What kind of server is the best?(Low, Mid, High, SH)

I'm thinking about starting a server but i wanna hear all your opinions. What kind of server is the best? What rates do you guys like?(base/job/item) What max lv do u want?(jlevel/blevel) Do you want it to have customs or not? and add anything else you want from a server. THNK YOU FOR THE HELP ^_^

imo the best is simply a 1/1/1, 99/70 server =P

as for custom i dun care so long as there not over powered

I personally prefer low rate. But I think what's lacking right now is mid-rate, a few people are looking for mid-rate servers to play casually but have a hard time finding one that fits their need.

I like Mid-Rates. They are perfect for people who want leveling to be relatively challenging but not agonizingly long like Low Rates. Also the max levels and stats keep close to the original 99/70 so its more likely that mid/lowrates are more balanced than high/super-high rates. Trouble is, like Pandora said, is that there are hardly any left (or they just dont advertise enough). I'll be in UnderworldRO if you need me.

But honestly gamehiyuu, think about it carefully, do you really wanna open a server? It's a huge responsibility, make sure you think it through carefully.

Mid Rates. Why? Well, some people feel leveling in Low Rates takes an eternity (guilty  ), but do not like the class unbalance present in many High and Super High Rate servers. Mid Rates are like... high rates without the class unbalance. I like them, although they're a dying breed. I particulary like mid rates with 150 - 200 as max LvL. But, the only mid rate server with these rates and many players is Essence RO (200 - 400, its going to get wiped though). I'll decide between RO Saga and Scion RO, as both have the same potential that eRO has.

A server in between x15 - x35 in exp rates, with something between x10 - x20 in item drop rates are probably my most enjoyed ones. n_n; Leveling is still just hard enough where you have to spend some time on it, but it's not all that tough. =P So, almost anyone can reach the 99/70 cap. I also prefer that said cap. It makes builds more viable and sexy. As for drops... well, any higher than ~50x for me is kind of over-doing it, and I found that x20 is probably the safest for easy item obtaining without making it too simple.

I like high rates for the acrade-like feel every now and again, though. xD It's strangely enjoyable.

How about because the actual monsters are challenging? I know shocking concept! Or was your idea that the challenge was being able to stay awake while grinding? :p

actually 1x/1x/1x is great if you can get a population... but some people like to play builds like fs priest, alchie, or professor, and those are a pain in the donkey to level if there's nobody around to party with.

For me, after trying out official and discovering it is way more fun, 5x is almost too high. So I'd go with, anything under 5x.

But drops have to stay at the same number or higher.... it sucks to be on something like 5x/5x/3x, so you're not making enough money to cover your equip as you level.

I enjoied A LOT 1x/1x/1x in the time that my country officials went paid, but after making a support bard that couldn't find a guild due to lack of dancers(There were a guild that wanted me to join, but I needed level 90+, But couldn't join, explain later on), I had to solo dungeons like stings and alarms for a long while, burning Blue Pots and Flywings like hell, with DS. When I hit 90, that guild guy told me that I could join, but that the guild was disbanding due to the Guild Leader joining other server, I asked other guilds, they said they were full of priests already and did not needed any other support. So, I thought, "I will be better as a priest!", so I made a acolyte, damn, those were the best RO times, I had a great party with everyone, I got a guild, I was paid  A LOT to keep making portals for a hour (Moar likely 500k per day), I've met a lot of people and when I finally hit Joblv 50, server wipes due to GM had been giving items around(the OLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Project RO, if you remember, around 2004?), there were a major nickstealing(3 EnjoyfulT, [my bard that kept in town most of time talking with people]) and everyone that I met moved servers. Sure, there still people that I talk a lot, but I couldn't find MSN of most of people in my guild.

TL;DR: Wipes Blow.

Any rate is good, I just want something new. If your server have 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001 Rates, but have a nice partying system and everything customized to be fun and not shocking, then I'm joining. If your server is 99999KKKKK, but nothing new, bye.
