Would You Play On A Mean Server?

so im wondering if there was a server that had:

• lots of skilled players
• huge active woe
• tons and tons of players
• opened just recently
• the rates and features you wanted (most of them anyway)

and i no that sounds all nice and dandy but heres the catch!
the people on this server are:

• horribly mean
• horribly racist and sexist
• love to flame/insult/troll
• are totally imature
• and the GM's seem to let them get away with it

so the question is WOULD you play on a server like that or not?~

xD Sadly, I agree with Albiero's comment on it sounding like iRO Chaos. The sheer immaturity of iRO's servers was what originally made me move to private servers.

Honestly, it depends on your vision of horribly. I don't have major issues with racial or sexual jokes, as long as everyone knows its a joke / thinks its funny. If they're all like this, then everyone probably has no issues with it, so thus, there isn't a hell of a lot of problems. xD I honestly haven't heard a sexual or racialthat made me feel like it had a right to feel like an insult. Just a really retarded stereotype.

Flaming, insulting, and trolling? Pfft. Gives me a reason to laugh. xD Again, no one has serious insulted me to the point where I've been effected since I was about eight or so.

Immaturity was what you get when you play RO. As for the Gms, well... if everyone is like this anyway, then they would have simply closed down the server if they didn't want this kind of atmosphere, which is all ready too deeply seeded in the server to be dealt with? =P

I'd still probably not join. Why? Because if they're insulting you left and right, while you can laugh and find it funny, it's really too difficult to make any friends in that kind of environment. RO's no fun without a friend or two to play / enjoy the game with / talk to.

I don't mind all those but my concerns would be:
1. does the server handle well with tons of player (latency wise)
2. having tons of players on a newly openned server sounds fishy
If both my concerns are negatively satified then NO, I wouldn't.

    * love to flame/insult/troll - this can be subjective, so 50/50 chance
    * are totally imature - absolutely a NO NO
    * and the GM's seem to let them get away with it - absolutely a NO NO

If it involves hate towards sex, religion, race and ideology... I'm never going to join such a server. I won't even bother going near it...

absolutely not.  i just recently ran into this problem on what was perhaps one of my favorite servers.  The level of immaturely got so bad i started a guild expressly for players tired of dealing with it.  Instead of respecting this, the most immature players all joined the guild (alt char) specifically to harass myself and the other members who where trying to just play the game.  Eventually, i had to shut the guild down and leave the server.  The tragedy is the GM is otherwise a great guy and ran some of the best events i have ever seen.  The man was a genius, and the petty dramas these people started just wreaked it completely, at least for me. 

In short, NO i would never join a mean server.

I would refuse to play on a server which ignores the new characters simply because they aren't at the same level...

MMORPGs are about playing with others.
Unless you only care about PK and going against others solo, you will hardly be able to team up with anyone in a server with that kind of people. Playing alone like everyone else is the death of an MMORPG, you may as well go pick a single-player game and enjoy the plot.

lol im not talking about them joking about it im talking they just want to piss u off cause they seem to think its fun when ppl get mad..... almost none of their insults are ment to be jokes but simply to put you down and them up (which i still dun get how does making lil kids cry make u feel better?)

lol it's easy to run a 50-100 playing bots in one rig... so who knows
