To all server owners , I warn you all against a retard called "igniter" who likes to devastate your servers D:

I refused to give him items , and now he threatens me with shutting down my server , posting and sending crap bout my server to RO server listers & i believe he tried to hack into my server once

I wouldn't worry about him "hacking" your server. Usually, anybody who has the skills needed to do anything harmful would have better things to do with their time.

My server got hacked by an anonymous hacker and no one except a few people from Blackout Ro and my friends allgedly knew about it. Then again, the people on Blackout Ro hate my guts for originally no reason, and then becuase I said bad things about them (then again what I've said is true so if they're mad, tough luck, it's reflection time XD) /meh I moved on, found a new server to help out. I'm actually bored with Ro.

Depends if your server is properly defended. Anyone can royally screw a server running old software.

they can roytally screw ones with new software too. Believe me, I made an up to date server and someone nailed me still x_x If someone hates you enough, doesn't matter if they could/should be doign something else, they can still screw you up no matter how good your firewalls and how update your server is. Some hackers are payed by the government to bipass as many as 5 firewalls or fewer upon warrant colleciton in order to catch people such as sex slave dealers and child molesters so as to collect evidence, close the smuggling ring, etc. It is true most hackers mind their own business, but some do enjoy fragging places, especially since SEVERAL of them have short fuses (part of the reason they hack). you can have a seemingly normal player behaving (oddly enough with maxed stats and such though) and then someone ticks him off and boom, missing data, server corruption, etc. Plus, there ARE hackers that can be payed to do stuff like this. Jsut becuase he's threateneing to hack you, doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be him in specific. I know a few people who can hack e.O I could probably even persuade one to nuke a server if I wanted, but that is often times illegal and thus I avoid it... I don't wanna wind up in prison XD;

Yeah, I highly doubt any hacker who is being payed by the government to track down child pornographers is going to mess around with any RO servers...

You just gotta be careful. Most small servers are very vulnerable because they're not really defended. All those servers run by someone on their own personal computer can easily be fragged by just about any script kiddy.
