Boredom presents...yeah, anyone remember MvPing pre-11.2? That was some easy times, now, after gravity did that "mvp buff", it's getting harder and harder to survive an MvP, so i've put up some tips and tricks for those who are having trouble with RSX/Bapho/Ifrit, here are some reductions obtainable by cards and buffs, since reductions do not stack unless they are the same, it goes like this:100%-25%=75%,75%-33%=50% and so on :
-20% Raydrick
-50% Assumptio
-40% Alice
These are the basic crap, easly obtainable depending on your server, reducing the total damage to 24%, if you are on of those guys who are lucky as heck and have a Deviling and GR, then the reduction goes to:
-40% Alice
-75% GhostringDoesnt work-50% Deviling
-50% Assumptio
Only someone lucky as hell can have this kind of crap, but this is how it works:
100%-40%=60%,60%-75%=15%,15%-50%=7.5%,7.5%-50%=3.75% S
hould actually be 15%Having EQ's damage reduced to 3.75% is a very good defense, but as I said, do not expect everyone to have this kind of crap, unless your server has high card drop rate or is an old server, so instead I will continue the above(at 24%), any self-respecting MvPer will proberly have an Alice and a Raydric, and hopefully a priest supporting him (Try to solo Bapho, RSX or Ifrit without Asura on a low/mid rate)
24%, Since this skill is magic then lets use my other guide to help :
http://www.ratemyserver.net/forum/guides-b/mdef-guide/0/ Doest work...
A good idea is to use both Neutral Reduction and MDEF,
Other things about Earthquake, being a magic attack Earthquake CAN be blocked by GTB, but getting GTB is a very hard task, most high rates nerf GTB for being very overpowered, so don't rely on it much.
In total, Earthquake's damage formula is 500%+500%*Skill Level, which is, 5500% on level 10 (Which most bosses use BTW), but adding on, this is how the REAL full formula is:
{[MVP's Attack*(5+5*Skill Level)]/Number of Players Hit}*[(100/100-Neutral Reduction/100)*(100/100-Racial Reduction/100)*(100/100-Size Reduction/100)*(100/100-Boss Reduction/100)]
Extra notes: Mob's attacks triple when they are in Power Up state(Small red thunder around them), and since a monster's attack in RO=it's magic attack, then say hello to triple powered Earthquake, and besides hitting for massive damage on a nearly 27x27(Pretty much full screen) area, It's damage is reduced by players hit (No, you cant call a bunch of novices to die and let their corpses serve as an EQ shield for you), also, if you are assump'ed add a total *1/2 to the formula, Earthquake is also
NOT(Bolded caps letters tend to attract much attention) blocked by either Magnetic Earth, Pneuma or Safety Wall.
Mobs also tend to spam EQ when they are near-dead, so becareful when they do that,
Other Strategies to avoid being EQ'ed: A good strategy to avoid EQ's damage is to run away from the boss, as when they start casting it, EQ is a pretty obvious skill to see it being casted (It's a long cast time compared to the mvp's normal skills), but still, if you can run away ~13 cells from the boss in that small time, you won't take damage.
If you feel like you have anything else usefel to add, then post here
