Responding to the initial post instead of whatever bickering is going on in this thread, my definition of overpowered is very simple: If there is no viable counter to the skill/build/item, then it's overpowered.  If there's a build, an equip setup, anything that can take the tiny flaw in Joe ROer's +10 Build of AssWhooping and tear it wide open, then all is well in the world of balance.  Of course, if said counter-setup is only useful for beating Joe and nothing else, there may be a problem to look into.

But if you need to have a specific build of one class just to counter one build of another class, that's pretty hardcore.

lol silly littlechan no need to fear us =o

sides the ledger of death (aka the death note, original huh? XD) was 30% a while ago i think... eA/gravity will prob change it i bet.... that or make it as impossible to get as a mvp card

I'm not fear, just some kind of...being a new comer? XD

overpowered is blacksmith's skill...wait, it's over thrust XD

overpowered is when the whole thor dungeon (including the ifrit) get rid out by one people only =X

PS:without using any pots

Overpowered is when some GM decides to put some stupid looking wings that give 5+ to all stats and slotted.

R e D

^ Yeah most specially when they put different effects on it. >_<

Plague

Something being over-powered means that no matter what you do you can't hang with it. Lets just pretend a SinX had a skill like asura....That would be overpowered. Basically it's when a GM doesn't think and makes characters unbalanced, which happens alot with the customs and such.

In my personal opinion none of the classes are overpowered, nor are any underpowered. Even the widely loathed Ninja and Gunslinger can put up a tough fight if a player knows what (s)he is doing.

Overpoweredness usually comes down to the items. 99% of the times these are all custom ones.
As for the Ledger of Death: the Coma chance is not 10%. If I'm reading the coding right it's only 1%. I've tried it on RMS for a bit on an afternoon of boredom and never had it trigger (as far as I noticed. Kinda hard if it triggers when a monster is a.g.a.d.).

The coma book got nerfed to 1% (same as edge)

IMO nothing is really overpowered right now.

If high damage skills were reduced (Guillotine Fist, EDP+Link SB, Acid Demonstration) woe would be awfully slowpaced since anyone with decent equips could outpot most things easily

Some things ARE powerful but definitely not overpowered. Everybody complains about Assassin Crosses.
Think of a High Wizard with extravagant INT/MATK, gospel bonus, stat foods, Bragi and Devo, about 150 Dex and 150 - 170 INT with gospel combined with Salamander and Red Ferus or even Fallen Bishop Card can pretty much defend a whole castle.
That's overpowered because people are used to "weak" wizards thus wear no mdef gears

lol i know a wizz like that, insta cast, 14k dmg with JT
about 9k dmg per SG hit

its pretty funny to watch her run into pvp and fry everyone, but the down side to that is she needs to leave about ever minute to rebuff or else

My guild has a High Priest who can get hit by the same SG two times w/o wearing any Anti-Freeze gears  ;)

Yes, his MDEF is so high the Freeze status actually breaks before the 2nd hit of the SG connects. 99/70 BTW.

High MATK Orc Hero, GTB, 24/7 Devo-ed and 140 INT Bragi-ed Hwzzies are the way to go in WoE.

XileRo is the only HR I know that has a reasonable PvP system. I did watch the RWC like you said, all I see is people spamming the room like every other gang fight there is in RO.

/hmm how does the freeze status break before the second hit, if it doesn't even get applied until the third?

PS: the wiz im talking about doesn't have any MvP cards, her gears aren't even that impressive
oh and PPS: 100 mdef = freeze resistant

I thought Freeze happened after getting hit a second time?

ah. then he probably mean after the first SG's third hit, when the 2nd SG's first hit connects.

He has... 90+ MDEF >.>
