It really depends what build you prefer. Theres 2 popular variations for both classes. For sinx either SB build which requires high str and decent dex, or Agility build which is self explanatory. Monk is a similar story. TSS build, which is the more popular one requires high str and insta cast. Asura monks require a bit less str and more int. At the end of the day i think your best bet is to try it out for yourself and find a good combination.
