I hope you all are doing well.
Some of the best friends in my life I have met in RO, and projectRO was definitively the pinnacle of the RO experience.
I've lost count how many hours we all have spent in that small PVP arena back then.
So many beautiful memories which I will never forget. Some sweet, some bittersweet but definitely no regrets.
There's one thing you've probably already forgotten about.. The +7 orc hero goggles  /gg sure was worth it just to annoy Baku and other people freaking out because of it

PS. Requiem, I'm pretty sure Renata doesn't miss us as much as we miss her  /heh /kis I think I still have THOSE irc logs somewhere on my old drive.

QuoteI even miss that crappy hunter, UnderWorld, from the UnderWorld guild, whose custom guild title was Underworld.
LMAO how could I ever forget about that dude. At times I felt sorry for how we owned his butt in pvp.

Take care guys and cherish those memories because they have defined who we are today. /lv /lv /lv

It's been about a year since the last comment in this beautiful thread, so let's keep the train moving all these years after this was posted!

I lived in Europe for a few years away from home, and I with my friends in Europe, all decided to play ProjectRO (3/3/2). It consumed us all. I also introduced my little brothers to it and they immediately got hooked. We were all 10-13 years of age at the time, so we didn't really know what we were doing, other than having fun leveling and exploring deeper in dungeons and unknown maps outside our usual stomping grounds. A particular highlight for me was hunting Angeling and getting a Halo on the first kill. That became my signature equipment from then on.

All of us banded together under a naming system. Every one of us would be named "Black ____". The blank being an animal or creature. I was an Assassin called Black Cebures. Forgive the misspelling, if you will. Looking back, it seems cute that little me didn't know the correct spelling. If you saw any players around bearing the Black title, chances are, it was one of us.

We never did much as a guild, and frankly, I don't even remember what the guild was called. I think we were too low leveled, under-geared, and enamored with grinding levels with each other to care much about the goings on in WoE and other things. I remember when each of us reached 2nd Class, we all congratulated that person on their accomplishment. That's what I remember. Cheering my friends on. And we all eventually hit our goals to become that Crusader, Rogue, or Hunter. And I'll always remember bonding with my friends over that.

Eventually, I moved back home. After three years of living abroad, I had to say goodbye to those friends. Today, the internet keeps me in touch with them at the very least, as I watch us all grow as adults, with lives of our own. Sometimes, the friendships you make in real life can be enhanced by sharing in a game. This was one of those games for me. ProjectRO brought us all just a bit closer during that window in our lives. And while we never get that window of time back, I keep those experiences deep in my heart.

This is Black Cebures signing off in 2022.

Love you guys.

Oh, hello there.  /heh Was just thinking back to the days of ProjectRO and stumbled upon this thread.

And then realized there was more than one page to the thread and I had already replied 8 years ago... I'm getting old.

So many recognizable names. I was a level 90ish Assassin under NeoAlliance. I remember stopping by the arena every time my aspd potion ran out and killing random people, except Baku^, he had no calms about blowing gil to kill people. I remember ShockerX taking us in (me,T-34, and my ChaosInsanity). Protecting all of Payon castles was a nightmare, I think Shadows helped us more than we did them. I was able to obtain a ghostring card from an OCA, but could never beat basanoviat due to him having donation cards from Project, who "allegedly" bought guitars with. Me and T-34 had a beef with Requiem, but made peace, VVV guild was kos. I remember shadows taking Nami when her guild broke up, but I think we stole her from them.
I lost contact with most of NeoA/NeoR. Last time I saw Eggy, Raita, Daita was in FF14 a decade ago, I stopped playing and they joined Death and Taxes, f*** never bothered to vouch or invite me in  /pif.

I only have this image, its from Himeno, Tokiya?'s little sister. I don't even know how I got it tbh. I hope everyone is doing well. Oh yeah, remember those BR people all wearing blue? lol
<3 Serenity, Spidy sux, I miss Celestial, Time really flies, don't it?

Just popping in to say hey. I remember many of you though I was mostly only active in andzRO2/viciousRO - later was into celestiaRO and eternityRO which is where the majority of that crowd migrated to I believe.

Some of the people and guilds I remember from andzRO2/viciousRO:

-Pandemonium: I'm guessing this was a guild that was a carry over from projectRO & the first andzRO, but it was quickly disbanded.

-Finale: Top guild, super competitive, did every high end MVP first
Mercury/Alex/Dakanya: The agreed upon leader of Finale and likely the most influential singular player in the entirety of the server. I still wonder where he disappeared off to.
Fuchsia/Panic/Sphy/Dispel: He quit pretty quickly after andz wiped I believe but I heard a lot about him from projectRO. I also believe he was the first 99/70 on the server on his prof
Yiruma: Nice guy
Hysteria/Xilo: Top hwiz on the server
Clarity: random bolter prof
Ode To The Sun: Got banned because one of the GMs thought he was buff botting in Isis? I remember everyone putting UNBAN ODE in their guild titles lol
sigma: Super talkative, always everywhere, very social guy. Seems like he dominated the markets when he could

-Destiny: Always felt like the biggest guild on the server but not quite as elite as Finale. Remained allied to them for nearly the entirety of the server
Destined2: Didn't know much about him other than he quickly 99/70'd a few chars
Eiriel/Ken: Great guy who was dedicated to helping others
Annie?: Vaguely remember her
k1: I still can't remember if he was in Destiny or Finale originally. I'm clueless about guild lore prior to andzRO.
Hayley?: Comical paladin (she could've been in Finale, I can't remember)

-Mirage: Another satellite guild allied with the main 2?

-KOH: Allied with the main guilds but split off towards the end of the server.
Ultima: the longstanding leader of this guild, dedicated hwiz obsessed guy.
ED/EternalDarkness/Jon: Stalker/recaller of the guild

-Uranus/The Gays: Hilarious people who you weren't sure if they really took the game seriously or not. Best guild emblem
Tu/Banana: Original leader. I think he quit towards the beginning and a few of the other guildies took over and changed the name to The Gays
MJ: Seem to remember he had a 99 whitesmith and a high priest, was always down in bios in the water pit
Etcetera: Defacto leader. The 99 stalker level 10 waterballer herself. I remember this guild spending 16 hour days down there in bio3 99ing all of their guild.
Thingy: Loves chicken feet (he may have been a part of Finale at this time)
Rummer/Amy: Can't remember her characters but I know she was a part of this
Faku: assassin troll, funny guy
Strider: Made a gypsy I believe?
Eshy: I mostly remember his SBK videos from the first andz, but I think he also played here quite a bit
Gina & Thom: I remember them as a pair for some reason. pRO/andzRO1 carry-overs?

-LS: I hardly remember anything about them other than Roze and her high priest/creator.

-K4F: The local BR guild. They were super funny

-Faith: The guild that went from being the best on pRO to subpar here? I know they held a big grudge against Finale
Lenx: The original leader who ended up quitting early on.
Jinn: leadership transferred over to him after Lenx quit. Organized guy
Tias: goofy swedish? guy
Jamie/Fluorite: Helpful highpriest

-Immortals: guild that joined later on when the server had already matured

-CG?: vague memory of them

The memories reading through this post /kis2

My brother Bino got me started in this beautiful game on ProjectRO and we played with Faith, Lenx our leader and I took over my brothers VIT knight and Lenx was like a god hahaha.

Tried to copy all his gear but leveling at clock tower high orcs was sooooo slow with 3/3/2 rates so I was always a few levels behind Lenx so I could never beat him in the PVP room because we did the same spells and yea...GG   /heh

Like the title says it was AndzRO after that, the last server that was pre-trans and then ViciousRO happened.

So many memories from pRO with Faith as a knight, EternityRO with Nabz as a sinX.

Trying to re-live the memories by playing 1-2 low pop private servers per year but I do all the standard stuff, sniper, sinx, hp and then I don't see the point in what I'm doing so I just end up quitting, playing solo all the time, maybe that's the problem.

Hope you all are feeling happy in your lives, I'm having my first baby in May (im 32 soon) and I hope all that stuff goes well, woho!

LMAO how could I ever forget about that dude. At times I felt sorry for how we owned his butt in pvp.

Hahahah Underworld.......He never gave up though!

Velius and Itako, my god  /heh

I remember us being on Ventrilo and I called my mom to the room and she said dirty polish jokes to you guys hahaha.

I have some vague memory that the owner of ProjectRO took the money to buy guitarrs and then the server died? I guess it was on the re-launch which was such a flop. You could change from an Aco to a bard I remember  /heh

GM-Annie banned me for some kind of cheating I remember, but don't quite remember what server it was, but it was really early on. The weird thing was that both me and my brother Bino was in Germany on a holiday with our faither during that time so it felt to me like there were some grudge there? Hahaha I also remember trying to get unbanned etc and I was like 13-14 y/o and so immature and couldn't type a ban appeal  /heh /heh

Later changed name to I R A SWEDISH SINX, during Eternity I think.

Some memorable guilds I were in:

Densetsuno Senshi
That guild with the LK on EuphRO that was crazy good, can't remember, edit: Power was the name of the guild!

People I remember off the top of my head:

Lenx - Faith - Looked up to this giant
Fluorite/Jamie - Faith - Always a friendly person, never heard or experienced anything negative at all with this guy. At first I thought he was a girl, but then Ventrilo happened  /heh
Velius/Itako - My polski brothers haha
Noodles - Densetsuno Senshi - Beautiful personality  /lv
Smokie - Densetsuno Senshi - Just hillarious
k1 - Had some type of issue with this guy, but don't remember what. Maybe jealous that he was good haha.
Omar - Nabz - These guys got priority / special treatment and that hurt my feelings  /heh
Cyrus - Nabz

Like the previous poster said, the servers were:

ProjectRO, AndzRO, ViciousRO, CelestiaRO, EuphRO, EternityRO then I lost count.

Does anyone know a player by the name Geneva Kitsumari? Long lost friend from the AndzRO Era.

Couldn't resist registering and posting in such a nostalgic thread. ProjectRO was definitely THE RO experience for me. Project invited me to take over running the show while he was taking care of some RL stuff. Hadn't ever GM'd before and didn't know much about aegis, but he was kind enough to teach me and from there I started coming up with some pretty silly GM events. So I went by Toryeva, Tory, or just my real name Cole. For quite some time, I ran a paid voice chat server for the server as well! Was always fun trying to lure people on there to talk for real.

One of my favs was a scripted version of WoE that invited the whole server to team up against a specialty Player Character I designed, and as the battle went on I would throw out all kinds of loot and gear based on the damage done to me.

I remember forming Relic, and see a bunch of familiar names both friends and mortal rivals! We weren't exactly the most competitive WoE guild, but for a while we enjoyed success at the top with a core group of awesome players who I miss a ton. Hope some of them are still around.

And I remember causing quite a bit of drama leading up to my exit! Hey..c'mon, I was much younger then! I like to think I brought more fun and silliness to the server than anything else. Thanks everybody for the walk down memory lane.

Project, maybe its time for a nostalgic reboot! I'll behave this time ;)
