When i launch the RO.exe...it launches but only with this small window showing up. I can see the mouse moving in that tiny gap window and also background music can be heard. See the below pic..what could be causing this problem? This is a freshly downloaded and patched kRO.

You might want to post on the individual server's forums. Perhaps they have seen this problem before.

Tried to run setup.exe on compatibility mode? It seems that setup is not win 7 friend at 100% and doesn't save the values sometimes.
Tried to use roext and see if changing values in the ini makes any difference?
This problems, that all players are reporting[small window problems], seems to be only win 7 related.
Tried compatibility mode on the exe that is used to play?
Tried to run the exe used to play with admin rights?
Thanks! it was the registry problem. I had to manually add the HEIGHT and WIDTH registry to make it work. I suggest putting a note about this on the kRO download site. Again thanks for the link, Triper.
