Hi everyone,

I do realize that there are numerous guides on different types of SinX builds, but I am still unable to choose a build =x I play on Hidden-RO, and the server stats are as follows:

Server Type: PK (Player Killing) Enabled
Exp Rate: 3000
Job Rate: 3000
Drop Rate: 300
Card Drop Rate: 10%
MvP Card Drop Rate: 1%
Max Base Level: 350(With quest)
Max Job Level: 130
Max Stat: 255
Instant Cast: 175 Dex

I was just wondering if you all could give me opinions on the best PvP build for a SinX in this environment, and what weapons to use (DD or Katar?), as well as reasons why you chose the build that you did. Thanks in advance for all your help ^^

Most people prefer a Sonic Blow build, but they tend to be called the "Noob Build" often, but pretty much all SinX Builds are called "Noob Build".

What about a non-"noob" build? :o

Technically, there is no such thing as Noob Build, some people just call it like that for some reason

Yeah, SB is the SinX's strongest attacks if used with the right stuff

Although I'm planning to move to iRO after I have a better overall sense of the game lol. Thanks very much for your time and patience, and sorry to keep bothering you with noob questions ;x

It's mainly because most SinXs on HRs really don't pay attention to what they are doing, I mean, they will always either enchant poison or nothing, thus, making the damage ridiculous with SB against a DV/Thara/ED user, another thing is that they tend to sneak up solo on random people, stupid assasin crosses won't even think about getting themselfs buffed unless it is done with EDP, they sometimes also have the tendency of just going outright in PvP without obtaining the Sonic Acceleration quest skills first, they tend to only get it from a Platinum Skill NPC, I suggest this for a SB build:
1) Make sure to keep your STR at multiples of 10, (Bonus and Base)
2) Use a +10 Triple Bloody Boned Various Jur
3) Carry one of each elemental armor (Wind, Fire, Water, Ghost, Poison, Undead and Holy armor)
4) Use Cursed waters or have a friend Sage/Priest enchant your weapon
5) If you have a SL friend, than ask him to Spirit of the Assasin you

Usually, this is what most good SinX users wear and use, you should ask someone who's main character is a SinX

Ah, thanks. How come you suggested a Jur as opposed to other katars with higher attack? :o (Sorry if it's a stupid question lol, I'm not very good at this game atm as I said earlier xD) I'm assuming the Bloody Bones are cards? How would I go about triple slotting a Jur and +10'ing it? And again, why would this be better than triple slotting and +10'ing a katar with higher base attack? Also, what should I do about Dex/Agi/Luck? SB doesn't work with critical I've heard, so Luck wouldn't do anything for me I'm guessing? Lastly, what do cursed waters/enchanting a weapon do? =x Thanks ^^

Not going to bother to correct people in HR threads, but if you want to learn anything about the game and how to play it, this is the worst kind of server for you to play for iRo. Play a 99/70 MR that's as close to official servers as possible, join a good guild and you'll learn.

SolarRO used to be awsome...too bad guild drama killed it off, I suggest any server with many people, LRs are the ones who usually have it, and here are some answers:

"Ah, thanks. How come you suggested a Jur as opposed to other katars with higher attack?  (Sorry if it's a stupid question lol, I'm not very good at this game atm as I said earlier xD) I'm assuming the Bloody Bones are cards? Lastly, what do cursed waters/enchanting a weapon do? =x Thanks ^^" -I see you are new to RO in total, I mean, i said a "Various" Jur, a 4-slotted one, and Bloody is Hydra Card, Boned is Skeleton Worker Card, a weapon with Triple Bloody Bone will give +5 ATK and *1.6*1.15 attack on other Players, in current mechanics, STR affects more than weapon power, a maxed SinX's raw attack is usually 400+, it's better to multiply by 1.84 than add about 150 more attack, so Cards>Raw Weapon Damage, and by enchanting I meant asking a Sage to temporarly enchant the weapon with an element to bypass neutral reduction cards like Raydrik (Reduces 20% of Neutral Damage inflicted)

Yes I am xD I missed the "various" there, sorry ^^ This is probably another stupid question.. but if I have 4 slots, how am I "Triple Bloody Bone"ing it exactly? =x Isn't there also a way to get a blacksmith to enchant the weapon with an element? Or is that a bad idea, since the element I'd need would depend on the situation? I'm still kinda confused about SB, crit, and Luck =x

EDIT: Oh for the Triple Bloody Bone did you mean 3 Hydras and 1 Skeleton Worker..?

Blacksmiths can create elemental weapons that stay with the element permemantly, but the drawback is that they do not have slot so you won't be able to put in the Hydras and Skeleton Worker

You can get them by killing Eremes Guile in Bio Lab 3 (Also known as Somathology Laboratory 3)

A Boned Infiltrator does more damage than a carded Specialty Jur. If you think about it, getting a +10 Specialty Jur kinda has the same chance as getting a +5 or up Infiltrator [1]. Not chance as in refining chances, I mean the time and effort used.

Of course, I haven't tested this in a server that goes over 99 stats.

Sarin

And that is what matters. At max stat 255, your base atk will likely reach in thousands. At that point, that +10% damage will matter alot more than atk difference between those weapons.

Yup, I'm planning to move to a LR server at some point. Which would do better on what server? (ex: Boned Infiltrator for LR, Triple Bloody Boned Specialty for HR?)

horo

definitely boned infil on LR. taking a guess, triple bloody boned might become better at around 170str or so, which is unrealistic without at least one meg.
