LF> Blend of classic + 4th job server

Hello everyone, it's been quite a while. I've been on and off playing RO over the years, but it's been difficult to find a server that fulfills the niche I'm looking for. Hoping someone out there has some suggestions.

Here's what I'd like:

Job quests. This is the main thing. I miss the classic quests to progress jobs Pre-Renewal, but still want to try out the new jobs. Any servers I try that have the new jobs just remove the job quests. Are there any servers that combine features from Pre-Re AND Renewal like this? Or is this not possible?

High rates & a max level no higher than 500. I appreciate grinding a little, but I don't have time to pump hundreds of hours into each character. I also appreciate the freedom high-level characters give, regarding clearing dungeons & making solo play possible in general.

Other stuff I'd appreciate, but am willing to go without:

Quality of life NPCs & commands. Stuff like the stylist, warp & go commands, that sort of thing. Expanded hairstyles & colors would be nice too, but not a deal breaker if we just have the basic stuff.

English speaking. Doesn't need to be the primary language spoken by the player base, but as long as the game is in English, I would appreciate that.

That's pretty much it. I'm really just looking for a nice blend of Pre- and Post-Renewal features, particularly the job quest stuff, and have been struggling to find something the last few years that really fits the bill. If you know of any servers like this, please let me know. I'm very eager to play again & really settle in somewhere.

I have tried looking to just hosting my own server and trying to set it up how I'd like, but I find the process confusing & challenging to get into. If that's my only option, though, I'll buckle down and do it ... but I figured I'd put out a call and see if there's any active servers already out there doing this.

There are a few 4th job servers, but I doubt you can fulfill your conditions, especially considering the 1st and 2nd conditions.

First of all, high-rate server means that the server will have all convenient functions, including instant job change. I doubt any "high-rate" server will adopt a job quest.

Secondary, I doubt GM will know each job quest. I've been on a few servers with job change quests, but GM had problems when the quest had a bug. And what I felt from the 4th job servers was that Rathena had not implemented the 4th job quest yet. So I think "job quest" will be hard condition.

Other than that, I think you can find a good server fulfilling the 2-3-4 condition in RMS.

Alright, so my server is still 3rd jobs only, but we're advancing slowly at my pace.

Job quests: I value the old mechanics so you're able to do the quests if you'd like, or skip the job change quests paying a small fee.

High rates & a max level no higher than 500: My server is Low-to-Mid, but Bubble Gum access is easy, with custom ways too cause I know grinding isn't everyone's thing anymore.

Quality of life NPCs & commands: I am a fashion kind of person, so our stylist has a ton of palletes, we have an astounding amount of costumes in my server, I love variation. We have a custom warper (mine), with most maps being unlockable through quests or just visiting the map. Completing a dungeon quest will unlock that dungeon on the warper, for example; if you do the rachel sanctuary quest, it'll automaticalle get added to your Warper menu, and even better, all dungeon/instance access quests are account shared in my server, so you never have to complete them more than once per account, that's to make the gaming experience better for you.

English speaking: My server is bilingual; Spanish and English. The server will ask you for your preferred language upon login and everything will be in the language of your choosing, with the exception of ppl's messages cause I can't control that lol. All of our convenience stuff is easily accessed through our @settings command.

I've been trying to grow the server for a while, I've been running it for just over a year now but I've been struggling with community growth, most ppl join and leave shortly after without giving it much of a try, partly because of confusion or they just don't like renewal, but I hope you'll give it a try as It's my passion project and I put a lot of time and effort into it, all for my love of RO.

I visited your discord a few times, and what I felt was that it was more biased toward Spanish-speaking people because all people were speaking Spanish and all the menus were in Spanish. (Although there was auto-translation) So I quit quickly without playing the server because of the language barrier, but I'll try it today.

Thanks for visiting. The discord sub-channels are mostly in Spanish cause that's the biggest population in the server at the moment and there isn't much I can do about that, other than advertising the server and hope it keeps growing. It's different in-game since I was able to modify the NPCs and systems to auto-translate based on your language preferences, but I couldn't do that with Discord, other than installing the auto-translator you saw, I wish there was more I could do, but I'm sure you understand that I can't really control the language of the server's biggest population unless I blocked them but my goal of a unified place where RO players can just enjoy the game and my creations is in both Spanish and English since those are the 2 languages I'm fluent in.

I hope that's not too much of an issue for you and that you really try out the server, I'm open to any feedback too, I'd love to find a way to make it easier for English speakers to integrate, specially cause this seems to be a problem with the Discord only and not with the server, which is the main focus <3

Customizations can be difficult depending on how extensive they are, but my server has a lot of what you're looking for, as you've read above.

Like I said, the server is fully bilingual, so you don't need to worry about that. The rates are dynamic and you can select them for each character you make, the drop rates are definitely low rates, but edging on mid rates. I've been slowly increasing them over time, mainly on the exp side since lvling in Renewal isn't what ppl care about most these days... But yeah, your rates depend on your decision, as you can see in our custom mechanics wiki page.

I have put a ton of work into it and I have a lot more stuff I'm working on to make the game better in my image, i'm releasing another update in a few days. 4th jobs are definitely coming in the future, but it'll take time because I'm not comfortable with them yet because I'm taking my time getting familiar with them before I include them in the server. The way I do updates is a little different from kRO, I apply dungeons/maps/instances before I apply items and job updates, that way ppl can try the cool content in their current builds, which can also be a small challenge and is fun.

I hope you enjoy the server, maybe more ppl would like to join lol.

Gotcha! That all sounds good to me. I'll be giving the server a shot today, and hopefully will have some time later this week to really settle in & check stuff out. Thanks again for the rec, I hope you can get more folks to join up!

Edit / addendum -- PowRO seems excellent, but the rates really are just a bit too low for what I'm looking for, even with bubblegum. I'm going to keep searching, but I wish your server the best of luck finding its player base.
