Phoenix-RO.net is corrupted and unbalance. (You must be register on Phoenix-RO.net to access forums)

A player caught a GM on the CP leveling his legit character using GM commands.

The problem with this is a player caught him, not a GM, which means that the GMs does a poor job on checking their logs and the GMs they hire. Who knows if the other GMs could be also corrupted as well? Not to mention their CP is hidden on their website and forums and no information mentions about the CP too which proves suspicous.

The unbalance issue of the server is with the BG rewards such as the major items such as AD and EDP bottles. Some players prove good points into removing such rewards to balance this server but nothing seems to be done into this or simply ignored or simply GM doesn't know their MATH.

http://www.phoenix-ro.net/forums/topic/1005-bg-items-qq/page__st__40 -  Crazy von Quesadilla about the yellow gems makes a good point.

http://www.phoenix-ro.net/forums/topic/1005-bg-items-qq/page__st__80 - Ryce about the AD time farming makes a good point.

They also removed @mi and put them available to VIP members only, which can only be obtain by voting alot or donating, and @mi is the most basic command to most private server and proves useful.

In my theory, this is just another Eternity-RO server. Leveling legit characters and making items to balance the economy and WoE of server just to make more player think this server have competition which = more players joining and more donation. Basically, just another money sucking server out of your wallet. Not to mention most of the staff are from Kay-RO, another corrupted server.

actually what I heard was that most of the staff is from vast RO, a server that died in a mysterious way.
this is just sad

I'm not sure what this is meant to prove. You still get XP once you hit the max level, unless eA doesn't continue to store it.
I think he's trying to say that the GM is leveling his legit character the cheating, corrupted way o.o but looking at that screenshot...doesn't prove anything. This is just speculation.

Official servers are not less corrupt.

Wasn't there another big issue ~4 years ago about some friend-of-an-event GM getting access to the GMs account, with monster spawning rights only?
As far as I remember, it resulted in ~18.000 treasure boxes being spawned in jawaii - secretly and within a week.
When the euRO administration tried to get this fixed, half the economy was already affected by several hundreds of highly upgraded chain mails / mufflers / shoes and cards - which of course couldn't all be traced anymore.
The turkish (?) guild got banned and everything else stayed as it was.
Unfortunately, I can't find any link of this anymore. Does anyone still remember the details? I hope I'm not growing senile here.

Can we go back to talking Phoenix-RO please?

Actually with my lack of real time RO experience these days, excuse me for asking can the ss result be archived in a legit way?

Many servers use that feature with the EXP that was gained on the current level - instead of overall experience.
That's what someone on their forums claims, but... that doesnt make any sense. I never heard of a 40mio+ EXP requirement for a Job level.
-> total EXP is most likely shown.

Those displays can also be bugged, delayed, ...

Anyways, here's a copypasta of GM Epoque's statement about this matter:

Quote from: Epoque* I have no access to levelling up my legitimate characters. The only way I could do it is via @ command, and only Brian/Gaap have access to the atcommand logs directly. Brian checked the logs, I did not use any levelling commands.
   * MySQL has a funny method of storing experience. It's labelled as a BIGINT(20). However, assigning EXP as a number variable sometimes causes problems. Hence, some people have crazy EXP changes.
   * If you've ever noticed guild devotion points reaching -1, it's because the buffer is not large enough to store the experience. This happens with MySQL too.
   * Do remember there is a slight lag between updates. The MySQL database is being read/written to almost every second. Chances are something strange will happen.

I did not cheat when levelling my legitimate character. I had no means to, and I don't know why i'd cheat anyway considering I have much greater things to work on. Me and my girlfriend, Caulee, both levelled in Sphinx 4. She tanked for me on my Lord Knight, she dual-cliented her Assassin Cross, and I played Priest and we levelled via Anubis (simply because it doesn't require a huge party).

There is, in no way, anything to suggest that I cheated except a slight lag or bug on the control panel (or even MySQL), which appears to have corrected itself.
If you're going to accuse someone, do it through the ticket system, and have better evidence than a screenshot.

Update:
Quote from: EpoqueI've already asked Brian to delete all my characters.

I hope you're all happy now. Doesn't matter about the week I put into it in my spare time, and I suppose my girlfriend will be quitting now. I suppose i'll just stick to programming for you people.

Have fun.

Soo.. even if PhoenixRo's main GM covers for Epoque, we can't really tell what happened there.
Some will think that his character deletion was fishy ("he did it because he was cheating after all") or not ("he's just avoiding further accusations").

In any case, OP is playing there again it seems.

You need 343.210.000 EXP for Base Level 99 (if exp.txt is used, if exp2.txt (Base Level over 99), nearly the same amount, but not exactly), for a Rebirth Class.

The only way getting level-ups without getting EXP is via @baselv or the BaseLevel character-variable in NPC scripts.

No, it is not possible via legit ways (And no, the server rates don't change the EXP needed)

Yea I looked up the exp requirement for lvl 99 and see it is more than what the other chars shown, that one 99/70 above the char has only 220,xxx,xxx exp.  So the exp shouldn't be cumulatively displayed?  Could that be the one having 220,xxx,xxx exp has been a 99/70 for a long time while the one has 4m exp just turned 99/70 not long ago?

Shadowfax

I find it interesting that although a good amount of PhoenixRO staff are RMS forum members, they seem to not want to make any comment on this matter. Epoque's "sacrifice" to have his character deleted also seems pretty shady.
