Title: ShiningMoon RO Warning to all new players thinking of playing on this server.
Post by: kiryutokogami on Jun 02, 2021, 11:45 am
I recently tried this server and honestly, the journey was pretty fun in the beginning. The leveling experience is streamlined and the community overall are nice and helpful whenever you ask informations on the chat. The main problem of this server is the population. I think having 200 only players  is a lie as if you try and see, every map you go to are empty including the leveling maps. I only see around 10-20 people sometimes even less talking in the main chat and on their discord server. Thus every problem i am going to point out in this topic is mainly due to the after effects of having low population and the server owner refuses to listen to the newbie players but instead caters to the AFK most of the time veterans AKA his FRIENDS.

After you journey through the wonderful leveling experience in this server and you hit the start of the end game grind, that's where the game becomes a little bit of impossible for you. You just cant get anything done through grinding anymore since most of the contents are designed for party play. With the lack of people playing on the server, there's only 1 group of people who does this end game content and most of the time, its a full party so if youre new and youre not close with them, you will NEVER be able to experience the end game maps on this server.

With this problem in mind, it reflects on the economy as well since this group of players monopolizes the market and dictate the prices of the items. Since they have it on farm means they dont need zeny and can hold on the items and sell it  for ridiculously high prices. I have donated around 400$ on this server and because of the low population count, it didnt even get me a complete end game ready character because all the items are overpriced and since its only 1 group who farms the end game maps, only they have access to it and doenst have competition when pricing these items extremely high.

Another bad decision on this server is getting rid of the ECA (it's a card album that drops all the MVP cards) so as a new player, you will never have access to this. Almost every veteran players experienced ECA so almost all of them have MVP cards equipped on them and have extras but wont put it up on the market unless you pay for again, absurdly high price (the cheapest useful MVP card could cost you 200-300$ if you try to donate for it).

You want to hunt MVPs to get a chance for MVP card to drop? Again, tough luck for you. Since Lunar is friends with most veterans in the server, he already gave them all the necessary overpowered mvp cards like himmelz, gioia, bio5 mvps cards to make their builds super strong and you will never be able to compete on MVP hunting with these players camping the bosses 24/7. Which again, giving these players the ability to fully monopolize the market.

Why isnt lunar doing anything to combat this problem? Easy, because if the prices of the end game items are abusrdly high, people with high income will donate more in order to afford these items thus making his wallet thicker. So in  a way, he wants these players to monopolize the economy as it benefits him as well.

I know almost every server have this problem, but the thing is, the other servers have more population in them and more population can somehow combat and alleviate these issue of monopolization and can help balance out the economy which right now, shining moon RO doesnt really have because of its 10-20 concurrent players.

So my whole point to this is, if youre a casual player who just likes to explore and hang out, ShiningMoon RO is an outstanding server with good stability and friendly community. But if youre like me, a hardcore player who always strives to have the best of the best, then you will find out that this server is just a waste of time for you. So i am writing this review to prevent you from doing the same mistakes as me, I put so much time and effort in trying to achieve endgame items only to realized at the end that its just a waste of time and money that could probably go to other better private servers who doesnt have this issues and is more populated.

almost seems like a bad idea to give everyone MVPs xD but lunar cares about his players and takes a little longer to realize how bad his decisions are

btw you just bad. gitgud. there is possibility to solo grind there. even without the OP  mvp cards". and the only one that require party play is the custom content which only provides cash shop consumable ( if u are playing in helheim, but for nifheim just git gud people soloing that place in daily basis, even then the equipment isnt that amazing neither ) OR you can just farm tho HTF for zeny and buy stuffs a single run of HTF give u 18m zeny already ( 8minute btw) and Sarah memory give u like 6 (3 minute btw) and the very very very high end stuff except for MVP cards cost ~ 600-700m.

TL;DR: YOU SUCK. GITGUD and STOP BLAMING OTHERS.
P.s: "Hardcore" player eh?

I would highly suggest you check out the server first before spouting non sense or youre probably one of those players who got their mvps during the eca event. Kiel costs 15b, gx card rk card around 50b, gioia 30b, himmel 100+b that is if you find someone selling but like i said, people who hunt mvps here holds the cards and wont sell to you at a fair price.

End game is custom content and with only 1 party running because you its impossible to make 2 parties with the amount of people playing in helheim, if youre not in that circle, you will never experience end game.

Mvp hunt? Goodluck. Like I said, the few people who camp mvps are the ones where either lunar gave mvp cards to or the ones who got their mvp cards during the eca event. Which means a new player has absolutely no way to compete against them because their decked out on MVPs.

Btw eca event? Lunar cancelled it after his friends got their mvp cards already. So absolutely no way of getting mvp cards for newer players.

But yea if you guys want to try the server out feel free and you can see for yourselves if you dont want to take my word for it.

Just dont be like me who donated and invested real cash and time in the server before getting hit by reality.

But yea, just warning new players so they do not make the same mistakes as me. If youre casual then yes the server is fun. But as a min maxer. Dont bother. Absolutely no way you can get mvp cards or farm end game items like BSBs BBs etc.

This is why the server has been bleeding dry. Almost every new players who tried immediately sees these issues and quit after a week or two.

excuse me. but i've been back and forth in the server from the beginning of time. even before their pre-renewal server. and u telling me that i know nothing about the sv. sure.

If u play enough of smRO you will have thousands BB. even if you dont play the game. just login daily, there still be hundred of BBs. talking about investing time but not knowing how the server work.
The ECA got cancelled cause kRO decide to do so. He literally put on an annoucement that there will be a last ECA event after kRO decision. And MvP are abundant in the server u can still buy them from others.

And again for both Nifheim and Helheim, the custom dungeon only provide consumables. For actual equipment u still have to grind the actual Ragnarok Online itself. so if no one running Fortessa, just spend your time farming zeny or offical items and exchange for them consumable? And if you are playing on Nifheim, blame yourself for the weak donkey you are.

Now you see guys see here another reason why to avoid smRO :) toxic people like the person above exists lol

While Im here providing an honest review and feedback on the server in hopes of lunar will do something about it. People like the poster above cant even be civilized about it and instead use crude and weak arguments that I already addressed on my review.

Anyway the player count says the quality of the server in itself. Less than 30 people online 100+ if you count vendors. I tried leveling a character again and even leveling maps are quite empty now. Like 1-3 people at most. End game party still the same, just one party with the same people in it. Economy is pretty bad. Since the people left are veterans, nobody is doing the other instances anymore or they already geared enough to solo it.

I dont know if the population is stable now though. But i keep hearing that its still bleeding players out.

I don't believe a server like SMRO has so little players.

The server got boosted by literary all Youtubers and generates so many visitors...

It can't have so little players, at least 400-600+ players at all times with this amount of attention the server received.

I wish my new server could get the same treatment :(

I'm sorry, did I read this correctly? You donated FOUR HUNDRED US DOLLARS on a server you'd barely played in?? Y'know if I didn't know any better, I'd swear you were just salty over not being able to reach the very top just by doing a little "pay-to-win" action  /ok

But, hey, let's assume good faith and say maybe you're just a very generous person who wanted to go in loving the server. Exactly which end-game content were you not able to reliably do after donating $400 USD? Because even if you made the mistake of donating all that money all at once off-event, you'd have gotten 2000 Cashshop Points for every dollar you donated, if not more. 100 Cash Shop Points (CP from here) can be exchanged for 1 Moon Coin (MC going forward), which generally sell for around 800,000 zenny on the market, often more. You can sell them for less if you're in a huge hurry, but that would be reckless at best at huge quantities.
So even in this scenario, where you wanted to be able to play all content possible, which "end game" content was it that you weren't able to run with, hang on, let's do some math here:

So $400 USD, assuming worst case scenario, at 1:2000, is 800,000 CP. Which is 8000 MC.
MCs sell for 800,000z, but let's assume you sold them at a lower value because you were super duper eager. Let's assume you sold all of them for 750,000z.

EVEN THEN, that's SIX BILLION ZENNY! 6,000,000,000!! And that's SUPER lowballing it. If you donated during a special event (1:4000) and sold your coins methodically at peak market times (MCs currently sell, reliably, for 877,000z, sometimes even 900,000z), you'd be looking at more like FOURTEEN Billion Zenny. What the hell content were you trying to access that fourteen billion zenny worth of gear was insufficient? Were you trying to run a melee-only supernovice or something?? End-game gear with good cards, even at its most expensive and in-demand, costs most like 2b at MOST if you bought everything using zenny. Fourteen billion zenny is significantly more than you'd ever need, even for cream-of-the-crop gear. You're either utterly indulgent or else terrible with your money. Or both. Guessing it might be both, given how we got here.

Your accusations of corruption notably lack any evidence whatsoever. It's literally just wild, unfounded speculation on your part. MVP cards drop very rarely, and the cards that are most valuable are ones which cannot be reliably hunted. But other cards can be. Multiple instances can be run daily, and on the highest difficulty setting the drop rate doubles. This includes Central Lab, which has 3 MVPs spawn every single time, several of which drop highly useful and valuable cards. Obviously this takes time, but that's how you get these rare cards. You put in the time  /pif

I've been playing RO since 2004, and I gotta say, Lunar is probably the least corrupt GM I've ever spoken with. He has whole systems in place to prevent GMs from abusing power, and has, consistently and reliably, immediately terminated any GM who overstepped. That you'd automatically assume his "Friends" are beneficiaries of cronyism on his part says more about you than anything else. That's sad. People worked hard and got lucky. I've only been playing here for a few months and I've gotten 4 MVP cards through luck and hard work, one of which was from an instance that sells for upwards of a billion zenny. That could happen to anyone. It could have happened to you. But it won't if you don't work for it. You can't buy an experience.

The community in SMRO is pretty small right now (though no where near as small as you're saying. It's closer to 150~200 active players on Helheim rn), but people here are unusually kind and generous. They are extremely welcoming to new players, and most of those veterans you spoke of would doubtlessly happily run you through end-game content at the drop of a hat because they're all f*** bored, lmao. This has unilaterally been my experience. It's even overwhelmed me to tears at times (don't tell them I said that). But then, to get that, you'd need to talk to people. Communicate. Make friends. Put yourself out there. Show the content of your character. No one is going to grab your hand and do everything for you. No one's gonna Magic-Pixie-Dream-Girl your way through end-game content. Not even if you pay through the nose to reach it.

I noticed you said you strive to have the best of the best. Not be the best of the best. I think that's apt. You wanted to have all this stuff handed to you, because you were willing to throw in real-world money into the game. You wanted special treatment because you had money to throw around. And you threw a tantrum when you didn't get it. Because for all your boom and bluster, you didn't even have enough money or smarts to buy your way to the top. It's a shame. If you'd stuck around, maybe we could have been friends. But you'd need to get off your high horse for that. And if you did, everyone would see just how small you are.

God forbid.

I made an account to make this post, I loved Helheim when it first came out, it was the best server around and it was so much fun to play w/ a bunch of people in parties.  Then lunar killed his own server by adding the ECA event, outrage was huge and it went from having 1000s of players to being a test server for a few streamers/youtubers that cling to it as a 'good' server.

Fortessa is actually really good, the quest to unlock it a bit silly, but feels well enough in the spirit of attunement quests we do.  The way Lunar did his party share system is ridiculously good and borderline brilliant, I love party play encouragement like this.  This is a server I actively watch to see if it will be good again, I'm happy to hear the ECA event is no more, but w/o a reset the damage is done.  I'd love to see a 3rd shard, or just lump Hel/Nif together, and start from scratch.  And this time if you do something where literally the discord explodes with 'OMG RESET OMG ROLLBACK' style complaints, don't just ignore it.  Helheim was some of the most fun I've had before the stupid MVP card event was introduced.  Then everyone quit.

Current state the server is garbage, look elsewhere.  You could use it as a test server to test builds, but no one plays on smRO.

Come check the server and see for yourself :D I read somewhere too that it has around 200-300 players at all times but when i started playing, i barely see any players on the leveling map. Like 2-3 people at most. and the custom end game dungeon only 1 party runs it. I tried making a group of new players to tackle it but sadly, most new players quit halfway when they already realized that the population on this server isnt that great.  It's one of the contributing factors as to why only a group of individuals controls the server economy.  Population is so small there's barely any competition hence, the small group of owner's friends can dictate the price of the market and they make sure everything is priced at an absurd rate.

I'm sorry, did I read this correctly? You donated FOUR HUNDRED US DOLLARS on a server you'd barely played in?? Y'know if I didn't know any better, I'd swear you were just salty over not being able to reach the very top just by doing a little "pay-to-win" action  /ok

You are wrong. I am not salty about spending 400$ on a server I barely know. It's not like its a big deal for me. 400$ is small compared to what i spent on other servers and im not complaining about that.  I just stated that donating 400$ would not get you the best gears on this server as a basis on how ridiculously expensive things are in the server because of less population and owner making the wrong decisions to make it more accessible to newer players.

Youre right about the community being great. Whenever I asked questions on #main i immediately get answers from the same people. Theyre helpful on providing new informations on new players and such. Like I've said on my first post, the journey to end game is amazing and i have no qualms about it.

The main problem on this server is its retention of playerbase and new players.  After new players get to max level, farmed their automatic gears etc. Min maxing  is the next step. How do you min max? MVP cards, refining your geaers, getting the perfect enchants.

With Lunar's friends playing all decked out with the best enchants, MVP cards on almost all slots, upgraded to +16 and above gears. There's just no way to compete with them. Sure you can farm HTF and other instances that has an insanely low drop rate of mvp cards. One good MVP card costs around 15b and above. That's a lot of HTF runs lol.

I cant pretty much  say anything about how the custom end game content is atm since that's the only thing I never experienced while playing in the server, because as I have said, based on my observation during my play time, only 1 party runs the end game instance and that party is a static group already so there's no way for me to squeeze in for a run and get a chance to try it.

I disagree with 150-200 active players though, during my leveling experience, there are like 2-3 people on the map and most of the time, I am the only person in the map. If what youre saying has any hint of truth in it, it shouldnt be that hard to look for leveling parties / end game  content parties. 150-200 people is plenty. But how about you  log in right now and  try and make a pit group with random people, not with your close friends, but with just random people and see how long it takes you to fill it up, that is if you can even fill it up.

The end game content right now is only accessible to veteran players and MVP hunting is only for those who are able to take advantage of ECA event / Friends of lunar who was given their MVPs and pls dont deny this lol. Every server has this issue not just  SMRO. its just that its more noticeable here because of the lack of population. Other servers also do this I am sure but they can get away with it because more players play thus these players can group up and be a competiting force vs the players who are given items by owner. But who knows, maybe its just a coincidence that the people who are close  to the owner of this server are the ones who have almost all their gears slotted with MVP cards. :D What a coincidence :D

Anyways, arguing with the veterans of this server really isnt contributing much to this review. This is from the point of view of a newer player. Ofcourse as veterans you will have some biases on the server as youve already took advantage of the event or you're already close with the owner to get certain special privileges that your experience significantly varies from a newcomer's perspective.

But for those who are wanting to try this server. Feel free and check it out. The issues ive listed here arent really hard to prove and you can feel it in a week or maybe a week and a half time of playing. you can even do little experiments to prove this like

while your leveling, try doing LFg and see how many people will join you
Go to vend area and see how many merchants belong to only 1 person. These are the limited individuals who controls end game instance thus only them have access to min maxing items
hit 200 and try joining a pit run via LFG or making your own party (its a  waste of time but atleast you can see it for yourself)
try going to different MVP maps and see who killed the boss ( only the same individuals because no matter how hard to try and camp it as well, they just out damage you with their full MVP slotted gears)

Hi! I've been playing SMRO on and off since a month after it opened. I know Lunar well, especially after playing so long on the server. I have his phone number and email but yet I didn't receive a single MVP card from him nor the ECA event. My two MVP cards were obtained from actually playing the game. How did I get my high end gear? Farming zeny + donating allowed me to purchase gear from other players.

I'm really confused as to where you got the idea from that he gives his "friends" MVP cards. Can you explain how you came to that conclusion? Where is the evidence?

MAYBE Lunar done some mistakes
But as a free player
I can say that you can make zenny and strong gears withouth even opening a shop

thanks man! yea i mean im not mad about the money, the time investment maybe a little. I just hate that they were advertising the server as a server that has 100-200 people online without factoring vendors where in reality its like 100 people online and 60-70 of them are vendors lol. Atleast that's what it looks like for when i was playing the game. Barely any people in maps and same people doing the end game custom dungeon.

But yea hopefully this serves as a warning to those who wants to play ragnarok in a non casual way :)

Like I've said, maybe its just an amazingly beautiful coincidence that most players who knew lunar and are friends with lunar have all their gears slotted with MVP cards. You said you were on and off, maybe you were off when he was handling them? or maybe I am lying and it really is just a big coincidence :D but ill let the people decide on that one. I mean not all of us are idiots who can't come up with their own conclusions regarding that one. All I'm saying is that when his friends got their mvp cards, he then cancelled the eca event so  newer players cant catch up :D or who knows maybe he traded them directly the mvp cards but no proof means i cant prove it. So it's all speculations.

it doesnt change the underlying issues of the end game content not being accessible to new players though. Just want to let people know before they try the server so they wont go in with the same expectations that i have.
Nah it's fine.
I believe in you.

Erm if you like kRO progression server... I'd love to become your friend  /lv
I play in kRO actively, have a Shadow Chaser and now just recently turned a Inquisitor to 200.

for sure man! I am testing another server currently and will post my review once I get a hang of things. This one looks promising as i can tell it already has more population in it. Just by the number of people im meeting in town and in leveling areas. Not sure about the end game yet though.

You and your delusions mister, I for one farmed all 70% of the mvps I own, some were gifts from friends, and some were bought from players and to give you an idea, I farm very casually. Ever heard of MVP camping? If not I'll teach you. Its all about competition if you are slow then you won't reach to kill it. If you have bad warps you give up on it simple as that, you spam convex on the last minute so you are ahead of those who cannot spam(burn convexes u can re-farm them anyway as someone said cash shop items here are farmable so what's your problem mister?). Now let me tell you just how much did you even camp mvps to complain? you talk as if every single mvp came from ECA from all your complaints. Besides it is true that the prices of rare mvps are too much but they are priced that way cause people are willing to pay for them so what can you do about that? Lets be honest here you probably never camped and only complained, I have been competing with other people for mvps, and the experience of winning and getting an mvp card is something you won't understand. I also dropped a few mvps from central lab as spoken by a few people here. The people here, even took the time to give you "TIPS" and I'm giving you more now. So let's cut to the chase of the real issue here don't even reply to me if you cannot provide an adequate answer. Now let me ask who are these people that you accused of getting mvps from GMS? please drop names already and screenshots (PROOOF PLEASE stop barking) if you got no proof, and all you do is complain then sorry to you and thanks for wasting our time.  /pif

I wrote this to you because your insults on people's efforts in camping mvps and accusing the GM(s) for whatever nonsense you can think off. If you don't want to play the game simply because people are highly competitive in MVP camping then look for a dead server where the mvps are always alive, Tsk. (EVEN A PERSON I INVITED TO THE GAME COULD COMPETE WITH "MAXED GEARED END GAME MVP HUNTERS" ALL YOU NEED IS "BIG BRAINS".)  /ok

I need you to understand that you have cause and effect completely backwards. These players you keep mentioning with seething envy in your core are not so powerful and decked out because they are Lunar's friends. They've become friends with Lunar because they've been such active players, and naturally interacted with him a lot. They're not so powerful because they're Lunar's friends. They're Lunar's friends because they put in the time to become powerful.

You say the MVP card drop rates are low, and I mean, they are, but that's pretty normal? That's the standard? Not really following you on the issue here. I

You keep saying that you never got to run Pit or Ruins, because there was no room in the static, or whatever. First of all: That's straight up not true. There's always people looking for members in statics. Every time. If you want to say they're never looking for the specific class you chose, I mean, yeah, that may well be true. Some jobs are more popular than others. But I know plenty of people run those pretty often. Whenever they can, really. I've actually had the opposite problem, really. People keep inviting me when I don't have time to play  /heh

I literally ran pit today. Probably around when you posted this message. I didn't know half the people in the group. I didn't even know we were running it. I just got told to leave my party, and suddenly we were raiding, lmao. This kind of thing happens often here. I'm sorry you never got that experience.

I can tell you, however, with absolute certainty, that what you're saying is simply not true, however. No MVP card is necessary for any end-game content. I know, because I've run all of it, and I don't use any MVP cards. I have some, but they're collecting dust in storage, since they're not useful to the classes I play. And what the hell do you mean "please don't deny this", I'm telling you that's just not the case. There have been GMs here in the past who tried to cheat, and they were immediately caught and thrown out! Lunar just isn't like that. He's a lot of things, but he's not corrupt. That you refuse to believe this speaks entirely to your own character, not his.

Again, you're confusing cause with effect. Those people who have nice gear weren't given it by Lunar. They're just the people who've stuck around long enough to have nice gear, and who've thus been exposed to Lunar the most. Of course you'd naturally make friends with people you're near.

And I'm hammering you so hard on this very specifically because I'm not a veteran player. I only joined in, like, April. I was really shy when I joined and didn't reach out to people, and I was very lonely. Someone saw me saying so on the Discord and immediately invited me to her guild, and I haven't wanted for much of anything since. I even made a Booster character right out the gate like a fool, and people still did their best to help me. Even when I was a whiney baby about things. I've literally never even seen an ECA before.

Your experience is by no means universal. Quite the contrary. You say these other servers have all these issues too. But you're the common factor here. It really does feel like the problem here is you, man  /hmm

Wow, I can't believe you spent $400 and still suck. Maybe you're doing something wrong or you just suck at this game.  /heh

I guess you're the type of player that thinks if you pay good amount of $$$$ you'll have a very large advantage over others, not just in progression but also in damage output and now you are whining cause SMRO is not like that (in some sort). LMFAO

Stop spouting non sense and provide some proofs or maybe you just heard those allegations from jealous players that can't compete with active MvP hunters around and are just spouting non sense like you coz no matter how much you spend, you still suck at the game?  /heh

Proves to me that you have no skill in the game at all and is just purely a spender.  /ok

you do realize even with the 90% damage reduction Mvps still die in second with the avarage gear right? just GITGUD

Aside from lunar giving mvp cards to his friends, every issue i have said here can be easily proven just by logging into the game :)

Sure they put in the time and effort :)  Maybe they're super lucky that all the mvp cards just happened to drop for them despite the droprate being 0.1% :D While others who started the same time as them who are not close with lunar doesnt have it drop for them. Anyways these allegations i have no proof so lets drop it and i admit im just assuming things. Let's just hypothetically say that the people who happens to be close to lunar managed to be lucky and hit the 0.1 - 0.3% drop chance on every single MVPs they hunted and those who are not close with lunar are just plain unlucky because 0.1% - 0.3% drop chance is very low rate

It doesnt change the fact that right now, there's only 1 pit party going on in the server and as you've said, you got invited to it because you know half of them :P As a new player though the perspective is a little different because you dont know ALL of them and they dont know you.

When you have your end game gears, the only thing left is to min max. With the decked out on MVP cards players camping MVP spawns, youre only option to get  MVP cards to  atleast be a competition versus them is via bloody branch. Where can you efficiently farm BB? that's right! the end game custom dungeon which only 1 group controls. Only if you manage to get into that group are you able to atleast get a chance to farm BB and most of the time, that group doesnt have room for new players.

It also doesnt change the fact that the economy of the server is being controlled by that group as well since only they can easily farm Bsbs Bbs and  other neccessary items for min maxing your builds.

To be honest, the only solution i can think of for this is to have more players, newer players who can group up and tackle the custom end game as well. But the thing is, because of all the issues that i have stated on my first post, Most newer players are immediately put off and hates the system.

By the amount of veteran players here defending the server is proving my point more and more. Are you guys afraid that if the system changes  you guys wont get to control the market anymore that's why you want it to stay as it is? Here I am, stating the issues that makes this server bad for newer players and you guys are denying it? IF you guys really love the server and want it to be more succesful you should instead acknowledge the problems and improve it. In the end, you defending the server only serves 1 purpose and that is so the mentioned group of people who monopolizes the economy will still be able to monopolize the economy.

OP I think you're done here, the more you make up baseless claims the worse your review looks and you're just whining.  Truth is you hit the nail on the head as to why exactly shining moon has no players, and only the big whales are still around to control the market.  I put a lot of time into the server too only to have it ripped away by the ECA event.  The refine event is trash too, just makes it so you have to save up your crap to refine. Just cut your losses and move on, something that could have been great is destined to rot in obscurity.

(Emphasis mine)

The usual drop rate on MVP cards is not 0.1%. It's certainly not 0.3%. The standard drop rate of an MVP card on official servers isn't 0.1%. It's 0.01%. That's one in ten thousand. The base drop rate of MVP cards on our server is 0.04%. That's 1/2500. Which, yes, is still quite low. However, there are numerous ways to increase this. Many MVPs can be encountered in Instances. This includes any and all Bloody Branch MVPs. Instances can be run on SMRO at higher difficulty levels. At the current highest, damage is reduced to 1/10th, and drop rates are doubled. Characters who achieve level 175 at 1x rates also receive a +50% bonus to drop rates. Double drop events are quite common on SMRO. And several items and equipment can also increase drop-rates, several of which are possible to include even in end-game builds. And that's before you factor in HE Bubblegum, which is easily accessible to all players for a very easily attainable sum. Right now, there's a double-drop event. So my regular, field drop rate with no Bubblegum on MVP cards is 0.13%. With Gum and in a Hell-mode instance, this goes up significantly. But even without gum, that would still be around 0.25%, which is 1/400. That's pretty high, when you consider that most end-game players are going to be taking advantage and running instances which have useful MVPs in them. And again, reaching that "end-game state" is not nearly as difficult as you're making it out to be. It took me a little over a month of very casual playing and I took my sweet time doing so. Other players who put nose to grindstone did so in just two weeks. You're viewing the number as being "low" because you're not looking at it holistically. The odds of you getting an individual MVP card just by running an instance once? Very low. The odds of 40 players all running multiple instances a day during event, that one of them gets at least one card? Incredibly high. Almost inevitable.

You keep saying there's only one pit party, but I've been in several. There were only three or four of the same people this time as last time. And much the same with Ruins. You keep saying that, but it's simply not true. Also the people that did overlap are super nice and I'm very pleased to consider them to be my friends! That could have been your experience too, but you opted for this instead.

You also keep saying that's the only way to farm MVPs, but that's also not true? Even if you discount Instances with specific MVPs that are short and easy to access (Such as Room of Consciousness for Bijou, which is a card I got soloing), Central Lab and Infinite Space are both soloable on Hell mode fairly easily, and Wolfchev's Laboratory is easily done at higher difficulties (though not necessarily hell) with easily attainable gear. What's more, these are all possible to do once per day per character. If you ran JUST THOSE during an event, that's 5 different MVPs all at 1/400 odds, once per day, per character (and actually I lied. Infinite Space can be done 2-4 times a day), you'd all but inevitably stumble upon one or two MVP cards eventually. And that's discounting Instances like Endless Tower and Endless Cellar, which have tens of MVPS, many of which are valuable, which can also be run on hard mode. Those have slightly longer cooldowns, but can still be done by each character you have.

Furthermore, the items you're opining are only attainable via Pit are...not? BSBs and BBs are given out to every player as a matter of course via the Daily Rewards? What's more, you also get Moonlight Coins every day the same way, which can be accumulated and used in the Slot Machine, which also has a decent chance of giving, that's right, BSBs and BBs. In fact, most players I know who have huge numbers of BSBs and BBs got them from saving up MLCs and then using the special slot during events, not from farming Pit.

Every assumption you've made is flatly incorrect. That's the simple truth. Everything you say is easily refuted by simple evidence. To reiterate, I am a new player, same as you. And I had more of an uphill battle because I didn't have four hundred dollars to throw at this old game. You had every advantage, but you still couldn't muster it. I'm not arguing with you because I stand to lose something. I'm arguing with you because you're bold-facedly lying and undeniably mistaken. What you're saying is categorically untrue.

Are there problems in this server? Absolutely. There's several. Many of which are actively being addressed, and others that I've had the opportunity to discuss with the staff. Some problems were on me. And some things will hopefully be changed in the future. But don't act like you're here out of benevolence. That's flagrantly untrue and ridiculous of you to suggest. You came here to b****[/i]. You came here to b**** about the weird conclusions you came to about how things have to be, because you are, plainly, unable to reconcile that you are the problem.

Im glad you get my point about the big whales controlling the entire market except its just not the big whales but also the one group that does pit and gm close circle of friends that controls mvp cards.

Sorry man. Better luck next time.

The instances mvps are different from what im talking about. I am talking about gioia (which spawns on central lab instance but with 1 month of doing it on 4 characters daily i only encountered once) bio5 mvps, jewgo, and other field only mvps.

Lol! 3-4 parties? Are you sure youre playing on helheim? Hahaha! Just by joining the discord under LFG and you can see other people looking for pit parties that just falls into deaf ears. Check it right now and scroll up and see for yourself.

Sure you can get daily bsb and bbs from logging in. But im not sure if you tried refining your armors to +14 and see how many bsbs you think you need to reach it. If not ill tell you, no less than 80-90 bsb if youre lucky during the event and how many do you get from the daily log in in a month? Around less than 20. How many Bbs do you roughly need to get an mvp drop? Around 300? A good mvp drop like kiel? Roughly more than 2k. How many do you get from logging in dailies? 10-20 a month?

How many moonlight do you need to gather those bsbs and bbs to get a good mvp and bsb? Around 6k-8k when theres lucky slot event. How may do you get a day? Around 50 mlc.

How do you get more moonlight coins? End game group content drops BB bsbs fortessabox2 that contains them and moonlight bags.

But with only 1 party running. Only that static group gets to enjoy all the min maxing goodness :D

Okay so I agree with you in how party was so hard to find since yeah we can`t deny it that we need new players. And most of all I do agree in how it is monopolized market (Since many didn`t want to farm or doesn`t bother) But How could you say Lunar giveaway MVP???? and really dude..... with only decent gear I can kill many MVP such as Kiel or Gioia in only few second as a SR or Ranger even.... and that didn`t even cost 400$ equipment dude. If you want MVP then camp it FFS. ECA is gone then accept it. Doesn`t mean you cannot farm MVP bruh..... You can gear your character easily and you can even make multi alts to spam instance and so on to get the MVP Card. And if you want Gioia then camp it FFS or do Central Lab. Even I as SR or Ranger without MVP Can kill this easily dude. The trick is just using Convex Mirror+Infinite Fly Wing WTF?? Those 2 are not even expensive my man. Also 400$ MC is enough to get you to end game. You can`t really expect MVP to be easily available for you. Even a veteran LITERALLY Camping it or spend their zeny to get that MVP......... You can literally get 20m++ each day just by doing HTF with 1 Character....... Also Lunar never was giving away MVP Card even for the veterans. THEY DID FARM IT BY THEMSELVES.... Seriously how did you even get this Idea of veterans being given away MVP Card by Lunar???? How did you even consider that??? and What is the proof? or anything based to support that claim of yours????

Pit Parties:
Bora's PT - FC/Mixed
Crowds - South America
Juice's PT - Malaysian
Fort Mercs/Infernals - Philippines
Wash Your Hands - Brazil

How do you think they made parties, bring their friends IRL? All made friends here and built parties along the way.
The problem in LFG is people only want to join, but don't want the responsibility of recruiting.

Just a night ago there were 2 parties in pit at the same time. On the same night we couldn't fill the party with the many members in discord, and we had to recruit on main chat.

MVPs:

Of course the likes of Jewgo are expensive, they don't come from BBs or instances, and that's based on official.

No basis that Lunar closed ECA cause all his friends got cards, it's because kRO discontinued it.

So yeah, none of your statements make sense. At least base your statements on facts. There's been many generations of these endgame parties and bigtime MVP hunters then and now. Everyone started from scratch. If you want to do any of these things, it's possible with effort instead of, you know, complaining.

Aside from lunar giving mvp cards to his friends, every issue i have said here can be easily proven just by logging into the game :)

some were gift from friends? hmmm is it the server owner? Please be careful of what you say :)

Hi I'm a player from Crowds (the hispanic guild that "stole" the youtuber's save place, had a controversy with fc, bothered lunar with woe changes that didn't work and now no one plays woe...sorry about that one, but I have a char to play in every woe....except when they exploit class change, i get mad when that happens :c)

We are a guild that was created 2 years ago and, as you can read above, lunar doesn't like us very much tbh (idk if it's just me, maybe lunar actually likes us, if you are reading this lunar we love the server.......and plz forgive us if our jokes cause a big misunderstanding, we have no ill intentions really xD)

With that said most our members play since less than 2 years ago and the fact that they have mvps is that they farm non-stop bloody branches, instances, they mvp camp (but it's hard to do against the other players, like in every ro server I played) and do pit/ruins whenever they can which brings me to the next topic.

Look dude I am the pit/ruins organizer for Crowds and you know what? THE LAST 3 TIMES we tried to organize it, we were missing tank, ab, minstrel, wanderer, sura, mechanic, rk and bc no one answered in #lfg we couldn't start and the party died doing nothing. I know we do it very early, it was to not collide with bora's party time. I know the server had no updates for a while and that caused the player base to stop playing till something new comes (which is about to come in a few weeks). But that shows that there ARE slots for anyone if you build any of the classes above listed. We did not say that there were leech space sometimes but that's my fault for sorry.

And the market..... well it could be solved by having more players. Afraid of new players? We have had new players coming since last year, most of them also ended up with end game gear in like 2-3 months and some even got mvps by farming zeny/selling instance mats.

Back to the mvp cards, yeah lunar removed eca but it was kro official. I know most the mvps we got were from there, from farming cards till we were so tired that we never wanted to do endless or field farm ever again (tho some of our guild members even wanted to keep going.. they sure have stamina to farm x.x).

Most mvp cards are not that expensive, they are also not needed for end game content (but they are really helpful). Yeah gioia, himmel, bio5 cards and the like are ultra expensive but those are just for min max.
Farming 10-12b for things like kiel, grp without touching pit/ruins is doable, by selling mats from instances, varmeals and field materials. A guild mate who joined last year has been doing that and now he has tons of mvp (kiel, gloom, thana and many more).
4-6b for Thana, tgk, gloom and many more is even easier.
And cards like fbh, vesper, pharaoh are arround 400-600m
But if you are a lazy donkey like me it's pretty hard to farm constantly like that.

Idk how it was this bad for you, maybe you didn't have a guild to help you go instances or fortessa, in most ro servers it's like that, you need to join a guild to progress smoothly and reach end game content.

I have to confirm the fact that it's really intimidating playing when there are lots of veterans full geared only saving up for mvps but, isn't it like that everytime you play a old server?

That's all I have to say, sorry you couldn't find your place here in SM, but for me it has been a really fun place to hang out with old and new friends.

So don't just plainly say "Don't come to SM, it's bad and casual" we need new players to join and keep playing, don't scare them like that :c

Sorry if my english is bad or if it has some errors, my main language is spanish and I'm writing this from my cellphone (excuses ik).

TLDR:
Lunar didn't gave us the mvps, we farmed to get them (some more, some less).
There's space for pit and ruins (plz build a performer or a tank, they are good and needed to run these dungeons qwq)
And the market is as bad as always, you are right there, but you should have said in the OP: come to sm so we can fix the market together (?

Yes you can easily farm MVPs with relatively average gear, but that is only IF you are the only one and you arent competing with other people who are fully slotted with MVP cards. Like if you try and hunt let's say Gioia, bio5 mvps, kiel etc right now. I am sure you can kill those with relative ease. But when the people who already have fully slotted mvp gears enters the picture, they will 100% out dps you and get the MVP for themselves.

And for sure they farm it themselves and got super lucky to hit jackpot on all the MVPs theyre hunting. Like one person said, the drop chance for an mvp drop is 1 out of 2500. Based on how that rate, you dont need to be a math wizard to see the probability of a very limited individuals to get all the Good MVP cards and stack up those cards. Considering some of the MVPs has 8hours respawn rate as well.

Let's create a hypothetical scenario. 10 people, all with equal gears, all without special privileges of being friends with the owner. All 10 the 10 players go out and hunt MVP cards with 1/2500 drop rate. Do you know the odds of out of those 10 people, 5 of them managed to get most if not all the MVP cards while leaving the other 5 in the dust? insanely miniscule. But what a coincidence that it happened on this server and what a coincidence that those 5 happened to be friends with the  GM  /heh /heh that's just a scenario though Im not saying there are only 5 people who are fully slotted with non instance good mvp drops in the server. I am sure owner has more than 5 friends  /ho but anyways lets just say that it really is just a coincidence and  lunar didnt help them. WOW what an amazing odds for those 5 players right?  They should play lottery irl or something with that luck. You have higher chances of winning the lottery than the scenario happening :D

/hmm this just further proves my point btw. that end game parties are static and newer players wont be able to  tackle end game content unless they belong in these circles :D just by you being able to pin  point the parties just further proves my point about the static group that runs end game custom content and that's only accesible whoever belongs in their circle of friends list. and BTW the post below you just disproved your post so im n ot even sure if your opinion is valid at this point.  You put Crowd in there as one of the parties farming pit but the guy below is from Crowd and said they didnt manage to make a party lol! Now I wonder if those other parties were just made up too. Im not sure which party you mentioned had monopoly on pit loots, but nice try though! making it look like there's more than 1 party running :D

Again, check discord LFG list, there are new players looking for groups in pits but just fall on deaf ears because of the fixed static group. Nobody is even replying in that thread.

Hey man! out of all the responses here yours is one of the most sensible one. I am glad that there are still players like you in the game who strives and work hard without being handed down stuffs to you and I commend you for it. Sadly though, I am not like you guys who can mindlessly grind and do hardwork while the rest of the players who are friends with the owner just  have it easy. I strive for a game where everyone is equal and gets equally rewarded for the work they put in it. And i dont know which servers you have played before, but for me who have played on different servers, this is the only server that has a problem on making groups to tackle end game contents. Some servers you can just publicly recruit for players while some servers who have population problem remedies this by having their end game custom maps soloable.

Kudos to your friend as well who managed to farm for a year just to get a bunch of MVP cards while the "BLESSED BY RNG" players got them just by doing ECA and ofcourse "hunting MVPs and managed to hit 1 out of 2500 chances on all of them in a short amount of time"

I am sorry for making this thread, my objective isnt to scare away players but to make it clear for those who wants to try this server so they will come in without having any expectations and end up being disappointed if the expectations they have  are not met. I value my time and other people's time so by doing this, i am hoping to save other's time by providing the issues they are going to encounter when they join.

So for newer players out there who is alright with these issues feel free to play in the server. Its a pretty stable server with barely any crashes.

Your point is there's only "one" party that monopolizes endgame content. And parties are fixed. How can it be fixed if they're recruiting on LFG?

There's no real point in speaking with you any longer if you're going to be deliberately obtuse and obstinate. You're completely unwilling to move your opinion on any of your positions. You're basically just looking through people's comments looking for things to argue, which is made all the worse by your perpetual insistence that anything and everything anyone says just provides "further evidence". You're able to do this because you're constantly moving goalposts. You have no greater objective or any end-game here. You're just trying to be a **** and get this server to die because you wasted money and couldn't get in on an inner circle you're convinced exists. And you'll never be satisfied because you keep waiting for someone to 'own up' to the fact that it 'must'.

My point regarding the resources you claimed you needed was that even if no one ever ran Pit or Ruins, those resources would constantly be entering the marketplace by virtue of every player getting them on occasion, and not all of them needing them. And people are always selling them. You need no access to "end game content" to access any of this. You're just making up problems to account for issues you're perceiving that do not exist. People have established that you're mistaken on multiple fronts, and you continue to deny it over and over like a short-sighted child.

I wash my hands of you. There's nothing to be gained in this exchange. I've said what I wished to say

Dude WTF? With 400$ You can oneshot Kiel or Gioia with just GX CI dude. and also Where is the prove you say Lunar`s Friend have it easy and handed to them? WTF Dude? Do you know how they farm Varmeals with 12 slot or so? Also by MVP do you know when ECA was still up before there are some of whales here who buy thousands or more Trashy Cards for the chance for getting it? for example HSBC. Do you think Lunar gave him an access or something? Have you ever know dedication they put to farming? If you cannot fathom it just because your standards doesn`t allow it then IT IS WRONG. You can`t imagine the dedication they put to farm the MVP hourly and competing against some other randoms and be on time when the MVP is up. This had been Ragnarok`s Camping for Long time dude. Just because you can`t farm it you don`t have the right to say it is unfair because you don`t want to dedicate yourself. For Bio 5 yeah they are hard, But the camper also farming the gears and Card they need before unlike you who expect 400$ to be ready for anything ignoring any mechanism the MVP have and other things. WTF Dude? How can you be so blind to this fact that they also started as scratch and grind meticulously to get to the top? The trick is luck in the warping if u are MVP Camping. Also party with inner circle? Dude.... Why don`t you try recruit and so? You said it is locked for them but you yourself never bothered to try recruit it in #lfg or so in the game. WTF? Oh yea also reminder. If you camp it and kill it in oneshot then the Whale or the Veterans you say will NOT get the Card or the MVP for the boss. just saying that. Lunar never even once gave an MVP for the players. It is on their luck and if not their meticulous farm. If you feel you are geared for pit then Try recruit it in game yourself and see it for yourself. Don`t blame the Veteran just because you don`t get a party. see yourself first before blaming others.

Your point is there's only "one" party that monopolizes endgame content. And parties are fixed. How can it be fixed if they're recruiting on LFG?

Oh I'm sorry, let me explain to you further so you can understand what I am saying. What I mean by one party monopolizing the end game content is that atm, There is only 1 party always doing the end game dungeon and has access to its loots. I know there are people recruiting in LFG. That's why I have clearly stated that if you check discord there are people in LFG looking for groups but fall on deaf ears because of 2 reasons, first reason is lack of players and second being the only party that does it is a static group. Like the poster below your  first post stated, he did try recruiting people but ultimately ended up being a failure.

For sure for sure! You have proven your loyalty to the server by defending it to the best of your capabilities. It's just sad that sometimes, the reality is very different from what you perceive. Do not worry though, I dont blame you. Since like I've said before, our perspectives are different from each other as  I am a new player and you are a veteran who already have your own circle of friends so you have your own biases as to why you dont think the server has any glaring issues whatsoever :D

Yes you can get the resources needed in ways  you have said free daily logins yada yada yada. But pls refer to my previous post as to why this isnt enough and as to how many do you really need of this resources in order to achieve either +14 gears or an MVP card from BBs. The end game custom dungeon is the only way to effectively farm those :)

and no, my end goal here isnt to argue. In fact, it's you people who suddenly came in rushing to this topic trying to defend and pretend that the issues i stated do not exist. The goal of this post is to inform new players about the issues they will encounter when they play on this server. I am sounding like a broken record here but i just want to let the people who are thinking of joining this server the issues they are going to encounter and the pros and cons of joining this server. This will prevent them from being disappointed because they will join the server without any expectations that wont be met.

Exactly. When the ECA was still there. But after they have gotten their MVP cards via ECA, Lunar cancelled it :) Well I heard its coming back though so that's atleast a positive for the newer players. But I think at this point it is already too late as his circle of friends already controls the market which is the main reason as to why the server bled its population. I'm sure before all this fiasco the server was healthy and reasonably populated. But right now, with the lack of people added to the glaring issues, it's just not fun  for new players anymore :) Youre right, youre absolutely right  :) These people who are decked on out on  MVPs camped the bosses 24/7 and managed to get  their cards in short amount of time :D  What incredible luck they have though, they managed to hit the 1 out 2500 chances on EVERY MVP BOSS hahaha!

Anyways. For the New prospects who wants to join this server and is looking for a review. I would suggest you guys skip all the non sensical arguments that happened here and just read my opening post. While I do respect the veteran's opinions on the server's issues, it's really difficult for a new player and for a veteran player to be in sync with each other's opinions as the veteran players already have their own biases as to why this server is amazing.

but here's a TLDR for those who managed to read this post

Pros

- The server is stable and have nice events.
- The server is true to kro aside from minor custom stuffs
- The server has a pretty tight community. (as evidenced here on this topic, some are even choosing to pretend blind ignoring the server's cons) but atleast they are really passionate
- The 4th job is coming out and owner is working hard on it

Cons

- Population less than 100. (with vendors it can reach to more than 100)
- Dead leveling zones (the leveling zones are soloable, but if you are looking to find a full party, its currently impossible.  you can find maybe 2-3 people  max if youre lucky)
- Custom endgame dungeon inaccessible for new players (This goes in conjunction with low population. The server has a tight community thus, if youre not sociable and cant get in their circle, chances are you wont be able to enjoy the end game contents denying you the ability to min max your builds)
- If you want a good MVP card outside of instances, it's pretty much impossible to get since you will be competing with the veteran players who are decked out in full MVP carded gears. This makes them deal 40-50% more damage than you, sometimes even more!
- A handful of people controls the economy meaning you have to pay an absurd amount of price to get something  easily obtainable if you are able to do the custom end game dungeon.

So like you know.... Lunar removes ECA has nothing to do with Lunar`s friend etc. this is what KRO Said regarding ECA https://hazyforest.com/events:card_exchange they remove it not Lunar`s idea because his friend has Card etc bruh. also what is impossible is never been impossible at all. I am not as geared end game as other veterans yet I still manage to kill some good monster sometimes if I bother to. It all comes luck of Fly Wing and Convex seriously..... You can kill them before the veteran reach the boss sometimes. Unless you are lazy. Learn how to camp and being prepared is a thing before you want to camp an MVP bruh. Also tbh if you already feels like to do Pit or Ruins why you did not try recruit? I am sure if you try recruit then you can go too. And also even if you are not in Veteran circle or something you said bout that, you can still join them if they recruit. the thing is you need to be brave and try to recruit party on your own. Just that.  Also I kinda wonder how do you even know if they dropped a Card or not? based on what you say about 1/2500 chance you said I mean..... I don`t even know where do you even get this whole idea? How do you know they dropped or not? and how are you be so sure if they drop or not?

As some of the tl:dr points seem lacking in information or are ill-informed, I’ll address these point by point:

Pros

- “custom stuffs” as OP puts it, means quality of life changes and content that allows players to obtain cash-exclusive consumables/shadow gear by in-game means. In kRO, players have to pay for gacha boxes to be able to obtain these items, but here you can get them all through in-game means.

Cons

- “endgame inaccessible to newbies.” As others have mentioned, this is simply untrue. What OP describes as end-game are so called ‘Fortessa Pit’ and ‘Fortessa Ruins’, dungeons which allow players to obtain some of the kRO cash-exclusive consumables and items. When players in SMRO recruit for these, the party usually requires a couple support roles, where the DPS roles are admittedly a bit less newbie friendly (‘Fortessa Pit’ usually requires a support SR for linking the SC tank, and ‘Fortessa Ruins’ a LP sorc, for example). A newbie can easily create a ‘Pit/Ruins’ support char and have them ready for when a party is recruiting (most people don’t like playing these support roles either, but that’s what it takes if you’re new and/or not very well geared).

- “obtaining MVPs.” MVP competition has always been tight in MVP camping, however even as someone who is not very well geared, you do in fact have a chance to kill a MVP here or there, sure you will often meet competition, but that’s just the nature of MVP camping. Even with some hardcore MVP farmers in SMRO, there are timeslots you can get some MVP kills in. As for Bloody Branches, while they are usually obtained through the aforementioned ‘Fortessa’ content, they are also obtainable through the Daily Login reward system, ‘Lucky3’ (which are obtained by rolling the ‘Slot Machine,’ which uses ‘Moonlight Coins,’ obtained through daily login, as currency), and even through the ‘Skeleton Key’ exchange NPC (described below) among other means.

- “controlling market.” OP is hardpressed to push this narrative that somehow ‘Fortessa Pit’ and ‘Fortessa Ruins’ drop items you cannot get elsewhere in the game. This is simply untrue, currently, if you cannot run these two dungeons, you can run an easier custom dungeon called ‘Fortessa Dungeon,’ which drops emblems you may exchange for ‘Fortessa Pit’ currency (‘Skeleton Keys’), and there is a shop where you can buy all of the items that ‘Fortessa Pit’ drops with this currency. So again, even if you are unwilling to play support for endgame content, you can still obtain all of the items through this exchange NPC …

- a note about the admin supposedly giving players MVP cards. While it would be counterproductive to claim anything, as OP would likely appeal to an ad hominem yet again (“you’re a veteran, obviously you’re biased!”), please dear reader, think about what implication this kind of action would have for the server. Would people not stop playing soon after obtaining all the cards they could ever dream of, because it was too easy? Would people still build without MVP cards? Would the admin not actively act against his own server philosophy (no RMT, as little as possible dependance on Cash Shop related ways to obtain items), due to which the server has features like obtaining cash-exclusive kRO items through in-game means? As a matter of fact, having an MVP card does not seem to be favourable in many cases any longer, new post-17. 1 content cards and card combos are much more suitable for certain equipment slots and builds, compared to blindly slapping MVP cards into your build.

- a note on ECA. Many people rage quit when they didn’t get lucky with this event, but if you were around for each of the events, you would notice there have been some lucky players who opened few albums and got an MVP card (not always a good one, but that’s beside the point), however there were also players notorious for investing a lot of time and energy into collecting as many ECA as possible before opening them, of course those players would be more likely to get an MVP drop from this event. This is just the nature of RNG, and the extent to which players needed to go to secure at least one MVP drop.

In conclusion, I implore you, dear reader, to read carefully through this thread and try the server for yourself before coming to any abrupt conclusions. OP clearly has a motive to be spreading these blatant lies, and it’s incredibly intellectually dishonest and disappointing that, when presented with counterarguments, he moves goal posts (as someone else has mentioned), or appeals to blatant ad hominem attacks such as “anyone who is a veteran is biased, anyone who presents counterarguments is biased, anyone who is not new or presents counterarguments is wrong.”

This thread seems to be somewhat of a double bind, a. k. a. “doomed if you do, doomed if you don’t,” OP has created a no-win situation, in which the server ends up looking bad whether people defend it (anyone presenting counterevidence must be a veteran, according to OP, and because they’re veterans, their info is biased, and therefore somehow wrong), or don’t defend it (the reader is only presented with what information, or in this case misinformation, the OP provides).

Another rebutal from a biased veteran's perspective. I have already addressed all these topics in my previous posts. But I guess it's too difficult to back read some of my points so I'm going to sound like a broken record here and repeat how I addressed all these biased rebutals  /hmm /hmm

- “endgame inaccessible to newbies.” As others have mentioned, this is simply untrue.  /heh /heh

Let me guess, youre a long time player on this server? Based on your opinion I can tell how oblivious you are to the situation of the newer players. No, a newbie cannot easily be accepted in a pit or ruins party. In the 3 weeks i have played in the server, barely anyone is recruiting wether it's a support role or dps role. Like I said, I've  seen people in game and in discord, some of them are AB some of them are warlocks which are considered support roles. When I asked them after I still see them shouting after 2hours if someone pmed them, their answer is no. Nobody even reacted to them. It's like people cant read their msg or something. You see the problem here? It's because the veterans have their own circles already that it's very hard for a new player to get into these parties. Ofcourse you will say it's easy to get into, it's because you belong to that circle  /heh you already have your premade group that whatever character you make wether it's support or dps, you will get an invite. But again,  on a new player's perspective which this thread is intended for, it's near impossible. You don't even have to log in to the game to see this. Just check the discord LFG section :D

It's not even a competition  /heh /heh what chance does a player has who doesnt have multiple mvps that lets you deal 40-50% more damage on certain properties against someone who owns all the cards? The answer is close to none :P It's really funny how you guys try to defend MVP camping is a tight competition mvp camping is fair etc etc, when in fact it isnt and the reason to why you don't see this is because either you didnt hunt your MVP cards ( maybe it was handed down to you or maybe you got it from ECA) or you don't really  care about min maxing your character at all and have not tried camping a certain mvp yourself.  /no1 /no1 but if it's the case, then i suggest you try camping an mvp, remove all your mvp cards, and compete with a person who's decked out on mvp cards and see how that goes  /heh I mean you dont really have to try to see the result of it but if youre too naive then yea try it :D

Also fortessa dungeon is something you can indeed farm, but can you kindly check the cost on how much emblem for a single skeleton key and how much skeleton key is needed to get the said items? It's a lot! (but its okay if you dont know, i dont blame you, since youre probably running pit with your own circle so you dont get to experience the inefficient grind). Now, why would you do something inefficient when there's a more efficient option for you? Unless youre a masochist or something  /heh If you think farming using an inefficient route is better than the more efficient counterpart (fortessa pit) is the only way for newbies to farm the  items neccessary for min-maxing then you just proved my point on this server being very punishing to newer players.  /no1 /no1

Well, even when they're decked out on MVP cards, they would still play because they still have things to do in the game like controlling the economy and camp spawning MVPs to box out newer players from gaining access to them so they can retain their power over others   /no1 /no1 that's whats happening right now. Why do you think  people who have full mvp cards still camp MVPs? It's because they can  /no1  and if they are able to monopolize it, it means no competition in pricing, they can price it however high they want it to be, and for people desperate enough to buy one, they will have to do it via donating.  /no1 Win for the server Win for the circle of freinds and win for the wallet of the owner   /no1 but like ive said, in regards to this topic, i have no proof whatsoever so I'm just answering your question as to what benefit it would have if he ever handed down mvp cards  /no1 Maybe these players who happened to be friends with the server are just really lucky and manage to get all the mvp cards they needed to bully out newer people from killing mvps  /no1 /no1

I dont think this is relevant anymore since the ECA is already returning, so I am not sure why you are still defending this  /heh /heh this is why i didnt put it on my TLDR anymore  /no1 It seems youre being a little extra defensive by digging up older topics  /heh It's making you look more guilty  /heh /heh /heh

But like I said, from a veteran's perspective everything is fine and good! It's because you guys indeed have it good. I can clearly see why you guys like this server. I mean, if i am put into your position, having access to end game custom dungeon, can farm it on repeat, have all these MVP cards that you got from being super LUCKY with RNG! I would also love this server too  /no1 /no1 Sadly, im a new player who doesnt have any connections  /heh

Anyways since the amount of words to go through each posts is getting out of hand, from this point onwards every post I make I will copy paste my TLDR so the newer players can see it. Just looking out for my fellow new players who wants fair competition in regards to minmaxing and doing mvps :D

Pls do note that this just the opinion based on a new player's objective. If youre a player looking for a new server you can always try the server for yourself and see if it is to your liking  /no1 /no1 What I'm saying here is just something you should expect when you go into the server. In this way, you won't have any disappointments whatsoever after you realized the issues I stated are plaguing the server.

TLDR

Dude WTF? Those Veteran did never get an MVP Card from Lunar..... I mean come on dude.... Where does even donating => Getting MVP Came from? what kind of base you had? or who even friends does Lunar gave an MVP Card to? WTF Dude?? I know you hate veteran but it doesn`t have to be like this..... First of all I know some veterans here who clearly camping MVP but do they get it form Lunar? No they did not and certainly they are never getting any MVP Cards from Lunar..... They farming zeny, Instance and Camp the MVP Themselves. Those Instance MVP Card like GRP, Fenrir, R.Amda and (Formerly Infinite Phreeoni) is a very valuable trade resource for other Cards. How do you even get just because they have MVP they are getting it from Lunar?? I am here just wondering at *HOW* did you even came to the idea Lunar giveaway just because someone donated??? Are you even getting one from Lunar? There is nobody here who are getting MVP Cards from Lunar dude.... Or if you think it has then gave us some explanation at how you even think they getting that?? If you can`t answer this then you are just spouting baseless claim that have no credibility to be considered even. Or you just envy you don`t have MVP and then blaming veterans for having an MVP that they did *GRIND* for it.

Uhh.. I never once said in my post that if you donate you can get mvp cards. But good theory sir! Youre kinda spilling the beans out here.  /heh /heh  /heh thanks for slipping up!  ill keep that in mind as that maybe a possibility too. I highly doubt it though since that would make more people have mvp cards aside from just his friends  /no1

Exactly what I have said :) It means people will have to donate and sell MC in order to buy the high priced mvps from the people monopolizing it   /no1 /no1  I'm sorry i didint know I have to explain everything like explaining to a kid.  /heh /heh Please avoid posting in this topic when you have nothing to contribute in the discussion, youre just digging up another hole for the server  /heh Perhaps the reason you brought up the donate = mvp card thing is because it's something that exists as well? Otherwise you wont even think of that as an issue you have to defend  /heh

Well there you have it guys! Another issue of the server I guess  /heh

WTF? there never had been an issue where Lunar gaveaway MVP Cards for free dude. WTF?? I don`t really mind about other issue you said since I was saying in my first post that the server itself needs more player. But you can`t just disrespect someone`s effort to camp MVP and farming grind for it. Desperate and Moon Coin is the only way? No it has never been like that. There are many other optional case like farming instance with huge value Card like GRP, Fenrir, R.Amda. You are allowed to Multi Clienting and it is so fast to level up dude WTF? You can literally abuse this to get the MVP Card you Want. And sharing the gears with the class you made is also a very possible thing. Why are you saying it is impossible? If you are a troll and never been experience a grind of MVP then you have no right to say that. Also like I said where is the proof of anything about the MVP?? Where is the proof of the 1/2500 and Guy always got lucky thing?? I asked that because you seems to always avoid the question by saying having no proof and so. But the actual thing is You are only envious because you cannot get MVP with 400$ you spend (Technically you can get many good MVP such as Gloom Undernight, R.Amda or Tao Gunka with that). For GX also it is very possible to kill Gioia and Kiel in one hit with only CI and no need much elemental change. WTF are you even saying when a guy cannot compete when it is very possible to do it with a minimum gears. I had tried this in Central Lab and hey I don`t even need MVP to oneshot them at all. Though I think you posting this just because you are salty of Veterans who spend their time and effort in the server while you only want it done in first day with no progression you made or just simply wanting to troll.

Like Ive said multiple times, its just a speculation. If what you are saying is that there is a fair competition on MVP hunting in the server, then how come its only the selected few who has full mvp cards on their gears? If what youre saying is that its because "They grinded their way there" Im pretty sure at the beginning a lot of people camped these mvps but how come among the multiple players who camped mvps only the selected chosen ones are the ones who managed to obtain if not all, most of them? Isnt that itself is implying that these people have beyond normal luck compared to others who camped as well? What are the odds of only selected few who happened to be lunar's friends are the ones who got them  /no1 /hmm

Speaking of multiclienting, i remember a server i played back then who had a corrupt gm that favored his friends as well. His friends are not able to afford good PCs and couldnt multiclient but the competitors in mvp hunting are not his friends but is able to afford to multiclient. You know what that gm did? Straight up forbid multiclienting when hunting mvps  /heh  /heh pretty funny how corrupt gms turn to when it comes to making favorable conditions to their friends. Kinda like how Lunar cancelled eca so other people cant get access to eca exclusive cards anymore. But atleast it. Isnt as bad as the other corrupt gm who just straight up didnt allow multiclienting anymore since his friends cant afford good pc. Thats one thing to consider atleast when it comes to hunting mvps in shiningmoon to have a little edge vs the privileged ones. But for me? I cant afford to multiclient either so tough luck   /heh /heh

But since the people who alrdy benefitted from the eca event controls the market now, i guess he finally decided to bring it back  /no1 although at this ooint i think its a little too late since the server already bled too much population. But who cares right? As long as his friends are happy  /no1 /no1

Since you explain your reason then I will explain it to you then

1st. It is true it has fair competition on MVP Hunting but still. Have you watched how many people who camped it? Most of veterans here are truly active in the previous era like 6-8 months ago at most and then after they did have the gear they want they started to be casual gameplay and more of doing something meme build and so on. I mean those who you said selected few people are the one who is steady and take their time to camp the MVP itself. And they are not getting the MVP only by camping it. Like I said before there are other ways you can do to get the said MVP other than donating and Pit or Ruins (Ruins is not really a thing anyway even for those veterans). Some of them truly dedicated themselves not only at varmeals but also at HTF+Sarah Run and also doing a good valuable instance like FoGH, OGHH+N, 17.2 and so on. You do know that FoGH had a good value insignia selling. It reach a very expensive price if you get the right enchant even. And of OGHN+H Not only the Card is valuable but the loot itself also one thing to consider since they are materials of one of the BIS gears in SMRO (Temporal Boots, Kings Schmidt Insignia and King Schmidt Suit). Many of the players on here I saw itself is playing rather to be casual at their time and prefer to spend their time to AFK or chatting more than anything else (even most Veterans did this outside of those who are dedicated).

2nd. Multi Clienting Corruption? Dude. SMRo had been like this Multi Clienting for since the start of the server which is why in some cases there are some guy who do Racing Cap farming by themselves actually if you bother to seek out more info then you should know that it has been always like this and Lunar never forbid anyone to do multi clienting it. And this is also one way for those Veterans to get MVP Card too. Multi Run Central Lab, Infinity Space, Endless Tower, Endless Cellar and so on. And oh yeah Endless and Infinity Space also one of popular spot for farming zeny before since they drop lots of Cards and even good MVP Cards and recyclable Shadow Gears and Good Costume. Just because you cannot do Multi Clienting doesn`t mean other people cannot. There are many people here even a new players like you who did HTF or Varmeals Run by doing this.

3rd. Have you even read the comment I post above in hazy forest? Lunar didn`t remove this because his friend got MVP Card or etc. But it is because KRO remove them from their service. So it is never because his friend got fully geared MVP Card and so on. If you want to be actually like them you can and YOU have many chance to do so. Nobody forbade you to run 20x or 30x GMT for Fenrir Card or other Cards you can actually do this at your own pace. I even gave you the link for the website....... This information should be basic enough tbh......

Oh and I almost forgot there is also one of popular farming spot in Jewgoliant which also gets you a lot of zeny if you bother there. And in fact in some month ago Bolt Crusher price was literally 200m per pcs and the Dynite is also still have a good value even now since they are commonly sought by players too for enchanting or for gambling weapons. The thing is you have so many option to farm zeny and buy those MVP Cards or you can straight up compete with them. I myself have tried and guess what? It doesn`t even need to be Veterans with high gear to kill most MVP like Kiel or Gioia in oneshot. If you want to be camper you can just have Infinity Fly Wing and Convex Mirror for killing them in one skill as a GX.

It doesn`t even need to be Veterans with high gear to kill most MVP like Kiel or Gioia in oneshot. If you want to be camper you can just have Infinity Fly Wing and Convex Mirror for killing them in one skill as a GX.

Jeez its like talking to a wall /heh  /heh /heh /heh

If it's a fair competition then how come it's always the same people who are killing the MVPS and getting them?  /hmm /hmm you do know you can see the tombstone of the MVP and the killer's name in it right? Instead of posting here, why dont you check for yourself and see the names. I guarantee you, you will only see 4-5 names and all those are in lunar's circle /heh /heh It's not really that difficult to fact check your arguments tbh.

I know  lunar hasnt banned multiclienting yet which is good! Because I think that gives newer players a fighting chance when camping field MVPs. Like having multiple characters camp different spots on the map. I surely do hope Lunar doenst remove it in favor of his friends who cant do multi clienting otherwise that would just confirm the whole theory of him being more favorable to his friends than being fair to everyone

I am talking about field mvps and not instance mvps, i know instance mvps can be farmed, but if you read my posts and understand it properly, I am talking about field mvps camping and not instance mvps  /no1 /no1

I've never said in my post that there are no other farming spots. I do know there are different farming spots available, but what im refering to is the most efficient farming method. Also I did try farming dynites. but with dwindling population + lunar's friends already have the best of the best enchants and weapons,  its pretty hard to sell them honestly. I suggest you try doing these methods yourself before speaking. How do I know that you havent done this method? because by your posts, you are clearly living in a  dream world where you t hink you can compete with people in full mvp gears in  camping filed mvps  /no1 /no1

Next time, i hope you do both and I a favor and think first before posting. That way we dont have to repeat ourselves over and over and over and it will save both our precious time  /no1 your points  are weak and it's  clear that you havent even tried doing it and are just speaking in basis of your ideal  world and not in what's really happening  /no1 /no1

If you still insist on you can compete them, why dont you show me a recent screenshot of you killing a bio5 MVP like rune knight, sura chen, etc without any MVP cards in your slot and with just your average gears vs someone who have their gears maxed out.  /heh /heh /heh

tl;dr
You must have some serious mental disorder to make up so many s*** and lose literally hours posting this crap xD (not to say donating 400$ in a server in which you can get literally everything while playing)
What a bad troll.

1st. Yeah you can see the name in tomb and you can see who kills it too. But the thing is we have less player here and like you and me we know we need new players and so. But the thing is as I explain it. Most of our people doesn`t even bother to farm from the MVP itself. Most of them just farming zeny and then buy if they got the money saved or just don`t care at all. It has always been like that in the history of SMRO. I mean are you even see the people here care about farming MVP? Like I said most of them just AFK all day or they just more likely care about meme builds and so. I seen the server to know this fact. If you play here then you should know it as well. And yes this is field MVP I am talking about. Why don`t you see for yourself just how many people want to bother to farm it anyway? It has been like this even in the past since people just doesn`t really want to farm MVP and rather collecting the money to buy the said MVP. If you want an MVP and compete then do it yourself and see how the reality is. It has never been about circle Man. It is about if they want to bother or not.

2nd. For efficient farming. I never do Pit or Ruins. But I do dynites with RK decently geared enough and oneshotting them. Guess what? I can still sell Dynites and someone still buys it for their enchant gambling. You probably are just seeing the server from the outside and never look it from inside to not know this. And even sometime ago there is even AOSPONG guy and some other guy who bought this 200k per pcs. Mind you that it still is a good source of income that you can do. The fact that I sell Metal Detector I get for 75m per pcs (I got 2 from farming) is also telling that this farming is still good way to do.

Oh wow! You can farm dynites with 1shot rk! I tried that myself with bbg and event you get what? 310-330 dynites per 15mins. Thats what? 64-66m per 15mins? How long you going to farm that to afford a gioia IF someone sells you because lunar friends probably holding it to increase its value more for that need to sell MC for quick zeny  /no1

If you do pit, which i assumed you havent since youre still sticking to your highly inefficient method. You can get bsb, bbs, consumables, bubblegum for more drop rate, skeleton keys to trade for more good stuffs. Ran pit enough you get a lot BBs can spawn kiel drop card earn 15b ez.

 /heh /heh /heh

Having an alternative way means it should both be equal in efficiency  /ok

You wanna know why lunar's """FRIENDS""" have MVPs? because they actually WORKED for the MVPs they have unlike you who donated 400$ and idk expected to reach high end gear that easilly? and "wow thats a hecka coencidence because they are his friends and he gave them gear bla bla" they have gear that they worked for, like me, i am in SMRO for what, 6~8 Months? and i have 1- Good Gear 2-Can do most content 3-SPENT 0$ and then you come here saying that people's gear that they worked hard to get WAS GAVE BY THEM FROM LUNAR? honestelly if he ever gave some one something it was because of a event that you could get 1 costume of your choice, like not PvP or PvM events General events, you can go at the SMRO Forum in the event subforum and you will see, and for the MVP camping, dude its MVP of course its going to be camped if its card is good that is in any server of RO that you go to.

because they actually WORKED for the MVPs they have

Or because they suggested the exchange card album event, got it [the event] with custom increased MVP card pull rates until they got tired of the server, and then the staff discontinued that event.

That could also be a reason why they have MVPs.... right...?

/heh  /heh the gears they did worked hard for but the cards in it? hmmmm  /hmm /hmm any person with simple math skills can tell there's something quite fishy going on  /ok /ok MVP camping is fine, i agree a lot of servers have mvp campers in them. Exactly and after that, after they were able to establish themselves and made the gap huge enough between them and newer players to never be able to catch up. The server bled so much players, from 300 daily minus merchants to now what? 30-40? 100+ if you include vendors that belongs to only few selected individuals lol. So now Lunar finally decides to bring the event back thinking maybe just maybe it could entice players to come back and play  /heh /heh but I think the damage is done and the truth is out there already.

Dude... Seriously? If you want to know there is a fishy or not then you should prove it.... All of us players had been debunking your said *SPECULATION* here from long ago..... You said they are not normal because they have an all geared MVP? How long do you think they play? That`s why I asked how did you expect them to be? They put aside their RL for a game and you can`t even comprehend that or what?? I am getting confused..... Even I had already told you there are many ways to farm here...... And you just doesn`t listen seems.... Also I gave you https://hazyforest.com/events:card_exchange as why Lunar removes ECA and seemingly you just ignored it..... Well then to summarize this (Again) KRO Removed ECA that is why Lunar removed ECA in before..... What part you don`t understand?? Also you said I only farm Dynite? You are wrong. I farmed Instance Dynites and Fortessa Dungeon if any. Those I mention may not as efficient as pit but it still gave u tons of zeny. Heck dude. You have multi clients farming. Can`t you even understand how that works or what? The campers here put on their time and effort to camp and you here just farming for a little time and expect things to go on your way?? It`s not like that my Man. You got to be putting more effort than just lazing around.

This guy doesn`t even know what is dedication and just spouting something with no responsibility of proof or anything to mention. Heck he doesn`t even know how to farm zeny and straight saying it is too slow etc. And this veteran he always mention already do many things and sacrificing their RL time to be dedicated farmer and etc..... The guy lacks anything of understanding of dedication dude.

I wouldnt mind putting effort if it gives results tbh. Every mmo is like that   /no1 /no1 /no1 thats how it should be. You put your effort into grinding and you get rewarded. But its really difficult to put effort into something then you see others just breezing through it just because they have special connections  /sob

If lunar removed it because kro removed it, then why is he bringing back eca? Did kro brought it back?  /?? You see how flawed your reasoning is?  /heh  /heh

Lets face reality buddy. He removed ECA because his buddies alrdy got what they needed from it to completely push out new player and gain control of the economy and mvp cards  /no1 Now people been screaming to bring it back since he removed it but why do you think hes only doing it now? Let me educate you as to why. Its because 1. The people who already benefitted from it are now exponentially stronger compared to those who didnt. 2. Its safe to bring it back now because his friends already made a huge gap and can easily bully out competitions now. 3. The server is literally dying so hes bringing it back in effort to think that hes now suddenly being fair to everyone /heh /heh but it wouldnt matter though because the gap is there for his friends already  /no1

Uhm they might have camped mvps. But camping doesnt mean guaranteed card drops  /no1 but why among everyone who was camping it at the beginning, only those who are in lunar's circle of friends got the cards they needed to gain a huge advantage? Is it just a coincidence? I am sure at the beginning of the server a lot of people camped these mvps, but did those who camped the mvps who are not close to lunar got any bio5 cards drop or gioia drop for them? I dont think so /heh

Why do you think some server announce it when an mvp card is dropped and in shiningmoonro theres no such thing? The announcement is map only? Thats right! So he can sneakily give them out and tell others that ohhhh it dropped for me  /heh /heh

Ok ill check bone detale but i am 100% sure it will always be the same people who are killing other mvps are the names i will see in the tomb  /no1

First of all I want to reply you why ECA is back. ECA is back in term of being a reward for 230 level which is super hard because how bloated the EXP is and even with our rates it still definetely takes a more dedication to be filled. It is something the others want if you see the discord server you can see how people want ECA to be back in some way or another and Lunar listen to it. Not because his *FRIENDS* and many newbies who came also want ECA to be back. It is fair to say that many wants it to be back. Second How do you think they grind the MVP? They also start as a newbie and many of them is not even donating..... It is just in the past there are many parties that support them in a way. Like a global Fortessa Dungeons and Pit and Ruins. There are some name that giving the party live like Pichuu, Syoberry and others. They may have retired now but it is just a some person who always recruit at main and giving them a chance to get the zeny

For MVP Camping how are you even so sure that they are currently drop it or how can you even so sure if they have it right now? How do you even proof it? I just wonder about that since you say that Veteran always gets MVP right? How can you be so sure they get it from camping or they drop it easily? One of my friend used to camp Shiny Teddy for 1 year and he did not get the Card. And he was a veteran with high end gear btw.

People wanting it back since its removal why only now he decides to reimplement it? Oh i know why! Ill answer for you  /heh because his friends already control the market and players cant do s*** about it anymore  /no1

How do i know it? Its simple, they brag about it in chat  /no1 thinking that they earned it by hunting it lol they think people are naive.

Dude WTF? It is not even a year since ECA removed. It is few month after the initial idea. It is 2 month after the last ECA bruh. ECA happens a quarter month each. And tbh Lunar make it more incentive and productive for Player to get it nowadays. By leveling up why can`t you understand it? IT IS JUST 2 MONTH after a long debate between players that want it to be gone or those who want it to stay... And the one who vote for it to be exist and gone is not always a veteran bruh. Also they brag about it? Take it like this I can tell you I have Kiel from farming is it wrong? Is it wrong to have a Card they farm it with their sweat and tears to get? You never even know when is it drop, How long they have played and how do they even farm it. My friend did not get Shiny Teddy but guess what? He got Fenrir in GMT and sell the Card and then buy a Shiny Teddy Bear Card. WTF man? How can you be so negative just because you didn`t get a Card? I am curious as how you think of farming is...... Do you even ask them how long they farm it? Just because they have the Card they need doesn`t mean you cannot get a Card on your own by another method. Those said veterans also do something as farming other source to get the needed Card they wishes to. Not like all of those are from drop. Proof it to us in a detail please don`t just saying they brag and oh that is fishy. Those veterans must also have been grinding it meticulously before when they started. And i know many of these Veterans did not even donate. They farm and grind on their own.

Jesus... You seriously have a screw loose... I think you're actually beyond help.
Let's summerize this entire RMS topic... you're butthurt you didn't get what you wanted in the money you spent - you ignore everything other people tell you and still spout nonsense.

And when you have absolutely nothing to say, you respond with "Lunar's friend this. Lunar's friend that."
Since you couldn't get what you wanted, others obviously have to be cheaters since that's how it works right?

All your comments are baseless, garbage and holy s***... I think you and AriasQT might actually be related iRL.

I really wanted to stay away from this topic, because its obvious to tell after reading your responses that no matter what someone tells you, you won't accept it and most likely will respond with "Ahhh, everything gotta be corrupt". So yeah, it's pointless.

Anyways, this was probably my last response to this topic because its leading nowhere and is literally a waste of time typing to it to begin with.
But I just couldn't contain myself from writing to you and acknowledge that you're indeed one of the biggest trolls with a loose screw that I have met so far.

Good luck in your future endavour, but I hope you moved on to another server.

Sorry fam, unlike you I know all my relatives, he's clearly not one of them. There's no hidden inbreeding going on as it does in your area  /kis.

Enjoy your dying server as I told you not so long ago: no way it's gonna stay active long-term with all the custom s*** you have to make your player base "happy". I guess even with bad streamer influence it just couldn't make it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ now excuse me... gonna play RO on a server with more than 10 people; good night!

just wanted to give a nice tl;dr in case people actually use this thread as a server review.

1. Helheim was a great concept, server is now dead mostly because flooding MVP cards w/ ECA event pissed everyone off.  Refine event also sucks.
2. Don't believe streams/videos that say there's 200-300+ active players, there are not.  Used to be the case, def not true anymore.
3. I think Lunar is a good guy and I don't believe this nonsense about corruption, no evidence for that and it's very unlikely.  Truth is MVPs were obtainable through ECA event and savvy players capitalized on getting truckloads of cards to get a decent amount of MVP cards.

I'm still hopeful Lunar starts something fresh in the future and doesn't ruin it.  Really like the party play encouragement and the custom content is pretty decent too.  Although if I drop the fking bucket in the well w/o tying it off one more time ahhhh why is my character retarded?!?!? /omg

Right now shiningmoonRO is a server on my watch list, but definitely not actively play on.  If there was a new shard/server announced with no ECA event and no refine event, I would be picking it back up in a heartbeat.

Hi.
Oh boy thats alot.

i play on SM for about 2 Month now, before that i knew almost nothings about Renewal because i played on TalonRO (Pre-Re) for the past 10 Years.
i came here because i saw a youtube video praising it, and it was true what they said about it..

BUUUUUT! It's also true that the Server is bleeding players, thats not a secret, it's a topic in chat almost every day. when i started 2 month ago it was a blast, level parties everywhere, it was easy to level, now it's dead, almost no parties at all and we have an Event running with double Exp.
Maybe when the Server gets the 4th Job update it will generate enough hype but as of right now (15.06.21) it's pretty dead.
population shows Nif400 Hel600 but around 90% are Vends, some people have 10+ accounts with auto vends that inflate these numbers.

Content wise it's great, we have a mostly kRO like Server and a go crazy Server with iRO and jRO Gears (wich i play on), tons of quality of life stuff that other Servers hide behind a heavy Pay2Win Wall (looking at you Nova) and a mostly ballanced marked.

here comes the hot topic, MvP Cards: NO! you dont need anythings to get them, you can grind Zeny and buy pretty much every Card in the game, it's expensive but the option is there, you get a s*** of Bloody Branches, you can buy them for dirt cheap and use bubble gum+drop events to increase it's droprates to absurd levels. i dont see a problem here plus, some cards are cheap too, only the Top 5 META Cards have absurd high prices, the rest is easly optainable.

here is a little calculation for you: on TalonRO i had to farm 350 Hours to get 2x Megginjard for my End Build, to get a Kiehl Card on SM, it would take me around 200h and it's the #2 Card in the Game.

i dont see a problem here.

reads like: MAD CUZ WASTED MONEY QQ

HAGD Bronco.

I'll leave this here /kis https://forum.ratemyserver.net/rant-and-rave/smro!!!!!!/

Had to make an account just to put my little comment. I can know which one you are Ashe so you and your little minions can go back to your discord channel where you all try to be fake thugs. (STARES AT RUBYRIA,ELEK, ARUN AND DRUNK)

Like what OP said. This server is good at AT FIRST.. Grinding monsters (PvM server) for your gears, leveling even though there's really no people active enough to join you... Grind.. Grind... Grind... Then you slowly start to realize how much s*** this server has. Then you grind more

To be honest, most of the people here are pretty nice. You ask a question, someone answers (if there's someone online). Then there's these GEARED players who will answer you but at the same time make you feel dumb or they just straight up be sassy or troll you in the main chat with their bulls**t answers. These old/geared players are the most toxic ones who think they are privileged just coz they BOOST smRO's discord channel or friend's with ASHE (COUGHS WITH FACEMASK ON) who is RARELY ACTIVE INGAME (YES I'M LOOKING AT YOU Drunk,Tiger,Arun,Zil and the rest of the crew. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ALL ARE and i am not name dropping the rest) /ho

The GMs in this server?? lord oh lord. I don't have any complains with Nuit and Neko, both these GMs "WORK" and acts like GMs and would actually help you with your concern. Here comes this one Ashe. You can see her acting all tough and s*** on Discord, feeling all the power she has till one of her NEW FRIENDS starts complaining about something and she would be blabbing about it the whole day. YOU WILL RARELY SEE HER ONLINE UNLESS SHE JAILS VENDORS THAT ARE VENDING IN "WRONG AREAS" OF THE MAP BECAUSE SHE IS BORED AND IS BUSY AT WORK (WHAT WORK?). Go back to NovaRO where you came from and AFK there. You are a NOBODY and still is. Stick with your little doodles and maybe actually work IRL?  /heh

Elek you won't get away with this either. You know dang well you are useless just like your girlfriend Ashe. Literally chased clout because of Munbalance, became a GM and flirted with Ashe so now both y'all disappear at the same time because both of you started dramas around your friends? SHAKING MY DAMN HEAD. I'm feeling a little nice today so i won't be saying more about these dramas  /??

About this ECA event... LMAO. Removing it and changing how to obtain it 2 years after a lot of people complained when it first came out is ridiculous. THAT'S ALL I'M GONNA SAY BEFORE I ACTUALLY SPILL SOME HOT TEA.

STAY AWAY FROM THE CORRUPT HELHEIM SERVER, OR PLAY THE OTHER ONE WHERE THE NICEST PEOPLE ARE.   *WINK WINK*

Helheim: DRAMA, DRAMA, TOXIC, DRAMA

Niflheim: GRIND TO WIN, FREEDOM, NO ANNOYING GMS, DRAMA-FREE.

YOU PICK YOUR POISON.

PS: JUST WANNA SAY HI TO LOOOOONAR! HEY GIRL HEY!  /no1  /BO

STAY TUNED FOR MORE!!!! ONLY HERE AT THE INDOMIE SHOW.  /o

You do realize how dumb you sound by saying X person is Y person minion...right? theres nothing like that and i woooooonder if you even have any proof of said "GEARED PLAYERS" trolling/ loooking down on you or other people

ILL RARELY SEE HER ONLINE UNLESS SHE JAILS VENDORS THAT ARE VENDING IN "WRONG AREAS" OF THE MAP BECAUSE SHE IS BORED AND IS BUSY AT WORK (WHAT WORK?). Go back to NovaRO

But thats her's job Ashe is a S U P P O R T G M she dc's those vendors because... well, they are in wrong areas, SMRO has a Area on the main town dedicated for Vendors (@Go Vending)  placing shops in other places in fortessa or near NPCs in other towns are what you would say "Wrong Areas"

Please next time consider showing any kind of proof that X person did Y thing

-Luc

P.S: if you really know, say which person here is Ashe i would really like to know /ok

Here's one of the minion. Luc and whichever toxic guild was that (Filthy Cashews?) is the only one talking in the #main channel. "Where's Luc?!" "Where Kim" "Where that" when they are both in the same guild and in the same map. That's how empty this server is.

SHE IS A SUPPORT GM AND SO IS THE REST OF THE TEAM. One of her friends complained about it saying (Well whenever i walk pass the vendors, their pub is in the way. AGAIN,NOT GONNA NAMEDROP) and in an instant she went, "Okay i'll DC those vendors" because apparently it's on the way. THERE WAS NEVER WRONG AREAS IN THAT SERVER AND WHERE TO VEND EXCEPT NEAR NPCS. Go check Niflheim yourself.

With a server that has 100 players. As a GM, you shouldn't be focusing on that issue. Instead, advertise the server and stop kissing your friend's behind instead of pulling the server down like what she did a year ago when she got in because she was yapping with Elek.

Your name looks new so i won't even share beef with you Syb. But you do be looking stupid and irrelevant with your responses defending your GM friend and end up your reply with -Luc  We all know it's you with your loud username /no1

Clowns.... Go lick Lunar's pinky toe. Look at them patting each other's back just because they responded here. I smell private messages to get INCENTIVES  /gg
These are the same people that wanted ECA out and there's more of them :conan
