what is the best combination of card when pvping ?

2 hydra 2 TG ?

2 hydra 1 tg 1 skel worker?

also when hunting mvp

3 AK or 2 AK 1 TG?

does 2 wickebine stacks ? so that i can get 10% chance of stripping armor

wireless

I don't know about the others, but Wickebine card is definitely not worth it even if it does stack. It's not 5 or 10% chance of stripping armor, but a chance of casting level 1 strip armor which has 7% success chance so the chance of actually stripping armor is very low.

2 hydra 2 tg
1.4 * 1.4 = 1.96

2 hydra 1 tg 1 skel worker
1.4 * 1.2 * 1.15 = 1.932

2 hydra 2 tg is better

when hunting MVP
3 AK = 1.75

2 AK 1 TG
1.5 * 1.25 = 1.875

2 ak 1 tg is better

btw last time i saw a guide about cards almost the whole guide consist of multiplications . can someone put the link here? i really need to see that again

Just a small thing, I believe TG in eAthena stacks additively with AKs, since they have the same script (bonus2 bAddRace,RC_Boss,x), which would make it 1.70, making it worse than 3 AKs.
The Magnum break bonus never-missing damage and pushback/AoE might make it worth it though, depending on the situation even if it's kinda unreliable.

Triper

Yeah, they add afaik, the rule of same script is applied so 2ak+1tg = 1.5+1.2=1.7 as you said so 3 ak[1.75] > 2ak+tg but remember that ak+element+race = 1.25*1.2*1.2 = 1.8 and for some specific hunt it's better.

i know this question is out of the topic but i dont want to create a new topic for this one.

is 2 hydra 2 TG is the best card for a weapon? in pvping . also im using a stalker BB type .

Triper

Not always, depends on some factors as the atk of the weapon, slots of the weapon available, other gears, class, what you want to do with it and if BG weapons are available or not.

Here is +/- a brief explanation to help you understand how modifiers work based on this 2tg+2hydra case.
Spoiler

  • 2 TG + 2 Hydra
  • 2 TG = 20%*2
  • 2 Hydra = 20%*2
  • Your base dmg is 100% = 1
  • 20% = 0.2
  • Different scripts multiply
  • Equal scripts add
  • 2 TG side = 1+[0.2*2] = 1.4
  • 2 Hydra side = 1+[0.2*2] = 1.4
  • Since both sides are different they will multiply so you get 1.4*1.4 = 1.96
You can apply this[after adapting it ofc] to any % modifiers as long as you don't forget that the final result is to multiply by the atk of the weapon[with +atk gears added in there too] after applying the size modifier of the weapon.
Example 1 - Weapon doesn't have penalty vs medium size[100% = 1 vs medium size] and has 100 atk: [100*1]*1.96= 196
Example 2 - Weapon has a 25% penalty vs medium size[100%-25%=75%=0.75 vs medium size] and has a 120 atk: [120*0.75]*1.96=176.4 ~ 176

Based on this you can check yourself what is better according situations.

this is also out of the topic but i want to ask all of my questions here to avoid many posts .. hmm does mastersmith card and meltdown combine its chance ? so i get 20% to break weapon and 14% chance to break armors?

Triper

If they're scripted the same way they should be but don't trust on what I'm saying since I never tested that.
