Just a random note and i really dont even care but how does Excellence RO (#1 ranked high rate) have a median pop of 180 and 205 reviews. Thats as many as talon but talon has like 7x the population. Something is fishy.

Does not necessarily mean anything. TalonRO is around for a long time, so the percentage of players willing to refresh their review every 6 months isn't actually that high.
Also when a secret is struggling for more population, players get more willing to help by posting reviews.

If you think something against the rules happens then link to the corresponding thread where they offer rewards for reviews.

Technically most server are rewarding coin/point with the vote system.

But as most GM are scammer or greedy, they trend to make the vote system a disruptive element in the game.
In Dreamer and Talon, vote give you small item that are pratical but cost few clicks. So you won't need to vote for 30 days to get some gear or item.

The main error private server do , is enslave their communauty as fast as possible. Methods prefered scam, RMT, ingame coin, etc...

In the end private server are struggling between the cost of running a server and the methods to get money.

There was a lot review deleted from that server because blatant use IGN word that signify something fishy.

To be honest I am 99.8% sure they somehow cheated to get to rank #1..They managed to get to rank #1 with 80 players online (according to website) half of them are probably merchants like every other server...so lets say 40-100 player base managed to get 200+ reviews? Too fishy.

Unfortunately I don't have proof because I never cared enough about the issue to search for the proof. I didn't want to download their server and check how or if they were breaking any rules..

In any case..they have been #1 all server listing for 2 months or so? and their population has remained stagnant.. what does that tell you?

You can cheat all you want..if the server itself doesn't have worthy content or if it is not stable..people will leave and try another server. Eventually they will fall like the rest of the cheaters.

It's sad though, if you look at any topsite right now, all of them are infected by vote bots..there are servers with 30-150 players getting as many votes as Talon and Dreamer (supposedly)


Ratemyserver is the closest to a "fair" top list but in no way perfect.

I've been noticing this, too. Although the only ones that I can seem to find cheating this way are Rebirth and Forsaken. Did you find any others?

Well you got two of the main ones, there are about 3 more in the top 10. I did not want to list them because I didn't want to give them any free publicity. Those servers should concentrate more on making their server better instead of cheating to gain new players. No point in attracting new players if the server is going downhill.

Yeah, I'm sure tons of people create fake RMS accounts using proxies and leave more than 1 review for their server. Not much that can be done about that I guess that's why Excellence RO is still #1.

I'm sure yC takes good care of the ratings, but sadly, no evidence = no case.

Dunno about the others but Rebirth, and any server Syphon owned in the past or will own in the future, is obvious since he owns one of the tops.

Evidence is in the IP address and location/person and this forum is filled with programmers so it's not hard to get it (not I though).
