Short story short, GM Boreas and this random dude (let's call him "X") were talking about why X got mute/ban.... GM Boreas offers to ban player X instead of mute (they were just arguing about some word usage, I think), but player X declines. That's where I join in, asking whether I could get temporarily banned in-game (This may seem ironic right now but read on). After a few minutes pass, I basically just got kicked from the discord server without any notice (I didn't ask to be kicked from the discord server). I was only able to get these screenshots by making a second account because i got IP banned. Here are the screenshots of the whole thing:
I played on and supported this server for many years without breaking any rules, so it's very dissapointing to be treated this way.

For real though. Sorry they just banned you out of the blue after what looked like an innocent enough discussion.
That one dude sounds like a jerk for calling you an "attention whore" when you were just curious why you weren't allowed a temporary ban for personal reasons.
Maybe there's more to this story than you're letting on. Maybe a GM needs to chime in.
No clue what's your problem to be honest. We do not ban people when they ask us for it, that was all a joke on DIscord and everybody understood that. Lol
If you don't want to play on the server anymore then submit a ticket and we can delete your accounts. However, nobody can expect us to offer a temporary ban service. O_o

Either way, someone with the ability to kick from discord did it.
Discord does not have a feature to IP ban even, you can just ban an account. Maybe that implies IPs, but I wouldn't know about that.
In any case, I did not kick and not ban you. No clue who did or why.
That's the case, if you ban someone it blocks the IP too.
If you want to know who banned me you can check the audit logs on discord.

If you are banned from a discord server, it also IP bans you so you can't make a second account and hop back in - unless of course you are using a vpn - that's just how discord works in general.
Looking into this further, why not go onto the TalonRO forums and post there? I feel like you would get a faster response instead of a public forum like this where TalonRO mods/admins don't monitor on a daily basis? Looking even further into it, they have support tickets. How was this not your first course of action??
Also lol - lesson learned the hard way to not mess around with an admin? And why are the screenshots such low resolution?

So you don't even care that I got kicked from your discord server? You now know how to check who kicked me and yet you aren't doing anything at all - that's not a very good image for the server.

I don't expect them to check daily, that's why I asked for an update after a week. I decided to post here so that it can be seen by the public. Addionally, I think that it's quite obvious that sending a support ticket to the people responsible for kicking me out for no legitimate reason would just be pointless in itself. What stops them from just abusing their admin privaleges on their own platform?

I want to further summarize/outline the situation below:
I have been banned from the TalonRO discord without a legitimate reason - just moments after the conversation in the screenshots that I provided.
Boreas said it wasn't him, and so I gave him a means to check who it was using discord audit logs (if you don't know how, just google it) - he ignored this; so now I'm speculating whether he lied, or he's protecting whoever did kick me.
There has been abosolutely no incentive on their end to sort this out.
Man I went to RMS to do an item search and saw this thread linked. I registered an account just to post this.
Honestly OP, from what I'm seeing here, I'd encourage you to consider their account deletion offer more favorably. Everyone's heard stories about how toxic talonRO is, but it's really insane to see these screenshots and then see (apparently?) talon staff responding to this thread the way they did.
I have to go through a play-by-play here to even believe what I'm reading:
1. GM mutes clearly annoying player
2. annoying player contests mute in discord in an annoying manner
3. GM blatantly escalates issue instead of responding productively
4. GM indulges in publicly insulting the annoying player he discord-banned for an exchange that he provoked
5. unprofessional indulgence is met with the jeering of sycophants
6. unrelated second player with a personal issue tries to segue to his issue with a joke
7. entire population of a "community-support" channel elects to dogpile on the second player
8. second player remains polite
9. [sycophantic jeering intensifies]
10. unknown second GM discord-bans polite second player
11. second player takes newfound issue to another platform
12. GM shows up to ignore every single issue presented
13. second GM shows up to help ignore every single issue
Did I miss anything? Because I'm struggling to imagine how this could have been handled worse. MMOs like RO are notoriously hard to distance yourself from, especially when you have personal issues that suggest distancing yourself from them. One GM temp banning a player citing personal issues is trivially easy and takes much less staff time/effort than multiple GMs escalating public disputes, banning half the discord, and dropping monologues after the fact.
I'd actually be less surprised at this point if they made that first toxic player a GM instead of banning him. Absolutely nutty. This game is older than your server's staff acts.
OP, the offer on the table isn't what you asked for, but it might be what you want long-term.

I have always believed in matching the solution to the problem, and harming one's targets more than oneself.
If one finds the forums to be poorly managed, one can avoid using the forums.
If one finds the Discord to be poorly managed, one can avoid using the discord.
I personally would say that it is only if one finds the game itself to be poorly managed that one should avoid using the game.
(Edit: Or, of course, if using the game conferred some benefit on someone you did not wish to benefit, or otherwise caused some effect that you did not wish to cause. Such a scenario doesn't seem to apply here at all.)
Now, don't get me wrong, there are some retarded game-management decisions that have taken place in the past, but I think that OP might harm his own enjoyment more than any other target by denying himself access to the game program (on a permanent basis) based on malfeasance - however blatant - which is limited only to discord or forums or anyplace outside the game.
