Title says it all, returning player here and looking forward to play any rates but with the exemption of dual client.

Looking for a server that don't have a dual client.
Single-client servers encourage player interaction, discourage soulless min-maxing, and properly allow support characters to find partners and parties.
Dual-client and multi-client servers are a sin against Odin.

If you're not in a hurry to join a server, I suggest waiting until September for the launch of Dayone. It's a single-account server with a unique 'robot' system, a type of tradable homunculus between players.

If you're looking for a server that is already open, there's Uaro, I believe, which is single-account with a large community.

lol. Not one client per player. One client per PC. So essentially that means you can have infinite clients open for infinite virtual machines you're running.
Why even bother pretending there's "no dual clienting" when it's obvious there is without even needing to check in game?

I'm trying Valkyrie Legend, it's fairly new I think they launched a month or so ago and they have no dual client. I'm enjoying that server so far

Facepalm, it's clear that the cheater will always be able to run the second client from the virtual machine. And even change the ip.
That's what cheaters do on your favorite servers, where a second client is not allowed, lol

 /heh There are VPN, Proxy, alt PC/laptop and other option for player to login with multiple client even the server only provide single client.

A person who loves the classic and pre-renewal closed-to-official server experience.

dual clienting has to be enforced actively by staff. otherwise there are ways to circumvent.

Precisely.
Servers such as Valkyrie Legend, which have disabled multi-clienting without adding any rules against multi-clienting, might as well just enable multi-clienting, because without a rule or any staff enforcing single-clienting, there is almost no point in disabling multi clients.

Servers such as Ragnagoats are a blessing because they disable the ability to open multiple clients, AND they have a rule against multi-clienting, AND they have have staff actively watching out for anyone multi-clienting, AND they take reports of any suspicious players potentially multi-clienting seriously so the community can help keep abusers out too. Not to mention they have also disabled the default RO auto-follow "feature" which multi-clienting type players love abusing so much.

The good single-client servers are the ones that actually care about it instead of burying their heads in the sand.

A simple example. The cheater plays in 2 windows, on the second window there is an Acolyte or/and Soullinker in virtual machine with VPN, IP is different. Standing in the town near Kafra.
Then - cast, heal, warp - repeat. Very effective
What can you claim? Players play as they want, they don't have to run after each other. You can't force them to do it. You can't prove anything. Cheater can even organize a Guild and accept all your slaves into it.

While this is technically possible, it's very unlikely to happen on a server like Ragnagoats because:
A) Most people don't bother purchasing multiple VPNs or IP addresses with vitual or multiple machines just to play a game like RO.
B) Most people who are interested in multi-clienting don't decide to play on single-client servers in the first place.
C) It's only a matter of time before a player gets caught multi-clienting because other players and staff of Ragnagoats can see this type of player behavior, and if it's suspicious or resembles multi-clienting enough, there will be a ban after the investigation.

Anyways, I hope OP has a good time where ever he or she decides to play. Ragnagoats is my recommendation, but even servers that put in the bare minimum and simply disable one IP opening multiple clients at the same time are going to be more enjoyable and fair for single-client players than servers which allow unrestricted, multiple clients.
