High Wizard Card

Heya,

The High Wizard Card ignores MDEF, right? (yeash, I know it says it in teh description, just clarifying xD).
So, it ignores soft MDEF too?

Becasue, once i heard someone say that "HW is the Thana of magic..." o.O??
And, they said that HW is useless if whoever you are attacking has no MDEF, and that if they had 300 soft MDEF, you would only do 300 more damage.



Soo yeah, im kind of confused. o.O

I believe it just does what the card says, and that's completely ignore MDEF.  I don't believe it actually does higher damage depending on the players DEF (or in this case, MDEF) like the Thanatos card.

i've used the card before and Xarale is correct it just complete ignores MDEF
it doesn't work like Thana/IcePick

ex.

Dryad (lvl 50)     = MaxDmg (w/out HW) - 11652    /   MaxDMG (w/ HW) - 17520
Mdef - 33 (RMS)
Mdef - 33+28 (occurding to Doddlercon.com)
Earth

Knocker (lvl 50)  = MaxDmg (w/out HW) - 8499     /    MaxDMG (w/ HW) - 17520
Mdef - 50 (RMS)
Mdef - 50+87 (occurding to Doddlercon.com)
Earth

the only time your damage actually change(when using HW) is when you're
using your Magic on any Monster Lvl 81 or higher and against MVP but their MDEF will not effect it
at all at least from my own experience and as you can see from above both
monsters have same lvl so the dmg w/ HW didn't change and it only change
if you're not using HW since Knocker have higher Mdef so it took less dmg than
dryar and both are Earth property btw this using Storm Gust lvl 10 and also
if it's true that HW works like a Thana then the damage done to Knocker should be
a whole lot higher than 17520

and for the Mdef 0 you mentioned here's another example on a monster w/ Mdef 0
or close to it

Fabre (lvl 2) - Maxdmg (w/out HW) - 17514        /     MaxDMG (w/HW) - 17520
Mdef - 0 (RMS)
Mdef - 0+2 (according to Doddlercon.com)
Earth

see there's no differnce from the damage that Faber, Dryad, and Knocker took from
StormGust w/HW regardless of their Mdef

IIRC it totally bypasses the MDEF from Non-bosses, HW doesn't work like a Magic Thana

Stats are from the sniper, with 0 mdef and 6 soft mdef



Hwiz is using NO high wizard card
Sniper has 0 hard mdef and 10000 Soft mdef



Hwiz IS using High wizard card
Sniper has 0 hard mdef and 10000 Soft mdef

It looks like 50% on the last shot but MATK does have strange value ranges

Yeah, I can't explain why it suddenly did ~400 instead of the first ~600-550

But still, it didn't do 1 and who in hell has 10000 soft mdef ;p.
