Pretty much advertisement, as Pandora said.
br s*** is a bad hosting company indeed.

And uh,  i can get free hosts too. =/
And i dont develop for eA.

You bastards should, better to get hosting from doing good for the RO server community than having naked pictures of server hosters (and just HOW did you get those anyway :p)

Now I really don't understand why you would spend money on advertising...isn't donating to support the server not so that some stupid kid goes "oh wow that yellow heRO banner is really nice, I'll try out that server!".

Of course why there are banners to servers on a site ABOUT finding servers strikes me as totally stupid and now that I think about I totally hate this site....

Man I didn't expect this topic to lead in this direction...

Funny, i actually said "s h i t seminplace" and my post was edited to that and later edited again the whole line was removed.
Its funny how moderators work on this community, not a single word of warning.

IdealRO's...

Game server (http://74.86.28.218/phpsysinfo/) - $249 per month
Development server (66.79.165.28) - $130 per month
Website Hosting (http://75.126.26.96) w/ Dedicated IP - $20 per month
Website Design (http://idealro.com/images/2isgkkh.jpg) - $175
Patch server (ftp://x.idealro.com) - $10 per month
Invision Power Board (http://idealro.com/forums/)- $125

Game Server Information (http://74.86.28.218/phpsysinfo/)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We rent this CentOS 4 server from Softlayer which provides premium bandwidth to North America, Canada, & Europe. They have internap for Asian countries, however, the distance causes the lag for players located on the other side of the world. This datacenter is located in Dallas, TX.

Development Server Information (66.79.165.28)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We rent this Windows Server 2003 from Coloalacarte which provides premium bandwidth to South America, North America, & Canada. This server is accessible by Remote Desktop Connection & allows developers of IdealRO to create their work fast & easy with a 100MPS Uplink to Global Crossing/Internap/Level 3/Verio premium bandwidth.

Website Hosting Information (http://75.126.26.96) or (http://www.idealro.com)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We rent this reliable & fast web host from KevHosting which provides the same quality as Softlayer, allowing North American, Canadian, & European players to access premium bandwidth. By adding on the dedicated IP, it allows us to rent a SSL license for https://. This is because we wish to protect user's data with our customized Control Panel & the merchant authorized donation system which encrypts credit card & personal information when entered. (Even Safer Than PayPal, we guarantee that since Merchant Accounts are superior to PayPal & we have a coder who provides quality work)

Website Design Information (http://idealro.com/images/2isgkkh.jpg)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We asked for a design from Aqua who is a personal friend of mine who has done sites for me before. This design will hopefully attract new players and allow us to express what we believe this server is. We believe this server is going somewhere, that's why we've invested so much and asked Aqua to follow our Blueprint we drew. Blueprint (http://www.idealro.com/blueprints/idealrolayout.JPG)

Patch Server Information (ftp://x.idealro.com)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We rent this patch server from KevHosting because they offer premium & fast bandwidth while allowing great anonymous FTP service which allows us to run our nicely customized Patcher. We distribute patches the same way gravity does it & our patcher is based on theirs. We distribute by GPF & RGZ, we do not use NeonCube or Traid... or any unofficial patcher.

Invision Power Board Information (http://idealro.com/forums)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We decided to buy a license for IdealRO because we want to be known as a server which does everything legally. We believe that by offering our players a premium service, allows them to fully experience the fun of Ragnarok Gaming.

We're still in pre-release... but me & my partner have high expectations for our future server. We both do not play RO, we're just here to give players a good & clean play. We have accepted $0 in donations & we intend on keep 'custom' items +5 def ONLY. We have a low population of people, but we're sure to get more once we've finished scripting our NPC's and our new web control panel.

Enjoy.

Anti-Static Foam Cleaner

Wow, now that's an answer.
So it's 250 bucks for a server huh(Other stuff you can do without, probably). How many players could it hold?

(Also it's amazing, I didn't know about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_Ipsum)

Keropi

I'd say we can hold a minimum of 1.5k players. DarkRO has held more with 4GB of RAM before, but I don't wanna overestimate.

You'd be surprised at how many people join and in their intro section mention they saw our heRO banner while looking for item/monster on RMS and thought it looked nice and gave it a try.

People donate to help the server, advertisement brings more players, thus its positive for the server. Like I said, I'm upfront about what I do with the server's money, it's all listed on the forums and I haven't had any of my donators come up and say it's not a good idea to advertise.

+ I love RMS, it's the only place I advertise on, top100/200 are too rigged.
heRO is a great friendly, pre-renweal, unique and fun server with a great community, give it a try!
