Hi everyone,
I was wondering how SS (FAS) works. I tried it on some servers and i was very amazed.
Range is right (9 cells) but damage area is wierd.
On Vision2 it is 18cells from sniper
On Chronos and XuyRo it is 16cells
On RMS test server it is 17cells
On on my home server its 15 cells

RMS Skill DB says that it should be 14cells.
Also there was no reduced dmg (irowiki says that "Monsters in the 13th cell along the line receive a reduced damage.") and also irowiki says that damage area should be 12cells.

So i am very confused what is right.
Could someone explain it? Should be some reduced dmg or wtf? And full dmg area? 12? 14? or what. Or just say how it works on your server. I hope you can help me.

it is a skill that some consider buggy even on officials, not to mention eA ones. so, try it out on your own server, get to know how it works there, then decide for yourself whether its worth using :X

It's always worth using when MVPing IMO.However when PvMing it's usually not worth it unless you have a lot of SP and are being badly mobbed.If you mobtrain it's another story but even then arrow shower may be superior in some situations.Hope that helps

That's not what he's asking.
He's asking how exactly the skill works. The range, AoE damage area and possible reduced AoE dmg.

I believe there was information about how it truly worked on the bug tracker @ eAthena though.

I know it's not exactly what he's asking, but I thought it could help him decide which skill to use given that nobody knows how SS really works anyway. Just wanted to be helpful :)

As you said, the range is of 14 matches RMS test server. And the damage area is pretty weird. That's what happens:
* On a 6x14 mushroom field aiming on the 3x1 mushroom I was able to hit everything besides the 6th layer, making the damage range 5x14.
* However, on the same mushroom field, if I aim on the 3x2 mushroom, things start to get really strange, and I started loosing range of the top and bottom layers.
* Aiming on the 3x3 mushroom gives me a 3x3 initial damage range and another 3x4 (not really sure about it since my mushrooms started to disappear) late damage. On this case, the second damage range should PROBABLY have a damage reduction, but I'm not sure about it.

I need a more reliable testing mechanism, but that's actually all that I got for now. Hope it could be of any help :#
