TalonRO is now hiring - and we're looking for you! We're looking to expand the GM team to include a variety of new positions on the staff, including those who are not only interested in holding events regularly, but also people who have decent RO knowledge, want to help other players or are very active on social media channels. Specialties include the following open staff positions:

Event
Support
Development
Social Media Team
PvP/WoE Specialization

All applicants are expected to have mastery-level knowledge of Ragnarok Online and to provide a high level of quality support and assistance in a staff position. All potential staff members are also expected to moderate the forum by answering questions or bringing things to the attention of a High GM, with all positions reporting to a High GM.

We invite all interested players to submit an application for an open position. All applications must be meet the following criteria to be considered as eligible:

  • All forms and questions must be answered in full. One-liners, copy / pasted passages from Wikipedia, and other incomplete answers will not attract our attention.
  • All fake applications will result in a ban from TalonRO. We kindly ask that you respect everyone's time!
  • Even if you have applied in the past, all applications are welcome in this new round. We encourage everyone who is interested to apply for a position.
Following these simple rules will help make your application stand out. So don't wait and think - get it started already! Once a complete application has been submitted, a member of the High GM team will contact you if you are selected for an interview.

Good luck everyone! Thanks for your interest in TalonRO.

Is it really necessary in order to provide your real name and gender?  If so, for what purposes?

Boreas

We are only asking for your first name, not the whole name. Gender is asked because we'd like to know who we are working with. The staff is working really close, we skype or chat on whatsapp. If you don't like that then this job is not for you.

This "don't like it?  Get out" behavior is what deters me from applying more-so than the absolute need for personal information.  Your reasoning for such as well, is beyond unsound.  My question is answered.

Boreas

I am not sure where you got the assumption from that I wanted you to get out. I merely pointed out that we like to talk to each other on a personal level without a pseudonym. Your attitude is what's totally uncalled for, if you don't want to reveal your first name then you cannot apply for this position. I answered your question, what you make out of that is up to you. Good luck on other applications! *waves*

Pretty much what Boreas said. We generally keep things pretty informal within our team. We keep in contact through Skype, Whatsapp, Hangouts and such. Therefore we would like to know who we're working with. We are not looking for an anonymous character to join our team but for an actual person who we work with closely. Being at least on first-name basis is a very important matter when it comes to working closely in a team. It is no matter of "don't like it? Get out" whatsoever, but we simply cannot work with someone who we cannot get to know at all. :)
