EternityRO was the last private server with 5000 actual players after all. :p
And I kinda disagree that Karei ruined the server. He was more the "Secretly give out rare MVP items to weaker guilds so WoE stays balanced and guilds don't quit" type of guy. Sure he only cared about money, but that also made him really good at marketing. Even though he was lazy as hell, he managed to get 5000 people together on the same server. He could delegate tasks pretty well and knew exactly when a decision was so important that he had to intervene. He's not a person you should trust, but in regards of hosting a RO server, I'd rather say he made it a success rather than that he ruined it.
