The HP/EXP is more-or-less accurate, but the two apple drops at the end for spore tell me that this is a new mob DB "backported" to an older episode state. Those two apple drops for spore are actually strawberry and poison spore and should therefore be removed. The person backporting the mob/drops DB just replaced the newer items with apples as a quick hack.

Last post by 2k2 - Sep 01, 2023, 06:06 PMA truly classic server with next to no customization, and the most important as mentioned by other people: original monster stats, exp table and spawn. Pretty trashy when a server claim being classic and then you see the updated Wolf exp. Or updated mob map location and spawns. Something like KokoRO.
Also, don't make the mistake thinking nostalgia is tied to old client or old UI. It's not. New clients and new UI is one of the best things to ever happen in this game. Or example, Battlemode was very limited and not nearly as good as what came after it.

I'd say except rodex and maybe battle manual, there're plenty of servers out there that are just like that.
The old UI is well, old. There's really no benefit to it other than the nostalgia and probably quite a number of downsides, now that hardware and software is vastly different from back then.
IMO there're more important things that give the nostalgia feeling, like the fact that every job class has already been researched to hell and back, and you no longer discover anything new.

I'm wondering to any new classic p.server nowadays, sometimes they called themself "old school" or "play like 200X (year)", but there's a lot of modification. In fact, none of them brings a nostalgic vibes to me.
I'd say most of them have good features, and good graphic. Even they are building wikis of their server which is pretty good.
Back to topic, I still questioning to RO players this day (who still played RO) :
1. What makes you guys enjoy playing classic server? The rates, or their unique features (low rates pre-re combined with their creativity feature)
2. I'm planning to make a old school classic server which has old UI (SS dropped below). Low rates (less than 5x/5x exp) with no item mall, no cash point, no modification, no battle manual, no RMT. It just pure classic and free to play. Are you guys willing to play?
I'll not telling you server I develop yet. because this topic is not meant to promote, i just want your opinion about my 2 question. You'll see on server listing once i publised the server.
