungeon/ra_fild01/audumra grass lands area? i've tried walking, until further inspection of the maps showed me that i can't just walk there from alde. lol.

Take a good look. It is possible to walk from Alde there, but it's a long, long way. Probably best way except some warper is to take Izlude-Yuno-Rachel Airship to Rachel, then just go north.
If possible, you can get someone to warp you to rachel city, and walk east-north-north and you're there.
