first you must know the full truth, like everyone that plays on the server still doesnt know that this is still going on.
the official IRO-Gravity has been trying to close euphro because it has been breaking the law, and has been fruad ever sense its been taking donations.
euphro has been using all of its donation money not on the server, but yet for personal use and drugs, which is why the server was shut down the first time, euph was using all the money for drugs. (which was estimated to about 100-200 thousand bucks a year.)
the only problem with it now is that they are still doing that, but they are now hiding from gravity by saying the server is located in canada, which meens gravity cant touch them.
that is the same reason why canadiancow is the server owner and not euph, they want them to think it isnt located in the US.

i tried posting this in their forums, but guess what, they dont want anyone to know this is still going on, the post was deleted, any replies to it was deleted, i was perma banned from the forums(because i wouldnt dare play on the server)

so overall, they are still hiding the truth from everyone, even gravity, i am a small handful of people that know the truth, trying to let everyone else know.

this is also why they arent located at www.euphro.com anymore and is at www.euphrogame.com  is to further more hide from them.
all im saying is the gm team is completely fake and the entire server is fruad.

gravity told me themselves for half of it and a insider of euph told me which i am good friends with.

but actually euphorian told everyone himself in a reply to one of my truth posts that i made on the euphro forums. euphorian replied to me, but one of his mod's deleted my post, deleted any reply to it, and perma IP banned me, because i want everyone to know the truth.

(this was about 3-4 months ago i found all this out.)

Well all whois i check say you are lieing, I dont like euph I dont even play there, but lieing aint good ....

and if you were to ask the people that know me, they would say i dont lie. they are saying i am lieing prolly because i was banned from that server, which isnt true, i was only banned from their forums trying to tell the truth. they are saying i am lieing because they play on the server, and they dont actually know the truth about it.

First Anima now Euph. Cut off the head before it infects? Either that or more elitist will come complaining about a server for doing something wrong even though they're playing for free?

I wanted to note that only the Domain is registered to someone in Canada. But what about the actual location of the server?
I don't think it matters if the owner of the domain is Canadian if the actual server is hosted in the US, right? You should check the IP of the server/website and not just the domain information.

Just clarifying that technicality.

As far as I've heard, Gravity only own " full copyright liscence" in the country where they releases servers, thus korea (kro), us (iro), and others like in France (fro?) they've been shutting down a lot of private servers.

I've heard that WOW have a world liscence, but gravity only got regional liscence, maybe because of the cost? I dunno.

As for the website being in canada, I would suggest following up with Skotlex's idea. Download server patch, extract sclientinfo, check the ip and locate that. Then you'll know where the server really is.

Is it possible that Gravity won't be going after RO servers as harshly once RO2 is in full swing?

I dont think Gravity has been going at it harshly at all, else there wouldnt be so many private server out there, tops and website to rank them.

Well, I use Sygate Pro firewall and when I opened an RO exe it gave me the IP for it before it could connect and, that's an easy way of doing it. o_O

Ever considered that they close and delete topics like that cause they're sick of that kind of crap? Seriously after Anima EuphRO must be one of the msot debated private RO servers, and as with Anima most of it is negative. So why shuldn't they delete some random dudes attepmts to drag their name through the mud? (again...).. Seriously I can't blame euph and his GM's for doing that, I might not like them or trust Euph but I defently can't blame him for just deleteing that sort of junk.

im pretty sure gravity doesnt have rights in canada and is why euphro is saying they are in canada.

I'm sure you can understand that, without any real proof or support, people may just think you're a bitter player who broke the rules, got themselves banned, and now have a vendetta against the server.  Granted, I've heard plenty of first-hand reports...

Ehem, sucky GMs in unityRO ? no, dont go attacking unityRO because your server still got trouble with it's GMs.
The sucky GMs changed their names (canadiancow is the owner ? yah right ....) and are still in your server, dont go throwing your trash to unityRO. Funny how I even try defending this 'coz the whois scan said he was lieing and you go throwing trash on unity simply because you dont like how we are the only LR server that beats yours in LR rankings (as you've proven in more than 1 topic where I advertise unity).

I figured it wasn't a lie anyways. It sounds like a possibility, I was actually thinking of starting a private RO server too as a means of making cash, but to pay for a cell phone, new games, sports camps, and a nice new TV instead.

Domain whois will not tell you where the website is located, just the address of the registrant.  Go input the IP of their webhost into any geo-ip website and you get United States.

But they even rated EuphRO well - there aren't many negative ones out there. The only negative reviews come from bitter OLD EUPH players.

EuphRO does not have a good reputation in my book. I still don't know what the real truth is since that event that happened a year/two years ago, but I was disgusted that they wiped all the servers, banned anyone who talked about it, and tried to play innocent from that point on. I thought it was really rude to do that to players (including myself) and I lost so many items, zeny, and really good friends.

k i didnt read all the posts here but one thing for sure..us euphro players know wht happened. Euphroian appraently came on one day and said he was using the donation money for drugs and w/e. but the thing is it wasn't him who was on the account..also there was problems in the gm-team back then and another GM spred this rumor..

Also we have new Gm-staff and the server is goin up alot...stop talking like u know alot.

I felt my IQ drop while reading this. I PERSONALY know canadiancow, and I know he DOES live in Canada. The server is not in Canada it is in Illinois. Also, the drug abuse was a rumor reguarding the OLD gm's. The new staff has transformed EuphRO into the best RO server i've every played on. You should also perhaps try playing on the server before you go flaming about how bad it is. Maybe correct judgement isnt your cup of tea...

As for everything else that was posted back in June, I never said the server was in Canada.  I made it very clear when I took over that it would stay where it was, and it is still in the same datacenter in Chicago.

Yes, we delete posts like this one from our forum, because what's it going to do?  Start a flame war and make people leave.  All because an old player has a grudge.  (not to mention its untrue)  NONE of the staff at EuphRO right now were in old Euph, unless you consider Adam as still being staff (he doesn't do anything; we just have him listed as a courtesy because EuphRO is his creation).

It's simply because Gravity does not own all the servers,they only own the game and sell liscences for it. By year!
for Philipines the company who bought RO from gravity is Levelup games, same one for Brazil. That's how it goes. :)
