yes looks like it, and vista made a big deal off it.

Mewi

Just looks like another overly sensitive microsoft blooper(slash)admin error ;p

And wow... you certainly have alot of search bars for one browser ;p

thats why i'm not going to Vista until all these problems are resolved....XP works fine. The security on Vista is bleh.....having to click ok everytime you wanna do anything.

Yes it's junk, i have it came with my laptop ><.  Actually I turned off that god damn windows defendent and  those ram eating monsters such as the transparent window bar and that application scroll thingie it's a lot better now.  But still can't compare with XP.

And bad news for you, they are not selling XP anymore in an attempt to force everyone to vista.  But it's okay if you want a copy when XP is in it's final stage don't worry it's the internet we are in.

Well, bad news is , yes XP is no being developed. Good news is Windows 7 is due for beta next year so we can all skip Vista hell.

On a side note, this doesn't mean XP is ending, I still know plenty of companies still using Server 2000. lol.

You're one slick gal, JJJ.

WV is really behind on Microsoft's plan to remove XPs from the market, then. o_OA WalMart here in town is still selling them, at the exact same price as Vista - roughly $200.

Guess which one is selling faster. xD

All the same, yes, Vista's defensive system is very frustrating. I loved the concept, hated how they went about it.

I'm kind of depressed that they just won't fix Vista's problems. xD They're perfectly aware that Vista is so annoying that it makes people prefer the older version, so why not go around and fix that, instead of removing a perfectly viable source of income for the company? It doesn't make a lot of business sense. oO; So their product was a failure. Do they really think that removing the product that countless people like, use, and continue to buy will actually do the company any good?

Hell, I still keep contacts with my old school's technician, and their considering getting a contract with Linux to avoid having to sign a contract to get the Vista upgrade in a year or two. xD

o god most laptops come with Vista now......its hard finding a new one with XP but Dell has them....I got a Laptop from Dell that was specifically made for XP in December i was lucky cause i wanted the PC to be made for the OS just to keep things runnng smoother.

XP works just fine the only good thing in Vista.....is really just how it looks and some newer features

The way things are going Vista will take atleast a year or 2 to start working properly.....thats assuming they don't stop selling it.

Actually, if you have Firefox 3, it'll just block the page.  It's not only a Microsoft only thing, it's a security feature in most modern browsers.

On a side note, people who complain about Vista have never used Vista before.  Back when XP was released, we said the same thing about XP.

.sigh finally a smart person responses. You all say Vista is all that bad but have you even used it? and that error is not a Vista error I don't know who claimed that it was, but ok let me clarify it is -not- a Vista error! as rito stated it's in fact a modern browser security feature.

and as for Windows Xp you all are praising it like it never had issues lol I would know what problems it had it had worse issues than vista did in the start so I don't get what you problem is >_>

Regards,
Shinn.

cause after all the drama, I still slain em.

Vista. Ain't Terrible guys. Its alot easier and funner to use. Just make sure you have enough ram to run it smoothly ram shouldn't be a big deal since its cheap.. Im only using 2gb of ram and its running sweet better than xp. Also I find that all my games work with Vista.

Also Mac is crap.. For the consumer. People think microsoft is evil Apple is. They don't allow anyone but themselves to make computer parts for macs without sueing them first. I know a few people who have macs and DON't use the mac os they use Vista because of its capability for games. (through dual booting)

Most people who love macs havn't even been on one they just like. Oh its from the guy who made the Ipod/Iphone its the best there is and no doubt.

I have to use it, and i am complaining.   ::)

Apple isn't all that good too.  Of all the Apples products I only bought the newer version of the shuffle, 1gb, less than $100 investment and I am already decided to stay away from them.

The mp3 player itself is nothing bad, the thing I can't stand is the stupid iTune.  To add songs to the shuffle, I have to install iTune, to install iTune I need quickTime.  I uninstall quickTime as soon as i installed the OS, I hate it so much and they force me to install it back.  Also with iTune they like to manage your mp3 for you, guess what I just like my folder and stuff why they have to put their hands on my stuff.  iTune like to make a copy of everything I ever uploaded to the shuffle.  Now that's taking up more harddrive space that necessary.  Why can't it just be a plug and play thing like any mp3 players out there ... samsung .. creative etc where I can just see it appear as a drive and then copy and paste files into it.  Think about it, it's the shuffle I am talking about, there is no LCD display whatsoever ... so why I have to have that iTune to rename my file to the right artist, right name etc.  Junk ...

You can disable the security prompt.
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> System Configuration -> Tools tab -> Disable UAC
You can also reach the advanced Windows Firewall settings that way through Administrative Tools.
