Everything said about PoisonRO is completely true..

I've enjoyed every minute spent playing. The great thing about it is it actually takes some effort to get gears and such..

The customs are super balanced and they're not all donation items, but even if they were they all just add 20 def and 20mdef, nothing overpowered.

The staff is VERY good at what they do, and they will surely never disappoint you. (and yes the grammar thing is true)

The community is SERIOUSLY friendly, that is not a lie. It's easy to pick a conversation.

I was in PvP for a bit and no one is a jerk, no one says stuff to you after or before killing you, and if you kill them they are good sports about it.

So overall, if you enjoy a balanced, friendly, anti-noob, clean RO server, join PoisonRO.

PoisonRO has to be the best server I have ever played on. I was there for 1 minute and 50 seconds, and I had already saw 2 Intern GMs,1 GM, 1 Administrator, all of them helping players and 1 of them making an event. They are all very helpful. They are very good with the job they do. Like Plague said, everything that has been recently said about PoisonRO is very true.

Come try us out today!

SilverStream~

The gm's try to be on as much as possible, also they have one or so that is -almost- constantly on, checking to see if someone else is on, so they can log out.

Not to mention, if one of the Admins isn't on, they're most likely Scripting or sleeping :D

Very good to know?! :P

Really? They don't go out or spend time with their friends? :<
Poor admins.

not sure if this is the right place - but i have some general questions (trying not to judge - no right/wrong answers here)

I am curious. Why does Admin/Owner of server closes/sell his/her server, and then a few weeks later start a new one?

I mean, there could be a multitudes of reasons,... perhaps the situation "changed"; he/she thought he/she will be too busy and unable to maintain a server and suddenly had some free time, or some friends convinced them to join up as partners, thus requiring less time, the old server was just not working out - decided to start from fresh, perhaps it was the right time to cash-in, etc...

I heard PoisonRO is closely associated with ScythreRO. They were not the first. A few severs falls under this category. Just curious, why?

This is not the right place for that.

IIRC Zarik left due to the number of players leaving the server, then I guess he decided to start "brand anew"
And question, how much is PoisonRO's population?

It depends on the time. We had 44 earlier, now we have 25.

I would like to update my review. I became a GM in April. I made that review when I was a player. As a GM I see things differently and I would like to talk about those points.

Server Stability & Availability: 9
The server started on April 15th. I joined on April 17th, since I've been at PoisonRO, the server has been down twice due to players force crashing it. The Admins found out who it was and that problem has been solved. It has not been down since. @mail and @refresh have been disabled to prevent duping, to maintain fair play and happiness among the players. I have not lagged on this server at all, the server is located in Texas, so I've heard people from the Philippines complain about lagging, but I never lag.

Community: 9.5 Every server has that one person who joins just to cause problems. We've had them, but right now we don't have any trouble makers. The community is very friendly and they even give tours to new comers. I've seen some guilds offer guild events after WoE and even pay salary to their members.

Game Masters 9: Right now we have 2 Admins, 2 Game Masters, 2 Staff, and 1 Intern. Our Intern applications are still open, so if we find the right people who get promoted, we will have more Game Masters. As I said, I'm one of the game masters. I live in the USA and the other Game Master lives in the Philippines, so usually every player will see a game master on. I give this score a 9, because we could use some more Game Masters in my opinion.

Economy:10 There is always people selling, buying, and trading. The usual currency they use is MVP cards, Event Coins, and Customs.

Guild Competition 8: WoE is when we have our max amount of players on: 64. I usually see 3-4 guilds rushing for 3 castles.

Class Balance 9: S h o & Kit put a lot of work into this. Cards were edited/disabled, items were disabled, classes were edited to make sure every class is balanced. A lot of players don't say it's not all the way balanced yet, but we are always taking suggestions.

Statement: Like I said in my original post, I USE to server hop like crazy, and me being at PoisonRO for almost 3 months and not having a second thought means a lot.

Making Liin a GM is one of the best things PoisonRO could've done. Liin is on daily, either helping players, hosting events, or moderating the forums. Probably the best GM in Poison.

Hutchy

It's probably that 12+ hours a day thing.

Annihilate

@Thread starter: Well i think what youre saying is true, but there are a few things that made me leave poisonRO with 30 minutes into the game:

1. For Asian IP's, the lag can be unbearable. I know we cant just blame PoisonRO's admin for that, but that is a fact which I had a hard time dealing with. I tried using tracert and checking my ping and even asked my brother who lives a couple of thousand miles away to check it[cos maybe my ISP is bad]  and we got the same results. So i wouldnt recommend it for asian players in general. Most of the packets coming for SE Asia are sent all over the world, going round in circles.

2. The economy is practically non-existent, but I guess thats how it is for most HR's.
