Let's summarize:

What happened?
EternityRO closed after 3 versions.

What's Karei's Fault?
Lots of stuff. Poor implementation, not thinking things through, "cheating", and taking about $25 out of the donation fund (I bought slippers on ebay, what can I say).

Why Did Karei Cheat?
I made illigit characters to balance out WoE. I introduced new items into the market, that shouldn't have been there. I equalized and manipulated server mechanics to give everyone the appearance that things were more balanced than they were. Things were not balanced. V1 and V2 had market intervention too, but never got stupidly s*** enough to warrant WoE meddling. Was I wrong? Only to let people find out. Would've been better off for everyone, otherwise.

What's Adria's Fault?
Adria killed Eternity v3 - no question. She also killed Eternity v4, probably. You can make an argument that a server is "dying" from the start, but she caused the entire thing to go down for good. We tried to get excited about v4, but it's hard, when people betray you like that, after all that work. Call [personal information removed] to find out more.

Was Karei Using Adria?
Yeah, maybe. She was active, but I got 50 complaints a week about her. I decided to side with her, and tell the players to calm down. Obviously, I was mistaken. I sided with her, and eventually she shut down the server after yelling at me for doing something "without telling her" (something public... I made a decision on donation items, or something - I forget exactly).

Was Eternity v4 ACTUALLY Almost Released?
Yes. However, several key staff members disappeared, and a lot of real-life crap happened. I'm not going to share what that is, because it doesn't relate to me. Press at it, and you'll feel like a gaint a****** if you ever find out.

Then... Why No Eternity v4?
I'm sick of this. Really sick. Jitsu is sick of it. Griffin is sick of it. Steve is sick of me, and when everything happened, we just moved on with our lives. It wasn't planned. We didn't decide to lie to you. It just happened.

But, There Was Hope Again Right?
Yes. Eternity v4 had a second chance... in fact, it still might. But once again, I'm really sick of the game and the community. Even after all of this, there are still accusations of stealing money. Internal politics are frustrating, and stresses everyone out. Overall, it's a thankless job, so it probably won't happen.

Did Karei ACTUALLY steal money?
I'm going to say "No," but you're free to not believe me. Yet, even IF I did take donation money, I had every right to do so. At one point, actually, I asked my staff if they would like to be paid (not for myself) - they said no. Confirm with them if you don't believe me.

I spent an excess of 60 hours a week dealing with EternityRO. I was paid about $27/hour (salaried) at my most recent job. If you work it out, I'd have to have made over $84,000 in a year to make it worthwhile. Do you think we got that many donations? Use some logic here.

If I do it again, will I be paid? Yes, and I wouldn't spend as much time on the server. Will other staff be paid? They will either be paid, or they can select a charity of their choice. Paid staff work harder.

So why this post?
Why not. EternityRO.net is no longer up, since the hosting expired.

Why should we believe you?
I don't really care if you do, but at this moment I don't really have anything to hide. I don't really expect to put up Eternity 4, nor do I plan on playing on another server. My close RO friends already know who I am, and I'm not looking to make new friends. I admit to what I did, and I still say it was the right thing. It's a little better, I'd say, than posting numerous times off-topic, in a thread and making multiple accusations (*cough* adria).

Well for all I know, you are using a disposable email for your account activation.  So I do see there is something to hide as far as I am concerned.  Who are you?  IIRC Karei do have an account in this forum since a long time ago there is no need to create a new one if she/he ever need to post.

There is no way for us to contact you with your provided contact so your account will be deleted for that.  Not like you can complain with your disposable email address anyway.  That's what we do for users of disposable emails.

He created and sold items ( read: enchanted armour, that really good bone helm thing at +6 or something, etc ) with a blacksmith in Prontera. It did not have the Cat- like most of his other characters did.

Just as a note, and my only reply to the BS posted above, I was never once asked if I would like to be paid. Vermillion and Playtester weren't either, I'm sure, nor any of the GMs hired while I was on the staff. I know for an absolute fact, because I had to ask after spending so much time on there and thought I deserved to be paid - I wasn't the best admin, but I still showed up and did my job to the best of my abilities. How much did I want, you say? I would have been happy with $300 a month and the server could definitely afford that with a few hundred at the least ( in some cases, a few thousand ) to spare. Yet someone who was barely present and did not help the staff unless begged paid himself thousands over the course of v3 alone, covering it up with the "advertisement campaign" that so many people were conned into donating for. The server never saw any increase in population, nor did we find any actual proof of advertising being done, because it all went into Karei's pocket instead.

Really mature of you to post an old phone number on a public forum yet again. I thought you were an intelligent boy who knows something about the legality of giving someone's personal information out without their consent. ( Just a hint: it's illegal. )

Ask around. Adria, would you please refer me to any time where you asked to be paid? Give me a time, date, and medium so I can confirm. I could be mistaken, but I don't remember either you, Vermillion, or Playtester asking for money.

You may have asked the team previous to my hiring, which makes no difference to me at all. There was a huge thread publicly after you refused to pay me, the entire server knew that you had refused and a lot of them supported me in it. I asked about it over the phone and over msn, and no I can't bloody tell you when because unlike some people, I actually move on from my past. I deleted literally everything from my computer, the only reason I posted here was to let "anyone from Eternity" know why their server went down. I'm not holding a grudge over anything, I simply stated the facts for the people who wished to know. I correctly thought that the players of Eternity deserved to know the truth, without any hidden agenda.

Btw, posting text-only does not actually convince anyone. Like I learned on the team, the pure and unadulterated truth is what truly condemns or sets one free. That's why unaltered screenshots were used, whether from the game or from IRC / MSN, to ensure that there could be no doubt in the proof.

Basically, who am I? Kind of a big deal.

Nah just f*** with you, I was just the one guy that fitted into the convenient timezone of being able to co-ordinate between the NA and EU admins/GMs, with this timezone I was able to befriend most of the staff,  and with this befriending I had access to privileged information, and with access to this information came quasi-blackmail responsibility (cf Andy Dufresne), either keep my mouth shut and keep playing court jester in the forums, or be passed off as a conspiracy theorist and get perma-banned across all mediums.

Most of what Adria tells you and wants you to believe in her award-winning best seller sob story was just a blatant and utter lie, karei told you a conveniently-constructed lie, but now he decided it's time to move on and tell you to truth and admit he was just f*** with you (or at least that's what I'd admit, sweeping the rest of the failures under the rug, but he admits that part too)

Even though we're no longer associated, I saw SteveMcAwesome being mentioned three-paragraphs down in her pastebin story, and immediately felt the unyielding need to defend my fellow man because you can not simply reduce all the hard-work and effort he had commited to developing the server over a simple ad hominem: What, we're going to overlook the countless hours Steve worked on the server because he said you had AIDS and therefore he is a less likeable character than you? Nevermind what prompted him to say that to you to begin with?

Quit playing the victimisation card, you alone brought down v3 and with it any hopes of v4, Griffin, Jitsu, Kargha, Katsuragi, sonnet all put in many hours of work in preparation and v3 was doomed from the beginning with karei promising things that he did not discuss with the dev team. Most of them were sick of him, they did it out of their interest for personal development and love of RO, and then the poor decision on karei's end installing reichsruher Adria only cemented the schadenfreude within those staff.

The utter and ugly truth was, the promise of v3 only coat-tailed the success of v2, which only came to be with only coincidental timing with the fall of ProjectRO. Which ultimately, v1 EternityRO only served as flies to wanton boys as players were to the gods: A no-control perception-bias-laden social experiment for karei.
It was some kind of demented body of work that relies heavily on the effort of others which he is appointed as nominal administrative figurehead; checks in on occasion to make note of landmarks, and then pats himself on the back of this great success and repute which he had utterly no net involvement in whatsoever.

You really think some guy claiming he quadrupled his portfolio in the scary downturn of 2009's fourth quarter as an intern isn't going to be abducted by Wall St at the ransom of a six figure salary? Much less now working on a meager 27 canadian dollars hourly rate?

And I close with another mention to all the previous dev staff,  who were the unsung heroes throughout all of the versions of eternityRO, karei was just some insecure delusional narcissist without any actual accomplishments.

I haven't begged anyone for anything in a long time. The only begging I did before was to get Karei to give me some direction on how to run the server and to get him to actually spend some time on it, to show the players that he existed and cared. I'm curious how you would become privy to details about my life, although what you stated is completely false. Let me guess... "it doesn't matter", "someone", "a friend", some other vague answer? Typical useless replies from people either lying or trying to hide the source.

What does your education have to do with your distrust of me and clearly anyone else? You sit there and insult people, but you are nearly incapable of believing what anyone says, from what I've seen. I applaud you for standing up for a friend, but you were clearly mislead if you think I did anything to merit the abuse of someone I was supposed to look for guidance from. I did not speak with or say anything at all about Steve or Vilya before he decided to follow the blatant lies and abuse of people who didn't like me because I didn't act like a whore for them ( people from Nabz ). Did you ever once ask -why- Steve acted like that, or did you blindly believe him? I suppose that's one example of "trust", as obviously mislead and ignorant of any facts it was. Also, I don't believe in blind trust in a corporate environment, but there is a level of it, otherwise nobody would get anything done - they wouldn't have faith that anyone would finish any task, or be reliable in any situation. You trust your professors to instruct and educate you, correct? You trust that the people in charge of major food corporations are going to ensure that your food is safe to eat, right? Not blindly, I hope, but there is still faith in these things.

I have not given you nor anyone else any reason to not trust me, although I did hold back certain things as instructed by my "superior". And the anger shown at Karei that he mentioned above? That was from him going behind my back and adding things that were detrimental to the server, just to make money. I had every right to be upset, since I was the one overseeing the daily activities of the server and making the decisions on what changes to implement. He even admitted to me that he wasn't in touch with the population, and didn't know what they thought and wanted. There was no "60 hours of work a week" even on average, counting all the time from the beginning of V3. Like I said, I literally had to beg him to show up in-game and give me any advice on anything - as the owner, I tried to respect what he wanted for the server without compromising the needs of the population. The players wondered if he was even around anymore, since he never showed any sign of caring about the people left after his massive screw-up.

Although I owned up to my many mistakes, something I am not responsible for was the downfall of V4. I had absolutely nothing to do with it, it wasn't even announced for quite some time afterwards. I deleted one thing, sure - something he obviously had experience replacing, since he ran V1 and V2. Starting over with all new accounts, that's all it took, and was guaranteed with announcing V4. It's a ridiculous claim that has absolutely no basis. I did not ask for my "employer" to give out my personal information on several occasions, and that is not done in the real world either. The quote about not having the right to privacy has a very important part - not "explicitly" guaranteed. That does indeed imply that I do have rights to my privacy. Not convinced? Ask Rupert Murdoch if he was in the right to invade other people's privacy. ( Hint: he wasn't. ) I also did not ask nor deserve to be blamed for any of the bans that happened after the rollback that Karei chose to do after I left - in fact, I helped someone else ban the person responsible, as I had no access ( my Eternity got screwed up after installing a new server's stuff in that folder several days before ). The proof was posted on the forum. I believe it was Katsuragi who accused me of that and other things, which was out of jealousy at not being chosen to be the Administrator after all the others left. I asked Karei specifically about Kats being "nominated" by the rest of the GMs, and he stated that Kats was incompetent and he did not trust him to be Admin.
I didn't ever state my medical issues as a way to get pity, and I despise anyone who does that. I only ever gave it as a reason for possibly not being able to do my job, and never for any incompetence. It was a factor in some of my mislead and wrong decisions, but the rest were simply because I was never qualified to be an Admin. I told Karei this right away, and I let him know on several occasions that I couldn't handle the stress. Not everyone is capable of being in an administrative position, and that is not a weakness. Everyone has their own talents, and that one was obviously not mine. Should I have quit? Yes, and I did more than once so I could gather myself and try again, for the players. I did not have any chance to refuse, as I was not officially an Administrator until a few months after being given access to the database and increased in-game powers. How this sounds to you like I'm trying to be a victim is beyond me. A victim does not take responsibility for their actions nor admits to any mistakes that may have led to whatever violation occurred. They place blame on others exclusively.

Funny enough, I would have liked you if you hadn't acted like a trolling d-bag due to your misguided hatred ( dislike, or whatever you thought of me ). I noticed that you never tried to give me the benefit of the doubt nor got to know me even a little. That's why so many people blindly hated me, and the people who did get to know me actually liked me.
