wow can't believe it's actually fun. exploring stuff make it so nice. didn't even know the existence of old glast heim until today it's pretty cool to learn what happened there as that was the question I had when I first step foot into it all those years ago. Skill damage are dumb tho. Struggling to understand what is enchanting garment and headgear(why do u guys have this lol) and people can have like 0 cast delay while im stuck with 5 second delays haha. That's time to get use to tho. I wonder if it's plausible to convert these instances into pre-renewal but that sounds a whole lot of work.

Several servers converted renewal content to pre-renewal, it's not that hard. The only tricky part is converting the drops, because you obviously don't want renewal equips to drop and you don't want to have the ridiculously high elunium and oridecon drop rates that came with some renewal maps, but of course you still want to have drops on the maps that are worth hunting for.

For monster stats you usually want to reduce their level and increase their ATK and base exp (but depends on level range of monsters), but that's easy to convert.

And of course you need to move all the NPCs from renewal to pre-renewal (including warp), but that should also not be too hard, just a bit of busy work (especially since you also need to test it all).

I agree with what you're saying in that, while the game mechanics of renewal are stupid, trash even, the dungeons and new areas are exciting and fun to experience.
I personally would never go back to renewal because of the terrible game mechanics and overpowered, game-breaking gears, however, some of my favorite places and quests in RO take place after renewal.
Places such as El Dicastes and Nidhoggur's nest are so mystical with background music and quests that really captivate your imagination.

I honestly haven't seen much of the renewal regions. The close-to-official servers I played on started to convert them, but they oriented themselves on the New World difficulty from pre-re and that was way beyond my casual gamer capabilities.

Also the server I was on unfortunately also closed down after a while because I could get strong enough.

Would really be curious to see them. But then again I always get worked up about customization I don't agree with. xD

Maybe should just make an offline server for myself to check out these regions lol.

You should try it. I should poison you with some high rate servers haha.

Dude theres so many much better out there on renewal trust me, watching KRO streamers made me love RO again all over for the new content.

GUYS, why don't we go on a server and explore stuff together on renewal? Since we are all newbies to the renewal era so we might understand more one another. Everyone on the server i'm in knows what they are doing im just the clueless one honestly. Also looking for someone to play with ;_;

Ah if only I was a younger version of myself, I might take you up on that offer. You're probably right. There's probably way cooler looking areas and fantastical quests to experience now. Last time I played renewal was like 2013-2014.

Unfortunately, nowadays, I can't be arsed to actually play much, nor find the time, so I simply talk and reminisce about RO rather than actually playing it. I'm simply too old and busy. It stinks lol, but I know RO will be enjoyed by the younger generations for a while, and that makes me happy.

I'd probably play RO again eventually, but the past 10 years I've been waiting for the server that nails it and at the same time also has some kind of marketing strategy that works (so there are 1000+ players).

Right now I'm playing Tree of Savior lol, that is imo still the better alternative to Renewal RO, a lot of places to explore and great OST too. But it also makes me want to go back to RO.

Some pre-re servers have renewal instances/sprites on their servers, not all but only some.

But the new server type Zero mechanics, will make you experience pre-re and renewal at the same time, its not a custom thing, its really from kRO:zero.

Renewal today is a big change, you will have to learn slowly and do not rush, otherwise you'd be overwhelmed with information. I'm amazed on how much changes it had when I last played on it last 2015 or 2016ish.
