so far in most servers, the most common thing im seeing is simply the addition of santa porings/orcs/jakks hanging around in towns and fields, with no other use then the dropping of santa hats

but of course a few servers did go all out adding nut'so quests that take ages and ages, and require killing of a ton and ton of xmas mobs


over all its less eventful then last year, because this time it seems more people just made it snow in pront and added xmas mobs

but still =3

So far, so good, I guess. Did a Holiday event where the prizes were 3 Solstice Credits(donation Credits), an Angeling Hat, 10 event headgears, and 5 Coppolas(the Coppola and Angeling Hat are custom quests on Solstice).

We also used a christmas skin by Final Fantasy(eAthena) for Prontera. As an added effect, Prontera is in @snow mode as well.



Nobody freak out, that's my Admin char. We don't use GM sprites on SolsticeRO.

We have the Christmas-themed Prontera too. I'll try to post some screenshots later. Also the Christmas monsters spawns in monster maps.

We also have this neat Advent calendar -- I dunno if it'll last till after Christmas tho.  Everyday you get something from it -- this week it's food boxes. Once per account so no abuse. xD

I dunno if there'll be a Christmas event, surprise or not, but I hope that there'll be one xD

Released Christmas boxes, a Secret Santa NPC, Christmas Bad Santa MVP, random-spawning Christmas Bunnies with eRO Christmas headgear drops that change day/night, Christmas maps (obv), made eating Candy/Candy Cane temporarily give a chance of dropping a Candy Ring, and a few GM events. Changed some regular server events to Christmas theme. I am also really pleased with the Essence 2008 Christmas headgears this year.





And re-released Snowflake Ring and Cookie Ring from Christmas 2007. I think that's pretty much it. We're getting ready to release the first 3-1 classes early, so that's taking up majority of time and effort at the moment.

Snowy prontera and izlude as we usually do for the winter season.

2 Christmas quests, one with the orphan's lost gifts that you must recover, the other with a grieving mother who lost her daughter and needs you to bring her items to comfort her, then she asks you to put her daugther's spirit to rest.

Various Christmas wears (holly pin, bear beanie, santa poring hat, poporing santa hat, snow cap, santa jester, Bell Ribbon, etc.)


Christmas mobs in 6 maps, and once you kill them all they spawn this year's xmas mvp (part of one of the second quest). Green cookies, xmas orcs, xmas goblins, santa porings, santa poporings, mystcase and bad santa (antonio).


Last year we also had 2 quests, the orphan one and the other quest that had xmas trivia and involved finding lots of lucky candy and travelling around to deliver coal and gift boxes to bad/good children, was fun.

Event too of course, last year we had a werewolf event Grinch style, and other celebrations for the holidays. We have events too this year, but I wasn't around to host nor participate last night nor will I be tonight (family gathering).

Overall the holidays are fun ^_^
