MuspelRO -email mining this site and spamming for members

I agree with Riotblade on the companies who do sell your e-mail's, kinda funny he brought that up actually.

I would love to see the proof in your accusation, because I for one, have 7 gaming e-mail accounts, and have not gotten any emails from MuspelRO, though I have gotten e-mails from a server that died who sold them...but thats off topic.

Anyways, before you start accusing, you need proof to back you up, or your going to get @ss r@ped by alot of the community here. Have you ever thought about a keylogger in your computer? Because there are actually people who keylog peoples computers, get their emails, make big lists, and sell them. So even typing it in and backspacing it, makes it so they can get your email, or use it for personal use. (which explains why they got your "e-mail account you never use except for RMS rating", which I do highly doubt, but this is the alternative).

I never said anything about RMS giving or selling our e-mails'. I'm just saying I got the e-mail too.

Umm, no I'm not MCSA and CCNA certified for nothing. I know damn well there is a better chance of hitting the pick 6 lottery 5 times in a row than for me to get keylogged by some script kiddie with a key logger kit. My network is so secure that even if a fly farted on the Cat6 cable my firewall would detect it. Now while that whole keylogger stuff was funny back to the topic. I know other companies sell your information and thats why I use throwaway emails. I have an extremely large pool of yahoo/gmail/hotmail accounts as well as the tempinbox.com plug (as used for my forum account here). If I don't trust the place they get a junk email that I never use for anything. The same goes for RO servers, all the RO servers I've played on as long as they didnt send a code they got an email like [email protected] if they required a code thats when tempinbox would come in to play. My review account is the only place that knows about that email and I get spammed it makes you wonder how that crappy POS server got that email.

So lets recap.

1) The admins are extremely defensive of this server
2) Questionable ethics of the Admin team
3) NO ONE besides RMS knew about that email address
4) I've had that address for a long time so its not like it was just picked up from a unused pool
5) The Admins besides being defensive are also being protective of this server, even if they didn't give out the email isn't spamming for members breaking part of your TOS? I still see them listed despite others saying they have gotten spammed.
6) Its highly probable that someone gave this server a random list of emails and thats why the Admins aren't getting the spam, I mean what kind of idiot Admin would give their own email to get spammed?

I understand where you're coming from and how you don't like getting spam, but really isn't this like a wild goose chase? Why not just delete the mail and move on? I get spam all the time, I don't particularly like it but I delete it and forget about it ^_^;

No you are wrong.  You knew it.  Your computer knew it.  Your ISP knew it.  Your browser's auto-complete function might have it in memory as well.  If you ever checked your mail in any third party computers, that third party, the third party's ISP will know it.  The list goes on and on ...

As you said you have the email for a long time, I wonder how many other entities know about it.

Again, what where why how are we being protective and defensive.  We are protecting and defensing our site.  Anyone come up claiming stuff like you do, we will tell them the same thing.  We do not and will not give or sell your personal information to anyone.

Under our ToS, spamming server's RMS link in unauthorized area is prohibited.  Server's website is the server owner's own property, we have no control over where the owner spam/advertise it.  If RMS have to govern every spam by any server, we would be very busy.

If that was the case(RMS selling our E-mails). It would have been happening for alot longer then this. RMS has been around for ahwile so don't be so quick to blame them. I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt seeing how helpful they have been these past few years.

And also why did you get so butt hurt over this Shadow? It's not a big deal, especially if you made a junk email for this site. It's not a big deal. I could understand if it were 500 Spam e-mails but it's only 4. Stfu and move on with your life...
