Not having a resetter is fine. It's a matter of taste. There are many who think it's necessary, but at the same time there are also many who prefer not having one. Not having a resetter has the advantage that people are more individual as everybody has his own build. Nobody will just simply change the build. It adds strategy to WoE/PVP as knowing your enemy build becomes an advantage.

For PVE however, people will usually prefer having a resetter as it mainly gives advantages there. Like you can switch your build to one that's actually needed in the party. So people can easily level up with a solo build and then just switch to party build when they want to party up. The only disadvantage is that partying outside of "close to max level" becomes almost impossible because all the people will level up solo (though partying was ruined by the addition of Anubis anyway).

Make Card -> point NPC then change the resetter to use point / item from there. Adjust the cost with card drop rate to reasonable price like at 0,5% 5 card for skill reset , 7 card stat reset and 10 card for reset both. Its better than slapping million zenny just for reset.

I'm against resetting because of how easy it makes leveling. You can be whatever you need to be to level. So classes that took a lot of effort to achieve, full brew creator, were extremely tedious but making them gave the player who did it an advantage but with a resetter, players can switch between Acid Demo/Bomb and have no issues leveling up. I don't want to make it easy for people and this solution is not that much better. If the card drop were half a percent, statistically, 200 kills is a card and farming ant eggs, you can get 72, I think, kills every minute and a half. Resets would be easier to get than with zeny requirements, seeing as how my server would be a 3x drop for most drops.

I would prefer no resetter but it seems I may lose too many players than a server needs to survive to go without one, which is unfortunate.

Can somebody please explain why they don't like autoloot? LOL.
If a mob dropped 5 items, @autoloot saves you 5 clicks plus longer mouse lifespan.

I also do not like resetter, there are so many things/memories player will miss on having resetter at their server.  /no1

As I wrote earlier:
Quote1. Ranged classes get an unfair advantage.
2. It causes inflation because most players take the items to sell to NPC while without autoloot many rich player just leave them on the ground.
3. Greed skill becomes useless and so becomes the reason to take a crafter blacksmith with you (unless he pays you).
4. Looters mobs, which are quite a core mechanic of RO, become pointless. It shifts the balance too. And no OABs from Zenorcs.

wat.  If you have a s*** stat build in WoE then your char will be s*** compared to people with a character built around WoE.  No serious woe guild will want a 45 vit bio in their guild or a 80 INT/VIT HW.

I don't really see what this has to do with the topic. You can create a good build for WoE even without resetter, it just takes more effort to create one.
(But I can't say I like that kind of elitist guild behavior.)

Triper

Afaik, if players wish to WoE at a serious level, they make a WoE char AND a PvM char. You can make one for both grounds but you can't do it for every class without loosing "something".

Sideways George Clooney

lol you can just leech your characters/lure with your pure woe character, it doesn't matter whether you have a resetter or not because people will make woe builds regardless, it'll just make it more of a pain

how is wanting someone to be well-built "elitist"?

Remmi

Not a mandatory for me. I've enjoyed playing other games (still playing some whenever I can) that has no autoloot.
