Just curious:
is a super low rate within the client settings even possible to setup with a small value change?
or do you have to change every exp value from every monster in the datafiles manually?

with super low rate, i mean like:
0,5x rates in exp (yes - half of a 1x server)

dreaming to see a 0,5x exp rate classic pretrans server, with like 1x - 3x drop rate  /ok

I think the easiest way to do this is to change the exp required for each level up. Simply double the numbers to effectively have a 0.5x exp server.   Add a 0 to the numbers to have a 0.1x server.

It's still a little tedious, but not quite as unreasonably time consuming as changing all the exp values of all the monsters.

Are there not already some permanent pre-trans servers? If not, I'm surprised. I thought many people liked the simplicity of pre-trans Ragnarok.
Six major towns, six classes.
Swordsman/Izlude,
Acolyte/Prontera,
Archer/Payon,
Thief/Morroc,
Mage/Geffen,
Merchant/Alberta.
Nothing much else going on.
It's not for me, but I respect the simplicity and fundamentals of Ragnarok.
It's kind of like a perfect balance with each of the six becoming one of twelve choices for 2-2 classes.
Like the 12 zodiac signs.  /omg
Bard/Dancer must be Gemini

it's one of the easier ways if you only know how to change text files, but there is an easier way as long as you know how to manage basic server files

i'd say the easiest way to do this is to go to the line of code in source that awards the exp and divide the exp by whatever amount you're going for( /2 for 0.5x) in the same place it would normally multiply it with rates

edit: no bros, you have it all wrong

battle conf exp text already does things in %, just change the 100 to a 50 if you want 0.5x
