Overpowered

xD ... That's a well designed Asura PVP Champion who targets low HP characters. So... Eh? xD

Over powered is the example of someone with donation items being able to MVP using a novice. o_O; WTF to that.

Over-powered, to me, is when a single item instantly makes another class useless. [ Golden Thief Bug. =P ]

Other than that, here's another very prime example of an over-powered item: Ledger of Death. xD 10% chance to coma anyone hit by it, a professor also has the ability to curse EVERYONE on screen by a small chance, not to mention it increases attack speed so you can coma or curse them FASTER. xD Add to the fact that it has pretty decent stats bonuses, and even has two card slots available, which is fairly standard slotting for Books anyway. xD To me, it really over does it.

... This is coming from a Battle Prof player who takes full advantage of it. xD

Arch Bishop Hibrahm card: 10% more matk and 50% more magic damage on demihumans in a non strippable, non breakable gear slot is Beyond Overpowered.

EDP: 400% more damage with all melee attacks and some skills on a class that has plenty of strong attacks already and some very strong poisons, which also has the third highest HP mod in the game. IMBA!!!

Assassin Cross Soul Link:  2x sonic blow damage on a class that has EDP?  GEE GRAVITY, Thanks!

I thought about overpowered things for a while:

Arc Bishop = Render you useless if you do not spam Blue Pots, which are costy to hell. By the way, it's rare a card that boost MATK.
EDP = Stronger than MOvertrust, for a class that can become invisible and come close fast, its obviously overpower.
Assassin Cross Link = The only truly good link, all the other sucks/aren't as good.(But they ARE supposed to be OHKO)
GTB Card = ): No buffs/Heal/Anything related to magic = Ruin yourself, seeing as people that use this card on woe die the same way, it would be good only in 1x1 agaisn't wizards/sages/magic based cards.

Overpowered is when 90% and more of the server population agrees that something definitely is overpowered. If not, it probably isn't.

I disagree. Links as useful include the soul linker link, and the clown/gypsy link.

[Aren't as Good], If the soul linker link gave soul linker power to esma characters, even with half damage, it would be good as Assassin one(Not saying its bad, Godly Buffs Ftw, but it isn't as godly as assassin link), Clown/Gypsie is good(Bards dancing with hearts around still freaks me.)

When i think of some item, some skill, or some class being "overpowered' i think of items or skills that held one certain class subtantially dominate over all the others. Items can be overpowered when well......they give like you said +10 allstats, but only when like 5% of your players get them, through say donations, is when the other 95% of players start calling it 'overpowered' because they believe that donation items that give donating players +10 allstat advantage over non-donating players is extremely unbalanced.
(custom gears on private servers are the worst when you give them a large stat bonus).

It's totally true though... I think it's just human nature for the first assumption to be "they must have some l337 gears!" instead of "damn, they're better than me even though I know all there is to know about this class and have played Rangarok for four years".

If I get owned in pvp I always think they must have cheated somehow, and end up devoting massive amounts of time and zeny to build a character specifically to own that other person so I can feel better about myself. Most of the time, it turns out to just be that my build wasn't made to counter theirs.

I don't pvp at all anymore lol. it's too stressful.

also, the idea of edp being overpowered makes me cringe, as a big fan of that skill, because it rocks... I do think it is overpowered on a server with max level over 99/70 though. Because typically, sinx don't have buckets of dex, so first they have to hunt the stupid items to make the poison bottles and fail a lot of the time because of low dex, and then the stupid bottle only lasts a minute... but a server where sinx can have buckets of dex without compromising other stats, or a server where there's a freaking npc selling them makes the skill overpowered.

side note: was on inRO looking at vendors. retail cost of 1 poision bottle? ~230k zeny. Kinda steep for 1 minute of godly damage.

so yes, the skill itself is ridiculously overpowered, but the requirements make it so you typically don't have sinx walking around on a normal server with perma-edp.
